I just got a job in Montana and now the freaking building is burning down… …and I’m stuck inside. I’m about to die a broke, boyfriend-less virgin until a fireman bursts into the room. He’s come to save me from the flames, but when I see the territorial way he’s looking at me, I start to wonder who’s going to save me from him? Because this mean-looking grizzly bear shifter named Ethan Sullivan thinks I’m his now. “I saved you. You’re mine,” he keeps growling at me. He keeps calling me his mate and I’m not about to correct him when he’s got that feral look in his eyes. He wants to leave his mark on me. He keeps saying he’s going to claim me, whatever that means. I’ve always had a thing for firemen, but this rough wild-looking man is more than just a pretty image in a calendar. He’s real. He won’t take his possessive hands off me and he’s full-on obsessed with my curves. This protective alpha wants me all for himself and he’s letting everyone know it. Especially me…
Ready for an alpha who can handle the heat and likes his girl with some meat? Ethan is a dominant Over-The-Top grizzly bear shifter who will have you howling for more. This is the first book in the Alphas In Heat series featuring the bear shifters from the Blackcloud Point fire station. Fire-fighting bear shifters? Yes, please! The books can be read in any order.
This fireman romance shifter book is SAFE, with no cheating, and a furry HEA guaranteed. Enjoy!
Olivia T. Turner. Look at those initials baby! I was born to write OTT!
I love Over The Top alpha males who are possessive and completely obsessed with their women. These dark powerful men take what they want!
If you like your book boyfriends sweet and cuddly than shut the computer off and walk away. If you like your heroes, rough, dirty and possessive to the extreme, come on in and have some fun…
Always 'safe' with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA.
The flames burst through the drywall and spread into the room. I wince when I feel the intense heat. My skin is slick with sweat, but it’s doing nothing to cool me off. The footsteps get louder and then I see him. He’s massive. So big that his muscles strain against the big baggy firefighter uniform hung on his giant frame. His thick coat molds to his round biceps and is pulled tight against his enormous chest. He’s not wearing a helmet and I swallow hard when I see his face. It’s hard with rough edges and a mean-looking scowl that softens when he lays his sexy brown eyes on me. A jolt of something sizzles through me as he stands in the flaming doorway and locks his territorial brown eyes on me with a heated stare. I must look like shit. Sweaty, make-up running, hair a hot mess. It’s ridiculous to think of what I look like right now when death is still a very serious possibility, but I can’t help what goes through my head. He stomps into the room on his thick powerful legs and kneels down in front of me. “It’s you…” he says in a deep growly voice as he stares at me in awe. There’s something about the way he’s looking at me. Like he recognizes me or like he’s found something that he’s been searching for and never quite found. I know I’ve never seen him before. I would have remembered that. You don’t forget seeing someone like him. His big hand is shaking as he slowly reaches out and cups my cheek. I lick my lips as an undeniable urge to kiss him rips through me. Maybe I just want to feel a man’s lips on mine before I die, or maybe the smoke is making me hallucinate, but something is pulling me toward this man. Something strong and undeniable.
Very mediocre but luckily very short. The writing wasn’t strong and there’s an attempt at a plot without actually doing the work of writing any of the details about that plot. The climax was too ridiculous for me and I could have done without the two cheesy epilogues. I didn’t enjoy my time reading this book (hence the two stars) but I probably spent less than an hour reading it so this wasn’t a waste of time or anything. If you like more possessive shifter stories, you might enjoy this more than I did.
This is a great start to a new set of alpha bear stories! Ethan is so excited and enamored with Chloe right off the bat. So steamy and sweet to see them find their HEA. Just a quick note, this author has the best dedications to her books! Do yourself a favor and don’t skip over them!
Ethan is slowly calling it quits in finding a mate.. its been ages and he thinks he won't find her, but when they are at a burning building he smells her his mate is trapped in that building he goes in and saves his mate Chloe.. shes handcuffed to a desk by her evil boss who knows she knows to much about the shady things he done.
Now she's thinks she's going to die until a growly beast like firefighter saves her and doesn't want to leave her side..
Chloe and Ethan are so cute together its so sweet he would die to protect his girl ❤❤❤ His bear is so overprotective i swear lol like i never seen a bear that protective before.

I’m always on the prowl for a safe shifter romance. This fit the bill. I mean, what is hotter than a grizzly bear shifter who is a fireman?
What brought my rating down was hearing about all the women he has turned down over the years. The phone numbers and naked women showing up in his room etc Definitely could have done without that. I was chugging along enjoying the story and that took the wind out of my sails.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama -dual virgins (as a fated mate story should be IMO) -no violence of a sexual nature -epilogues 7 months and 8 years later
Ethan a fireman thinks he will never find his mate as he has already searched all over. So he has come to terms that he will never have one.
Chloe gets handcuffed to a desk in a burning building by her boss for knowing to much. Ethan comes to her rescue and he can't take his eyes off her. His bear has found his mate and has one thing on his mind, and that's to claim her.
What is it with these very young women/heroines or girls and older/old men/hero's ?? (some old enough to be their fathers or older! In this case the heroine is 19 years old and the hero is 36 years old! She is not even of Minimum Legal Drinking Age (21) and he serves her alcohol on more than one occasion... (each to their own… but🤨🥴 !) These big age gaps … it is kind of creepy even if they are mates or fated mates.
I think it takes away something from story in a negative way, and it gives out a unsettling vibe and can be a quite off putting trope depending on the story and how the hero and heroine are portrayed etc. (In this case and with these characters it was off putting and well weird/creepy)
And even if the hero was kind of grumpy and sweet, the creepy feel just took over... I wanted to like the heroine and hero and their romance etc …. But the story just got weird rather fast and it really creeped me out how the hero talked about the heroine (she is after all still a teenager)
And all the surrounding drama with the other kind of shifter/her ex-boss etc. It was just confusing and too much for this rather short story. The bond/chemistry is super insta but that comes with genre more or less.
It is not a bad story/book and I like that the author seems too primarily write about plus size/BBW heroines and that is good and a positive thing, because inclusion and diversity is needed in all genres.
Not bad at all if you can see past certain issues… But for me there where too many things that took away from the story so that is why I gave it 3 stars (it gets an extra star because it was a freebie through the author/bookfunnel etc. and because it had a plus size/BBW heroine and was/is size inclusive)

She’s the most precious thing in the world to me and my bear, and she’s going to find out just how possessive a pair we are.
Whoa! I just read my new favorite of Olivia T. Turner story. Bear shifter, dual virgins at its best. This was her most intense story, in my opinion. The way she described the internal struggle between the H and this bear...I could just feel it. He also had a touch of vulnerability where the h was concerned which just made it better. -dual virgins -older man, younger woman -dual POV -no cheating or abuse -no OM OW drama -epilogues at 7 months and 8 years If you're a fan of OTT stories, then you don't want to miss out on this one. Get your one click finger ready.
Bound to The Alpha is the story of Chloe and Ethan.
They meet when she’s involved in a fire that was supposed to kill her and they guy Alywin as the killer. He’s a dragon shifter and apparently she knew too much. Ethan comes to save her in time and he’s kissing the fuck out of her and he’s just met her for gods sake. He takes her back to his house and the shower scene OMFG I WAS FLUSTERED ASF. The scene with Alywin where he was fighting Ethan was all possessive and shit made me so hot. When he killed Alywin I was like you go. The second epilogue with the notes UGH SO CUTE AND HER LITTLE CUBS. Parker, Amelia, Jake, and Jessica. I want their stories to.
I loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable and steamy. The characters were interesting and likable with a couple of exceptions. Chloe’s boss was a real piece of work. He definitely deserved the comeuppance that he received. Ethan was protective, possessive, and obsessive but also totally sweet. Chloe was brave, sweet, and sassy. Their attraction and connection was completely over the top but so awesome. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.
I really liked the start of this one. It was light and fun. The guys were all funny-cute, and Ethan was super grumpy in a sweet, endearing way. I was looking forward to meeting the heroine and following their relationship. But things got weird real quick.
The whole chained to the desk so your boss can kill you in an office fire because apparently you "know too much" was a bit too much plot for a 100 page book. It seemed weird, and we never find out what Chloe knew. In fact, she said she didn't know what she might have known that would make him want to kill her. It was just a bit bizarre and pointless. I liked the firefighter finding his mate in a fire and saving her, but I think it would have fit the beginning style of the book if it was more of an accident instead of something nefarious.
The May-December relationship is sometimes ok for me, but this book is one of those instances when it feels more creepy than romantic. Talking about wanting her before she was born? Talking about putting your cock in her teenage cunt?
Just creepy. He also makes her mojitos at one point, but it's weird because she's only 19 and can't legally drink.
The chemistry between them besides that is fine. It's super quick insta-love, but not totally ridiculous. I personally don't like how in this universe people know about shifters, and I don't like how the man and bear are two separate entities sharing the same body. The way he talks to the bear inside him, and has to fight to keep the animal from taking over his body makes him seem a bit nuts.
Just didn't work for me.
And the fight at the end? Weird, pointless, and unbelievable. Bear vs dragon, and the dragon doesn't just wipe him out with fire?
Not to mention all the cringy lines about not coming between a bear and its mate. And then not just one, but two, super cheese-ball epilogues.
I don't know, if the author had kept the light, fun style she used for the first third of the story, it probably would have been a winner for me. The direction it ended up going just didn't work with so few pages in the book.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
This is the first book of Olivia’s new shifter novella series.
In Bound to the Alpha you meet Ethan, a grumpy 36 year old firefighting bear shifter that hasn’t found his mate yet. That is, until he and his partners get called to an office fire - the smell he catches is the sweetest he has ever smelled and his grizzly goes on a rampage knowing that after all this time he has finally found her. Chloe is a 19 year old that comes from a broken home in Atlanta, after getting kicked out of her stepdad’s house she bought a one way ticket on the first bus leaving the station. It took her to Montana and she got a job as a secretary for a sketchy as hell boss, Aylwin Kirk. After things went belly up for Aylwin, he handcuffs Chloe to a desk and leaves her to die after he sets the building on fire. When Chloe and Ethan meet, the sparks fly and the steam that follows will make your kindle melt. Ethan will do anything and everything to protect his mate and keep her safe from Aylwin. The happily ever after that comes afterwards is so sweet. You also get a glimpse of a few of the past characters from Olivia’s first shifter series! I love that Olivia is able to write an action packed story with well developed characters, so much kindle melting hotness and pack it into a novella. She never disappoints me and I can’t wait to read her other shifter books in this series.
**I received an ARC of this novella for free in return for my honest review**
Umm... so this was alright. A bit over the top and a little cringe. You don't have to super descriptive in your sex scenes for them to be good. A lot of descriptions were overly used and it really wasn't needed. Along with that, the fight with the dragon shifter was all over the place.
I have the full series on my kindle, so I might keep reading just because I already have them. But I doubt that it's going to get any better than this one.
Good intro to new series, shifters are celibate as they wait to find their mates. The H is about to give up any hope, when he's called to a fire and he rescues his mate. She's human and can't believe their attraction. It's short, sweet and steamy and I liked it more than I should have, because once again she falls into being a baby maker and he gets to be the fireman. It had some good elements and some of the same old.
These books are so short and sweet. I’ve been reading sooo much angsty messed up books recently that these wee gems are keeping me entertained lol. Not much of a plot, easy reading, Insta love & lots of smut. I love a wee shifter romance 😅😂
This was cute. I tend to judge erotica harshly because they’re normally short like this. Meaning, there’s no full fledged plot. However, that aside, this was quite enjoyable.
YES! I loooooved being back in this world! I love how we get a sneak peak into how the other characters from the last series are doing in Blackcloud Point. 🥰🥰
With Olivia Turner, I tend to really enjoy the first book in a series of hers and meh with the others. But I’m excited for how Carters story is gunna play out. 😂😂😂
(⚠️WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!⚠️)

The opening to the Alphas in Heat novella series by queen of smut and OTT, Olivia T. Turner. Fyi, I started off reading her works from Ridge Brothers Bear Shifter Series and it surprised me that she got another series revolving shifters world in Blackcloud Point!
I would honestly say, she had the best sexy & safe novella series in PNR genre besides Alexa Riley. I love how she always had different settings when it comes to every sexy scenes and I also love her story telling style.
Sometimes when you read too much sexy reads, you ended up being bored, but with her works I always found myself excited to see what she had to offer with the story (and damn those sexy scenes are indeed hot!!) I think if she decided to make a full length novel, it'd be amazing!
So yeah, I think this book really opened the series well. We got Ethan, the grumpy grizzly shifter, but honestly one of the sweetest from all the fifth and Chloe, the sweet h that is so innocent even myself wanted to protect her at all cost.
They are one of my fav couple in this series along with Westin and Kimberly. I even shed some tears when they risked their own lives for each other..If only I got the same bond with someone like them..
(Small spoiler!) But as a small details seeker like me, I must add that I really wonder how Chloe didn't bring herself to hospital after inhaling so much smoke from the fire. If I was Ethan, even if I got this rage needs inside of me, I would bring my mate to get a full check up. Better to prevent, right? But what do I know? Maybe as a shifter and someone who received first aid training, he already knew that Chloe was fine which she was. But like, for me it was kinda turning off the vibe, including the scene where Ethan just stopped and kissed Chloe in the middle of fire!! Well, thankfully, it didn't ruin the overall book, so I would still rate this book high, bcs of their chemistry and the conflicts.
Like always, you know the formula : -Safe and 100% guaranteed HEA -No OW/OM drama -Dual virgins!!
Would recommend it to every OTT lovers out there, 4/5❤
Bears and dragons oh my. Chloe is nineteen has had a rough start in life a little naive and willing to follow. Ethan is a thirty six year old firefighting grizzly bear shifter , he is book one in this firefighter shifter series. When Ethan and his team are called out to an office fire he has all but given up on finding his mate, his bear has not and when the smoke has a scent mixed in catches his attention his bear fight tooth and claws. It is his mate. Chloe's boss she finally realized is a criminal, the FBI should of been a red flag but like I said naive and willing to follow. So now she is hand cuffed to her desk her boss left her there and set the place on fire. Ethan jumps off the top of the truck tucks and rolls and sprints into the burning building. The flames forgotten as they stare at each other. Hey guys the building is going to collapse you can stop kissing now. Ethans bear is in control right now, he won't let anyone male or female near Chloe. So after apologizing to his captain for growling at him he gets time off to tend to Chloe. All the while his inner bear is thinking, he smelled the scent of a dragon shifter back at the fire. So now we start the mating process, Chloe feels something magnetic towards Ethan, it is not until Ethan tells her the truth that she is his mate that the pieces start to fit. This book has passion, chemistry, confusion, action, laugh out loud moments, orgasms galore, hot double virgin sex, grumpy bear, fire and I don't mean metaphoric. After about a week of constant sex, Ethan and Chloe go to her apartment to pack, both notice a car following them. Turns out dragons do exist but a possessive bear is stronger. Years later a happy bear makes a happy furry family.
We are first introduced to Ethan, the firefighting hero, as he rushes to a fire with what I am sure are the rest of the heroes in this new series. Ethan is a shifter with a really cranky grizzly as his animal half that has given up on finding his mate, only to find her in the burning building they are rushing to. He rushes into the building to find Chloe, his mate, handcuffed to her desk by the villain of the story. This first meeting is the reason for the loss of 1/2 a star.
I am all for being overcome with intense passion and feelings. What bothers me is when that happens in the context of imminent (and I mean imminent) physical danger. If nothing else, Ethan's instinct to protect his mate should have been front and center.
Other than that, I loved everything about Ethan and Chloe's story. Ethan's very apparent struggle with his grizzly over wooing/claiming Chloe, and Ethan's extreme possessiveness made me a very happy reader. I am also happy that the external conflict was dealt with and quickly toward the end of the book, leaving the bulk of the story revolving around their relationship. In a full length novel, I am all for fully fleshed out suspense. In a novella, gimme the love story. I read romance for a reason.
I received an ARC of the book in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
Bound to Alpha is an entertaining tale of a fireman shifter meeting his mate. I enjoyed Turner’s portrayal of Ethan, the reluctant mate. The interactions between him and his inner bear give him a vulnerability to temper his alpha persona. His struggle with his biology and well-mannered upbringing makes him a relatable hero. The steamy scenes between Ethan and Chloe showed this hero to be positively swoon-worthy. Where I struggled is with Chloe’s portrayal at the beginning of the novel. She is whisked from a burning building to an ambulance to be covered with Ethan’s kisses with no questions or complaints. Within hours he barges into her in the shower of his private residence and her first thoughts are to have her way with him. She seems so sexually attracted to him that nothing else matters. His shifter status, his sequestering her in his house or his violence toward her coworkers do not raise any red flags. Chloe is a runaway with a violent past whose employer just tried to kill her and she instantly trusts Ethan. While the pair have a chemistry that is off the charts, she is too gullible for my taste. Overall, Turner’s vivid descriptions of Montana and the characterization of Ethan make this book a great read.
