All it takes to face your fears is a little bit of Princess Power!
When a young girl wakes up for her first day at a new school, she doesn't know what's in store. But when she asks herself, "What would a princess do?" she's inspired to make friends like Cinderella, learn new skills like Moana, and think outside the box like Ariel.
By bringing her courage, kindness, and creativity to class, she'll find the strength within to rule the first day of school-just like a princess!
Weaving together a day in the life of a contemporary girl with bold life lessons from the Disney Princesses, this vibrant picture book will inspire young readers to discover their inner Princess Power.
I was very ready near the end to shout "Where is Aurora?!?" I guess she saved the best for last. But seriously, all you highlighted about her was sleep when the best thing about her is that she's the best Disney princess singer because she was voiced by AN ACTUAL OPERA SINGER! Oh well, I shouldn't expect much from a Disney book. I did enjoy the artistic take, though.
Absolutely adored this book! We read this tonight and all 3 of my girls and I are already BIG Disney Princess fans. The illustrations and the story made it such an enjoyable bedtime read!! We didn’t read it for the first day of school (had no idea that was the storyline) but the advice in the book given by our favorite Disney girls can relate to every day life for our littles. My girls loved this book so much they all 3 asked to read it again tomorrow night! Who am I to refuse a request from princesses themselves? ❤️
A young girl wakes up for her first day of school and thinks about what her favorite princesses would do to help get her through the challenges the day brings. She puts on her armor--her favorite jeans--to feel brave like Mulan. She uses her imagination to tell a good story like Belle, and calls on Cinderella to make friends with her classmates (and her new class pet).
Lots of cute images of confidence here, perfect for a child who is already a fan of Disney princesses and who is nervous about starting school.
A little girl uses her love of Disney princesses to inspire her to bravery on her first day of school. Basically just an advertisement for Disney properties, but the illustrations are cute and creative, and the kid finds admirable qualities in the characters to emulate.
Unfortunately, one illustration shows the girl holding her class pet lizard by the tail, which is inadvisable and stressful to the animal.
Cute story. Princess fanatics will go gaga. But unfortunately, instead of actually eliminating sexism in their movies altogether, Disney is trying to rebrand them. Scantilly clad, Europeanized cultures (white faces painted brown) masquerading as feminism isn't going to cut it.
The most I hope for out of this book is little girls ask for more books.
