Not real mafia but definitely heartwarming. A kid that's not a plot moppet and serves a real purpose in the story, getting the hero to realize he can't leave again. I liked it.

2.00 Stars. (BW/WM). Kindle Unlimited e-book. Didn’t like this convoluted nonsensical unromantic story. After killing his mother’s murder, 16-year-old Alessandro Mancini leaves his hometown, sister and girlfriend who unbeknownst to him is pregnant. Ten years later, after finding out that his sister is marrying the son of the billionaire who he killed for killing their mother, Alessandro returns home to stop the wedding...he learns 3 mind blogging things: 1. He and Shawna still desire each other and are parents to a 9-year-old girl and that there’s a hit out on his sister’s husband. Shawna and Alessandro have tons of sex and he guilt trips and she asks him to kill the person who put the hit out on his sister’s husband and at the same time condemns him for being a hitman. In the end, Alessandro eliminates the threat, marries Shawna and gets to know his daughter.

Another great book from Ms. Wilson.

Another great book from Ms. Wilson. It was a slow starter, I almost returned it, but my attention was grabbed eventually. A good storyline and an interesting g lead male character who wE not shy in analysing his feelings. But what I really like about this author's stories, is that she stays away from racial stereotypes. In all other BWWM books I have read, there is Shannon g emphasis on descriptions of the. Lack Ltd.ale body like we are exotic animals. Ms. Wilson like other adult!t romance writer s, focuses on characters. The final that I enjoy is , there are no spelling or grammatical errors. These can really distract the reader and destroy the flow and enjoyment. So thank you Ms Wilson for providing a few hours of simple enjoyment during this pandemic .

Fun read

The redemption story was a good one and the twist of using his skills to save their lives made it more realistic I guess. I wish we had more scenes between Alessandro, his sister and Liam. It would have been good to read about their takeaway once everything got settled. The epilogue felt rushed. Legally he is dead so how did that get resolved, him being introduced to his daughter, to her parents etc.. I’m also disappointed that he’s working in the diner. I know the author was going for a genteel, family feel but to me it felt like a wasted opportunity. After 10 years, I’m sure he’s got money so why not open a business, utilizing the skills he learned over the years. Make his past a positive, teach self defense or open a security firm or something.

Ten years ago Alessandro was thought to have died in a fire instead he killed the man who murdered his mother and set the fire to hide the murder. He never regreted what he had done but he regreted leaving his sister and the woman he loved. A chance newspaper report concerning his sister's coming wedding to the son of the man he killed had him coming back to the scene of the crime. Too late to stop the wedding but not too late to see his love and the daughter her never knew he had. This was a story of old pain and suffering, a chance to start again, a new life free from the past.

Alessandra Marcini is a contract killer and has faked his death for the past decade, however, after learning he has a daughter he returns to Shawna who was in love with him when he staged his death. His return is difficult as is his truthful explanation of who he is and why he left the woman he loved. This dark and twisted romance has a unique and interesting plot, drama, betrayal, strong emotions, family ties, and sizzling chemistry. I recommend this addictive read.

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength. The short story of eroticism of sensation. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

WOW! Once I started reading I couldn’t put this story down. While I’m not a fan of his career choice, everyone needs a protector like Alessandro. In the end Rachele, Emma, Shawna and Liam deserve to live happily ever after.

There was something missing in this book, but I can't put my finger on it. It also left some unanswered questions. Like what happened to his friend that he saved? Did the but a bigger house? And why did he have to change??

A fairly quick read by an author that is new to me. The plot is dark at times, but I didn’t think it was overly dark. It’s well written and flows at a steady pace. The characters have some depth to them.
