One word was all it took to change everything. For years, Lauren Lawson believed happily ever afters didn’t exist for everyone—especially her. Now a decade after watching the love of her life walk away, he’s back.
Finn Reynolds is determined to win her back, but Lauren is scared. She keeps her feelings locked up to protect her fragile heart from being shattered again. But Finn has a way of getting her to open up—he always has.
Can Lauren leave the past behind and move on to a future where she never lets him go?
Stefanie Jenkins is a contemporary romance author and stay at home mom. Born and raised in Maryland, she has called Surf City, North Carolina home since 2018 with her husband, two sons and black lab. When not bringing the characters to life in her head, Stefanie enjoys reading, watching true crime or cooking shows, browsing Pinterest and collecting coffee mugs with funny sayings. You can always put a smile on her face with a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee, photos of Grant Gustin and inappropriate memes.
You know it’s going to be a good day when a Stefanie Jenkins creation appears on your kindle. The minute I saw my ARC had loaded I was instantly in a good mood.
Now what to say about Finn and Lauren? Stefanie has the ability to create a world I want to live in and characters I want to know (Seriously! Can this woman find me someone like the characters she writes or let me claim one as my own?). Finn and Lauren have a complicated past but one where they loved each other deeply. From teen sweethearts to adults who faced some difficulty and are now together their love is one for the ages. Circumstances and misunderstanding tore them apart but now reuniting at Kyler and Dani’s wedding it's time for their second chance and boy is it good.
I’m starting to believe that Stefanie is incapable of writing a hero who isn’t swoon worthy and utterly delicious and her heroines are strong female characters that you cannot help but like. Finn and Lauren’s story was so enjoyable I didn’t stop reading until I was done and then mourned the fact I won’t ever read it again for the first time. This is what second chance romances are all about.
Stefanie has quickly become one of those authors who we claim loves to collect the tears of her readers and whilst I didn’t find this instalment of her I never series as emotional it still packs a punch. Finn and Lauren were perfect for each other and I treasured the moments when they fell into that easy relationship with each other and you could see how happy they made each other. You can’t talk about this series without mentioning the couples who have come before them and it was great to see the whole I never clan and what life is like for them now.
Overall, this was a great read and I cannot wait for Kate’s story (That ending! Gah…what a tease). Congratulations on another smash hit Stefanie!
What could be done to fix a broken relationship? Simple. Communication
With that being said, I struggled with this. I'm not going to lie. It was a cute, more so cliche, second chance romance novel featuring a couple, Lauren and Finn, who clearly lacked communication skills because at least 80% of their problems would have been resolved from the get-go if they stopped running away crying and sat down and talked.
With the predictable plot, obviously it was easy to determine what would be the cause of the misunderstanding and the heartbreak of meant to be a couple, Lauren and Finn. It didn’t wow me since I have read similar books a dozen times before but I would say that the author's writing style really stood out to me and after everything, I’m a sucker for romance so I’ll come back again to see what other works this author releases.
This is the worst time for my head to let my heart take the lead.
I received an ARC of I Never Let You Go for my honest review.
I just recently discovered Stefanie thanks to a friend of mine. I read every single one of her books in record time and quickly fell in love with her stories. She has also become a friend of mine, and honestly I'm honored to know her. Stefanie has a way with words. She will pull you in to her stories right from the beginning. Her books are real, emotional, and they have the perfect amount of steaminess. Her characters are relatable, and it feels like you're hanging out with old friends when you're reading.
Deep down in my heart, I am taken.
Lauren was so broken. She loved Finn so hard, and then things happened and her life changed. She put a wall up around her heart, and she didn't want to give anyone the chance to hurt her again. She was so stubborn. I wanted to just shake her and be like "Girl, let him explain what happened." That was the thing I loved about her the most thought, she was just so real. Her feelings were genuine. If I were in the same situation she was, saw the things she saw, I would have reacted the same way. I would have tried to protect my heart at all costs like she did.
"Lauren, I know exactly what I want, and when you figure out what you want, call me. I'm not going anywhere, I promise.
Finn was amazing. He was so patient with Lauren. He had no doubts that she was it for him, and he had no problem waiting until she figured it out too. He went after what he wanted, and he wasn't afraid to put himself out there. He was just what Lauren needed to balance her out. He went above and beyond to prove to her how he felt, and I found that really admirable.
I think what got to me the most from this story was all the lost time. How a misunderstanding can cause you to miss so much time with the person you love. That instead of running from your feelings you should face them head on. You should take those risks, have those hard conversations, and put yourself out there. I can't imagine losing 10 years with the person I love because I was too afraid to face them and find out the truth. That made me so sad for Lauren and Finn. It also makes that reunion so much sweeter.
"I wished for you. I've always wished for you."
Stefanie has done it again, but it's no surprise to me. She is so good at telling these beautiful emotional stories, and making you feel something. She will make you cry when you weren't expecting to, and then make you laugh right after that. Her words flow so effortlessly and now that I've read every book she's written I can see that growth from one book to the next. I'm so glad to call her a friend, and even more honored to have read her books. She comes highly recommended by me!
Overall, this story deserves 5 STARS. There is no way it couldn't. This love story was raw, and the emotions were real. Her books make me want to curl up on the couch with some wine and chocolate chip cookies 😉. Be prepared for some tears and laughs when you read one of her books. (You also might need a fan, because whew these books can get steamy.) I can't wait to see what Stefanie does next.
I never let you go is a standalone romance written by Stephanie Jenkins. Told , in dual perspectives , this book was one compelling tale of love , passion and redemption.
This was my first book by Stephanie Jenkins and I have become a huge fan of the way she plays with words to twist them so good , that they hurt in the best ever way!!!
In this book we get to meet Lauren and Finn. Lauren was a pretty hard core character. The walls that she had built up around her heart , just seemed impossible for anyone to climb. However , I never held that against her. She truly loved Finn with all her heart and a Minor misunderstanding between them , just broke her apart. She closed off her heart after that.
Finn on the other had , was one of the most selfless person I have ever met. The way he loved Lauren was so breathtaking!! My heart hurt for him so much when Lauren refused to hear his reasonings. She was one stubborn woman. But he too didn't give up on her. After many attempts at getting her to really listen to him , he was finally successful. Now it is upto Lauren to give him a chance again and risk the heartbreak.
This book was one of the best contemporary novels I have ever read. The way the author twisted the words was amazing. It was horrifying to see , how much a single misunderstanding can destroy two people. However if the love is strong enough and both the people are willing , then you can make it.
This book is recommended to all the contemporary romance lovers , with addiction to themes such as second-chance-romance and redemption!!
I never wanted this to end! It was sooooo good. I loved Finn and Lo’s story from the very first page. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a fan of Lo at the beginning but as the story unraveled, I started to like her. I was definitely Team Finn from the beginning. He’s like the ultimate book BF. It was great seeing the rest of the family and I cannot wait for Kate and Jax’s book, that ending left me wanting their story now. Stefanie is now an auto 1-click author for me
This book was provided by the author through Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Stefanie Jenkins and Give Me Books Promotions!
I Never Let You Go is the third book in the I Never series and tells the story of Lauren and Finn. Although this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
I’m so happy that I finally got to read Lauren and Finn’s story. I’ve been thinking about them ever since I read about them in the previous book, and I’m just so glad that I finally read their story. The entire I Never series is such a good series and I love all the characters and I just couldn’t not love Lauren and Finn.
I’m such a sucker for second chance romances, so it was no surprise that I had to know how Lauren and Finn’s story was going to end. I loved reading some more about the twins, Lauren and Kate. They’re just so amazing and funny. I also loved Finn because he kept on fighting for Lauren and they’re just perfect for each other!
I Never Let You Go was another amazing book by Stefanie Jenkins and I loved a certain scene at the end of the book… INLYG was such a well written and fast paced sequel, I highly recommend this book (and this series)! Stefanie Jenkins did it again and I’m so excited to read the next book in the series, Kate’s story!
This author has an amazing talent at writing and this book series is absolutely fantastic. This book is an awesome and is beautiful, with your emotional loving story that completely flows. It is a beautiful second chance at love and that keeps you holding your breath until the end. I highly recommend that everyone reads this series. This is the next book in the I Never Series Book #1 I Never Planned on You Book #2 I Never Expected You Book #2.5 I Plan On Forever Book #3 I Never Let You Go.
The journey that these two characters go on is so real, it is so raw that you cant help but feel it inside your heart. When they were teens they loved each other so much so deeply and then something happens that changes there lives forever. Lauren wanted to protect herself and was so scared of being hurt so much that she built up a wall completely around her heart and herself. It was fear I think. She doesn't believe in happily ever afters at all but some how he has a way with her. Lauren loves Finn so much that it hurts and he loves her but things are never as easy as that in life and this love story proves it.
Finn is such a nice genuine guy that is so sweet, loyal and real and he has real feelings for Lauren that were so strong and he new what he wanted and he was willing to wait for her to see. He'd do anything to show her to let her know that he was different and that he loves her. He was so patient where she was concerned and he is a determined man.
They didn't have great communication and that is what caused them to miss out on so much with each other and I couldn't help but really feel for them both deep inside my heart and it was breaking inside that I was screaming at my kindle at times for different things I was feeling. This author really knows how to write and make the reader feel every word. She really knows how to pull you into her books and keep you hooked until the very last page and that's what I was like with this book I just couldn't put it down once id started reading it I couldn't stop. This book was a beautiful and a captivating read and it really has your emotions all up in the air, the tears the laughs and the feels. The characters in this book were so real and you totally wish that you knew them in your own life. This author really has a away with words and I cant wait to see what she writes in the future. Thank you to the author for allowing me to read an early copy of this book. ARC provided in exchange for an complimentary honest voluntary review. This author writes in away that has the reader feeling everything that the characters are feeling and I was really rooting for them to get themselves together because love is love. This book is a very powerful read and I think that this author did a fantastic job with this book. This book is expected to be released 29th June 2020.
4.5 stars!! Finally...the story of Finn and Lauren!! I was waiting for the story of at least one of Kyler’s twin sisters since the first book in the I Never series. Then we got just a tidbit of background info on Finn and Lauren in I Plan on Forever when Kyler and Dani got married. When I say a tidbit I mean a minuscule, itty bitty, extremely small, really little bit of background info, enough to feed our curiosity and have us tapping our fingers. Stefanie Jenkins you are an evil woman! But I forgive you! Because I Never Let You Go was well worth the wait! I loved learning more about the Lawson family! The relationship between Lauren, Kate, and Kyler is great and I love their interactions. Then we have Finn and his sister Kelsey. But enough about the siblings. You want to know all about Finn and Lauren. Well then read the book! What are you waiting for!? You won’t be sorry!
I’m loving this series! This read is more predictable than the last in the series but it’s still a lovely read and I loved the cameo from Stefanie Jenkins and her upcoming book, very clever! In my opinion Lauren and Finn’s story needs to be read as book 4 after Kyler and Dani’s novella.
This read is about Lauren, one of Kyler’s twin sisters and a family friend Finn. It’s told in dual points of view with a mix of past and present. These two are made for each other but a silly misunderstanding on Lauren’s part has her walking away from their relationship ten years earlier. Fast forward ten years and old feelings are still there with Finn determined to get Lauren back. We get to catch up with all the gang we’ve grown to know and love and this ends with a glimpse into what might be ahead for Kate, Lauren’s twin sister.
Stefanie Jenkins is lucky I love her words because she is FOREVER ripping your emotions. But boy did I still love this book. Finn of man there are no words to describe how much I love him.
I recommend wine and tissues while reading almost as much as I recommend this book! Love!
Where do I even start? I love second chance romances. I love the emotions that are pulled out and included in the story. I love Stefanie Jenkins' words. She makes me feel everything. Add the two together, and you get this amazing book that is I Never Let You Go! Stefanie Jenkins is the kind of author that gets better and better with every book she writes. It's almost unfair how amazing she is.
I fell in love with Lauren in I Never Planned on You. She's one half of Kyler's older twin sisters, left me laughing so hard at every turn. We get a glimpse at Lauren's pain in I Plan on Forever. It's that moment that I really knew I NEEDED Lauren's story and it was going to make me cry. Well, that and it's Stefanie Jenkins so tears are a given.
Finn and Lauren's story is my favorite in the I Never series. The heartache and the hurt in INLYG is completely different than INPOY or INEY. While both I Never Planned on You and I Never Expected You were also about finding love and healing from a tragedy, I Never Let You Go is about a completely different kind of healing. Lauren and Finn are learning to love each other again. They are learning the people they are now. They are learning to love and trust each other and let go of the pain from their past.
I Never Let You Go is full of the raw, gritty emotion I love so much from Jenkins. It's heartbreaking and beautiful. Jenkins' delivered another phenomenal read. Finn and Lauren's story is a well-written, and addicting. I may or may not have already read it more than once. She brings back all of our favorites from the series and gives us some new faces that were a perfect fit. Jenkins has left me needing Kate's story more than I need to air right now.
I Never Let You go is a 5 star must read! Stefanie Jenkins delivered a beautiful, emotional story that left me feeling everything! I wish I could explain all the reason I love this book but I also don't want to give anything away. I promise if you read this book you will not be disappointed!
This is the third book of hers I have read in and when I found out that she was continuing the series I had to have this book too. You are introduced to Lauren in I never planned on you as Kyler’s sister but don’t know about Finn until you read I plan on forever. They were best friends as kids that fell in love so deep that when they go their own way, it cut them both so deep that you feel it in your bones. 10 years pass and they are both at Lauren’s brothers wedding, the connection between the two is still there and it oozes off the pages as you read. When Finn finally gives in and fights for the girl he has always loved he will not stop until she is his again. What starts off as friendship quickly builds into something more. Truths are told, Lauren’s walls start to fall and you see how the love they once had, comes back to surface. I love Kate Lauren’s twin sister she’s so sassy and funny. I loved reading more about other characters from previous books. It made me so happy to find out what had happened to them since the last book. I highly recommend this book but suggest you read the three books before this to get one to have a better understanding. I couldn’t put this book down, I just wanted to know about these two people that obviously loved each other but had issues communicating what issues they had. I cried, I laughed and I was left smiling.
I was given this as an arc to give an honest opinion, and I highly recommend it.
This story was everything. Epicness beyond epicness.
I devoured this story, it captivated me in so many ways and had my emotions at a all time high.
It was raw, and every emotion was real.
I didn't want it to end every chapter had me so strung up I permentely had smile on my face.
Swoony doesn't even cover Finn Reynolds. He was just GAH! I mean the man was all kinds of hot and I swear he had me blushing more times than none. The way his love for Lauren came over the pages just melted my heart, They had chemistry, passion and so much love.
This was a fairytale romance with an epic ending that made your heart explode by the end. I serisouly couldn't get enough of Finn and Lauren.
Lauren was witty, strong and the banter between her and Finn at the start had me giggling. I loved that no matter what she always loved him and even though she wanted to give into him right away she held her ground at the start.
Finn was charming, cheeky and oh so delicious.
Stefanie delivered another heartfelt masterpiece that made me instantly love her characters and their romance.
Even though she didn't make me ugly cry in this one I still had tears of happiness for Finn and Lauren.
Every love story deserves a happy ending and Finn and Lauren were that one of a kind forever love that made you sigh and have hearts in your eyes.
I can't wait for Kate and Jax's story this one is going to be a rollarcoaster of the most epicness romance ever.
This book has been much anticipated and it did not disappoint. While it definitely starts off as a slow burn it ends with Finn and Lauren definitely making up for those lost years.
I have to say I got so frustrated with Lauren. She self sabotaged her relationship with Finn over and over again and I just wanted to shake her. We usually are our own worst enemies.
Finn, not going to let him off the hook either. Just letting the love of your life go without a fight, yeah no, wanted to shake him too.
That being said their reconnection story was just too good so I guess all that frustration was more than worth it in the end.
I love all of the books in this series because they all feature couples with that one of a kind love that everyone hopes to find. I love all these couples so much (don’t worry Zach you and Haylee are still my favorites), that being said the little teaser we had from Kate and Jax has got me interested. I love a good enemies to lovers!

4.5 stars!!! Finally...the story of Finn and Lauren!! I was waiting for the story of at least one of Kyler’s twin sisters since the first book in the I Never series. Lauren loved Finn with all of her heart, and he felt the same. A misunderstanding separated them for a decade, and by the time Finn comes back into her life, she's super closed off because she won't let her heart get broken again. Luckily, Finn isn't one to let that deter him because he never got over his one & only love, and Lauren didn't ever get over him either. So, the emotional journey of this particular story was a push & pull, emotional piece of goodness about two realistically flawed people that fate is trying to get back together. There's no doubt that their strong chemistry stayed intact through the years, but Lauren won't be an easy sell because she's gun shy as those walls around her heart are strong. Can Finn get her to see that they belong together forever?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is Finn and Lauren 's second chance love story. Finn and Lauren are a young couple but know what they want and that is a life with each other. Through a series of events and lack of communication the couple go their separate ways. Ten years pass. Lauren and Finn meet up again and he finds that she is a very different person. Lauren has built walls and hardened her heart. She doesn't let anyone get too close. Finn wants a second chance with her but realizes he has his work cut out for him. Can these two learn to love each other as the people they have grown in to? The author gives us real authentic characters. We get to visit with the whole gang and meet new friends as well. I enjoyed this story and loved the sneek peek we get in to Kate's story. Thank you Stefanie Jenkins for a fantastic read.
Lauren and finn are wonderful character's, their love never faded over 10 years even though they were not in each others life's and that is something special. Soulmates from a young age, seperated over a misunderstanding, perfect outcome.
This has the main character's from the previous books and a couple of new one's, which makes an amazing group of people. Im sure there will be so much more from these amazing group of character's.
Each book in this series brings something different everytime but equally beautiful and soulful.
Laurens twin sister Kate is a force to be reckoned with and i am so excited for her story. It might be a long wait but it will deffinently be worth it. So much more to come from this series.
This story is a great second chance romance. It may seem like a telenovela, but the author played her cards good. You'll get it all with this on heartbreaking, tears, sexual tension, bit you'll never stop to cheat for those two. You will be team #Finlo all the time. Overall that's a nice story, with some misunderstood, some mistake, but also real feeling. Where love has the power to cut deep but also make it right in the end. All that slow burning can drive you crazy sometimes, but in the end you'll enjoy their happy ever after.
The second characters are also nice ones, and I'm pretty intrigued by a certain couple out there. *ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*
This is the 3rd book in this phenomenal series and is Lauren and Finn’s story. Lauren and Finn had a complicated past and due to a misunderstanding, they parted way and missed out on so much of life, until they reconnect at Dani and Kyler’s wedding. Lauren having been left heartbroken has built walls around her heart, and Finn is now back and is determined to get his girl back. This talented author has the unique ability to draw the reader into her stories in such a way that every emotion possible is experienced while reading. This is a wonderful story which has engaging characters and an in-depth plot, which all had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more of her work, and I highly recommend for all readers.
This series hits me in the gut with every book. They are raw, emotional, heartbreaking and loving.
Lauren and Finn are no different. I wanted to shake both of them so hard at times. Finn in the past for walking away like he did at the airport. Lauren for not confronting him when she chased after him and just walked away. My heart tore open for them and I wanted to smack their heads together so they would just talk it out.
Once they gave in and realized this is it for them. This is their chance to get back the love they both wanted so deeply I was their biggest cheerleader. I wanted to see them make it so badly my stomach hurt.
This whole series is amazing and breathtaking. You will fall in love with them all!
This story is one of the ones you want to devour, yet, you also don't want it to end.
Lauren and Finn's story isn't pretty. It's also not as horrible as I had prepared myself for (because we all know Stefanie is an emotional terrorist).
Griffin has stolen the title of "current book boyfriend" and he totally deserves it. His relentless love for Lo and the way he shows it is simply breathtaking. He takes swoon to a whole new level. *Sigh* he gets all the warm and fuzzy heart eyes right now.
I could rave about this book for days but I will stop there because I don't want to ruin all the surprises that await you in this slow burn masterpiece. Hot damn *fans herself* I need to get myself a Finn!
I must warn you that within a few pages you’ll be fully immersed in Finn and Lauren’s second chance at romance.
From beginning to end I was captivated by the love between Finn & Lauren, their journey to finding each other again after so many years and how true love can be a beautiful thing to hold on to.
Like always with all of Stefanie Jenkin’s books I was prepared with my box of tissues because all of her stories in the “I Never” series had giving me all the feels and had left me swooning after all the amazing characters always wanting more.
I don’t want to give too much of the story . So I’ll just say: read it, love it and your welcome 😉!!!
Oh my heart!! Stefanie Jenkins never disappoints and this story was no exception! Book after book is just pure amazingness. This book is exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading funk! It had just enough angst, romance and steaminess to keep me in a happy little bubble from the first page all the way to the very last. I have absolutely loved every one of the books in this series and this one continued that momentum. I never want to say goodbye to this amazing set of characters, I just may cry when when that time comes.
This author, this book, this series!!!! A complete and much needed escape from this world as we know it now. I love the sassiness and the twin thing between Kate and Lauren. Finn, leaves you breathless. He’s the ultimate book boyfriend. Each book in the I Never series leaves you impatient for the next. Stefanie Jenkins is without doubt one of those authors that draws you into her creative world of words. Who forces you on that emotional roller coaster that she has built. That undoubtedly becomes an author who is an automatic one click and must get.
If you know me you know I am a SUCKER for second chance romance. This book did not disappoint. Lauren and Finn were just meant to be together. It's sweet, it's emotional, and sexy. If you love second chances you will love this one. Stef takes you on an emotional ride from beginning to end.
Now I'll just be over here waiting for my man Jax. lol
Stefanie has done it again with another rollercoaster ride of emotions in this book. Finn an Lo's story will have you laughing one minute and screaming the next. Of course she had me crying. I swear she does it on purpose. I highly recommend this book and series. You will not be disappointed
Lauren and Finn’s story was so good. I love how the author continues the story lines from other books in this series. Looking forward to the next book in this series...
