Very short and sparse. We get to see how Striker meets and rescues Alex. All events happen during the previous book "Ice"

Ooo another big bad alien breed. Breaking down doors, killing people and being sweet to children. Gotta love these stories. And the covers aren't bad either. Gives you a good image for the character.
Strike is trying to cover for his best friend when he needs him the most. With trying to help him, he comes across a lovely petite woman named Alex. Now is only issue is to keep her safe and save his best friends mate too.

Tamtam was afraid that Alex was going to get herself into trouble. She knew something big was going on, something involving the government that maybe even the President doesn’t know! Tamtam was worried the FBI would show up and tried to warn her off. Her phone rang and a man asked for Alex One, refusing to say how he got the number. He had an assignment he wanted to discuss in person and told her where to meet him. Although she refused to meet him without knowing where he got the number and who she was dealing with, Tamtam had decided he had enough. He would be leaving for Argentina in three days and asked her to come with him. It was time to “retire” from her hacking work. But she wasn’t ready to stop.
Strike, a human/alien hybrid, steals a book for his handler and puts it in a safe deposit box. Ice has run into a problem and Strike has to wait until the handler resolves it. When Strike checks email, Ice contacts him by Chat Messenger and asks for his help. Ice’s woman, Miriam, was taken by Player who enjoyed torturing his victims. Ice was given a video and knew he had to rescue her that night or it would be too late. He needed a hacker who can tell him where the video was taken, and he knew Strike had contacts that could help.
Strike finds a hacker, Alex, to help Ice, expecting it to be a man. What he is surprised to discover is that Alex is a gorgeous female named Alexandra! The two of them end up being kidnapped. During their time together, they begin to care for each other. Will they be able to escape to help Ice? Is there a future for the two of them as well?
This is a very different kind of series that still seems to pique my curiosity. The Breed are humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then usually abused and tortured or at least used illegally by their handlers for nefarious purposes. Each has their own story that captures the attention of the reader. Give it a try and let the story line and the characters pull you into their world.

My only complaint about this book was that it was to short.
It was the next in the Alien Breed series following ICE. Strike is one of the three Breeds that the mysterious "X" stole when she disappeared from DMI. He is a lot like ICE in the ways that his kills are swift and painless unlike Player who likes to torture his prey before finally killing them.
Strike is contacted by ICE to help save Miriam, which leads him to hunt down and find AlexOne. AlexOne turns out to be Alexandra, and Strike instantly knows that she is HIS, but due to a history Alex is antagonistic towards Strike. Finally her story comes out after the two are kidnapped by another mob syndicate and threatened to kill Alex if she doesn't help them steal from another syndicate.
When the house is attacked Strike and Alex escape, and Strike takes Alex to the local police station and leaves her there before going back to seek revenge. When the police finally arrive all that is left is bodies and Strike, although he doesn't know that he has some powerful friends in his corner.
Alex is taken to the Senator's house and Miriam explains what it means when a Alien Breed takes a mate, and that when Strike hurt her it was because he thought he would never see her again. While this is going on, the charges against Strike, Ice, and Player are dropped and Strike and Ice go to the Senator's house with the Senator. Strike wants to find his mate but doesn't know she is waiting for him.
Finally, they are able to go to Eden with other Alien Breeds, and other couples just like them.
Like I said before my only complaint is just how short this book was. I absolutely love the Alien Breed series and can't wait to read Player's story!

It was while they were together that a number of men with guns stormed her place and captured them. Alex was a talented hacker and their captors wanted her to do some illegal hacker. They made sure that either one of them would be harmed if she refused or if he tried to escape. Fortunately when the compound they were held in was attacked they were able to escape and Strike left her at the police station notify the FBI of what had occured. Then he returned to repay their abductors for what they had done. This was a quick read with characters that fall in love under the worst of circumstances. Strike felt he was not good enough for Alex, he had committed many crimes in the belief he was protecting the innocent but when he learned the truth he knew she deserved a man without death on his hands.

What can happen when you help a friend named Ice
Strike is a great story with an engaging story-line and a couple wonderful characters in Strike and Alex. This is a bit of a continuation of the story-line from the previous book, ICE, in the series. Ice calls on Strike for help in saving Miriam. In order to do this Strike reaches out to AlexOne, an infamous hacker, as he will need this persons talents. What Strike does not know until he lays eyes on AlexOne is that Alex is not a man but a very beautiful young woman. All he knows immediately is that Alex is his and he needs to claim her in no uncertain terms and all sorts of ways. But they are both in danger and their story takes several twists along the way in which Strike will have to try and keep Alex protected and safe from all threats.

Wow, this is a fantastic, entertaining alien hybrid romance & I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The plot is well-written & really entertaining with some unexpected assumptions & situations. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are quite interesting & very unique with their individuality, I particularly liked the romantic approach the author took with the alien hybrid breed (Strike) & the human female (Alex aka AlexOne)
There is: a male alien hybrid (Strike) prepared to do anything to help his friend (Ice) requests help from a talented hacker (AlexOne) only to discover that he is actually a she, drama, intrigue, suspense, secrets, adventure, action, blackmail, threats danger, violence, conflict, strange attractions, abduction, memories, manipulations, disagreements, a colony, contentment, love, mates, happiness, some steam & a wonderful conclusion.

A brilliant read!!
I first met Strike when I read Ice and liked him straight away.
In his story he is trying to help Ice and he goes to find a hacker called AlexOne. He was expecting a man well he got a shock when it turned out that she was a beautiful young lady. And Strike couldnt understand his attraction to her. He was ready to protect her with his life. It wasn't long before the building they were in was attacked and the only two people left alive was Alex and Strike. They are kidnapped and now Strike must find a way to escape and keep Alex safe.
Oh this is a lovely story. I really like these two, there was just something about the attraction, the passion, the chemistry. It just all works. This is series is just brilliant!!!

This story overlaps with the previous one, Ice, and kicks off when Ice reaches out to Strike for help, the kind only a hacker can provide — and he hopes his friend knows just the hacker. Alex is that hacker, and she is full of surprises, including the fact she is a she. Strike is drawn to her at first sight, but as events unfold, he proves to be exactly the man this hacker needs in her life.
Both of these characters had lives they thought they understood and were running along smoothly, until the day they discovered there was more to their own life than they had considered.
A solid done in one quick read, that provides the reader with everything they need to read Strike as a stand-alone story.

When he great to see AlexOne and is shocked to find it is a young woman. Alex agrees to find what he wants and when she does he phones Ice and gives him the address he needs. Shortly after the building is attacked and all but Alex and Strike are killed. They are hustled into a vehicle and taken to another location where a criminal boss tells them it is because Alex had not replied to his request for her services. They know they need to escape.

“Strike” is an amazingly entertaining tale of a human/alien hybrid. This is Strike and Alex’s story and there is exciting chemistry between the main characters. This tale has drama, action, and suspense. I love this series as each tale is of love and redemption. It is emotional and realistic and funny and intriguing and intoxicating to the senses. “Alien Breed” is the kind of series that draws you in, and gets you hooked so that you are fully invested in the characters and the series. I can’t wait to get started on the next book in this series!

I'm coming in late in the series but Strike's story has me hooked. This hit man(with a heart) gave me the feels and I was so happy at the end he settled with his mate Alex. Alex had cold feet(understandable of what she had to go thru in the past) but Strike made her see love was possible thru all the nastiness she endured in past. Strike was reluctant too thinking he wasn't worthy of Alex's love but everything worked out at end. I'm so ready for the next story in the Alien Breed series. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

This is the story of Alex and Strike. He will do anything to help his friend Ice even asking a hacker named AlexOne, who turns out to be a human female when he was expecting a man. They're kidnapped and forced to work for the kidnapper. The more time Strike and Alex spend together the stronger their attraction for each other grows and the danger mounts. I enjoyed the intrigue, adventure, and rollercoaster of emotions in this story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Story about an alien half breed Strike that goes in search of a hacker, Alex, to help his friend out, but what he finds is a woman that takes his breath away. During there short meeting they're kidnapped and forced to work for the kidnapper, while falling for each other at the same time. Alex has a troubled past with men and trust none, hit wahtvis so different about Strike that makes her want him. Read to see if these two can get out of trouble long enough to have each other.

While I couldn't get into the story because of my preferences I believe others could enjoy the book. Strike is one of the 3 Alien Breeds under the control of X on Earth and used as assassins and for assignments for her benefit. Alex is a hacker Strike contacts in an effort to track down Ice's mate when she was kidnapped. Unfortunately, after that information is shared, Alex's enemies capture her and Strike when she refuses to meet about a possible assignment.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Strike is half human/alien who needs help from a hacker, ends up being a female he is stunned by her beauty, they both end up being kidnapped. Can they both get away to help Strikes friend.

This is another entertaining entry in this series. The engaging storyline is filled with action, drama, suspense and romance. I thought Strike and Alex had good chemistry and I liked them as a couple. I still wish that these books delved a bit deeper into the details, that the characters were fleshed out more and the story was more complex because I am always left feeling that too much potential is left untapped. This is my honest, voluntary review.

This series just keeps getting better with each book. This one was just amazing from the storyline to the characters. It was extremely well written just like the others, but what makes it stand out are the characters....their depth, their personalities, and their interactions. The author created a world that just allowed me to become immersed in it. I cant wait to see what's next.

Strike went to get information for Ice about where he mate is being kept and Strike meets his mate. He saves her life and protects her. Alex falls for Strike and he leaves her confused and lonely as he goes to get rid of the men that are a danger to her. Will Alex get Strike back or will they both end up alone? A great short story

Great book. Well written. I could not put down!! If you have read Ice, then this book will tell you what happened on the other side of the phone conversation. Why Stike did not meet up and help Ice. My favorite part was where Strike saw that Alex was not a guy after all. His reaction made me laugh. I was not laughing anymore when the door broke down..... Who are these guys?.... What do they want?.....

I've read several books written by Melody Adams; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Action packed story. Alex is a hacker and Strike needs the hackers help. When he meets Alex he finds out that he is a she. During their meeting the are both kidnapped and made to work for them. Awesome story. It was short but that is OK. The story did not have to be very long. It was full of excitement, danger and finding out Strike has a mate. Surprise! I think he is the most surprised of all. I do love the ending. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

I am so happy that this series is being translated into English, this book continues on from Ice which I just read and reviewed. I’m now patiently waiting to see if more is going to be translated as I really do enjoy reading this series. The author has done a great job with world and character building.

Strike is on a mission for his friend Ice and finds Alexandra aka "AlexOne" a hacker, when all hell breaks loose and they get captured. The author has characters from the previous books make appearances throughout this series that I love. This is another well well written story line.
