Jason Manns loves love. Too bad it doesn't love him back. He retired from professional football and came out at the same time, excited to finally search for someone special to share his life — and his kinky secret — with. But what he ends up with is a string of increasingly bad hookups that leaves him unfulfilled and alone.
Tony Taylor doesn't believe in love. Even if it were real, it never lasts. He knows because everyone in his life has suffered from heartbreak, and his only attempt at a relationship ended in disaster. Instead, he focuses on being a good Dom, and one-off encounters suit him just fine… at least, until Jason lands directly in his path.
Jason is everything Tony doesn't want — a bratty submissive looking for more than one night together. But the electricity between them is too intense to deny, and they start a secret fling that slowly evolves into more. When Tony faces the risk of losing him forever, can he admit his feelings to Jason… and himself? Or will he allow the walls around his heart to ruin his chance at happiness?
Tony & His Tiger is a sweetly kinky and steamy 92,000 word friends-to-lovers MM romance featuring a big, bratty submissive, his small, grumpy Dom, and a whole lot of puppy play. It is the third book in the Oh My! series and can be read as a standalone.
Andi James has been in love with books and words her entire life. She writes about people finding things — themselves, happiness, love — and edits all kinds of stories. Her two dogs and three cats are her favorite co-workers. She adores coffee, the night sky, and horror movies.
It was a joy reading Tony and Jason endearing, super sweet and captivating journey to HEA. They're the classic opposite attract couple , their weakness , strength and BDSM kinks compliment one another.
Tiger
It was also a great treat "seeing" and getting updates on the lives of Teddy and Barrett from Teddy and His Bear Book 1 and Leo and Dylan from Leo and His Lion Book 2 ; as they are integral part of this tale. I was specially delighted in having so much participation from Dylan . he was even funnier and cuter than before , he is my favorite character from the entire series.
Tiger's taco squeaker toy
If you believe in fairy tales , like I do . After all, that's one of the reasons , I read Romance books ; where the good guys always win , get to travel to wonderful and exotic locations, true love is real and everyone have a HEA .
You'll believe me , when I say Tony and his Tiger's story will brighten and sexy up your day.
Received a copy of Tony and His Tiger through LesCourt and this is my unbiased opinion.
The romantic mishmash between Jason & Tony. This was a somewhat sweet, a bit cute but not quite romantic enough story. I didn’t feel the romantic connection between the MCs. Tony was not my favorite person. However, the story did grow on me towards the end. I also, thought the subs all seemed a bit child-like. Curious!? Overall, an okay read.
I have been waiting for what seems like forever for this book..I loved the first 2..Unfortunately, I did not love this one...I really wanted to..I did not like Tony at all, however Jason was awesome and deserved so much more than he was given..there was just not enough on page time together with Jason and Tony for me to feel what they were supposedly feeling..Tony was a dick....I also didn't like how Dylan nor Barrett were portrayed in this book..It felt like parts of a story were pieced together to get to an end...it just didn't work for me....
I love the world that Andi James has created in these books. I love how connected all the friends are, and how much they want to take care of everyone in their friend group. It's also good to see the same thing from various POVs.
I really hope that there is more to come in this world, because I so want to see more of these guys.
Wow, I absolutely love Tony and His Tiger. This Andi James and Lila Wilde book, the third in their Oh My! series, is easily read as a standalone.
It's the perfect combination of a BDSM club read, with some kink and a bratty sub. And dear god, Jason has a secret desire, and it is hot!
Tony recognizes immediately that Jason places his trust in the wrong people often. When he reaches out to help the man out of a bad situation, the results are more than either could have ever expected.
The way the two men come together is great, as they naturally gravitate towards each other after a great moment of interference. Jason needs to relax and escape his problems, while Tony's never been a relationship guy.
Damn, I love Jason and his complexity. A former NFL player, he still has endorsement deals which could be ruined if his desires are outed. It's dangerous enough that he likes kink, and that he's a sub, but if they found out his favorite kink, he'd lose everything. There are also times he's just such a child in his thoughts that I adore him even more.
I don't want to spoil anything, but omg, just read this book! Now!
Tony and His Tiger is an amazing story of trust, secrets, and desires. It's a tender tale of finding someone who accepts the real you and wants to support you. I love this book. Love it.
I absolutely loved Tony and Jason’s book! I fell hard for this series from the first book, Teddy and His Bear, and I’ve been hooked since! I loved Jason’s big, giant squishy heart and how much he always saw the best in everyone. He was such a sweetheart, you couldn’t help but want to give him all the hugs and hope he found his HEA. Tony was a fiercely loyal friend, and a Dom who put taking care of people his highest priority. I loved that he would go outside his comfort zone for Jason’s needs. Their chemistry together was amazing, and the sexy times were off the charts hot!! Their story made me laugh, smile, and fan myself (sometimes all at the same time)! I loved getting to catch up with characters from prior books too! I couldn’t recommend this book or series more!
I loved this book from the moment I beta read it all the way through the finished product. Each book in this series is unique and charming and Lila and Andi write such beautiful, funny, strong, adorable men that you can't help, but fall in love and claim them. I mean I claimed Dylan a long time ago, but now I am madly in adoration of Jason so maybe I need two! I love that each book gives us a unique story and a new kink, but yet it is all one big family. I adored this book and though I had dreams of seeing Jason in lace, his puppy gear is even better!
Both Tony and Jason are fabulous characters, and they both deserve to be happy with someone, even if neither of them think that could happen at the start of the story. Jason is so giving and forgiving, despite being burned repeatedly by people using his name and talents for their own goals. Tony is determined to succeed no matter what crap gets in his way, including his smarmy boss and other people's perceptions of him. All of these couples are wonderful, and I hope we'll see more of their friendship in other stories.
This was an amazing story that I just didn't want to end. I loved the characters; even the supporting characters were likeable and made me want to get to know their story. I loved Tony and Jason's chemistry, and I found the actual romance part to be sweet and endearing with the D/s parts being not totally being about kinky sex.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Squeee! So good! Tony and Jason are superb together. I've been waiting for this story since that awkward morning after the Halloween party in Teddy and his Bear! I really loved the inside look we get of Jason in this book. He is an absolute sweetheart even if he is the world's biggest brat. I'm also super happy for Tony because he was such a huge supporter of Teddy in book one that he just needed his own happy ending. If you like bratty subs, smallish dons and puppies then I highly recommend this book! ❤️ Read it! You know you want to!
First of all.. that cover, it's amazing!! Jason is a former NFL player, and training to be a personal trainer. He and Tony are introduced through mutual friends. Their interactions were fun and sassy. It was great to see more of the other guys from the series but still works great as a stand alone. I enjoyed the way their relationship evolved. A sweet story of love, trust and hopere about a sassy sub and the Dom who's definitely not interested in a relationship.
I love this series and although no one can beat Dylan (maybe my favorite character ever), Jason was very sweet and a fun brat. I love the fact that he was a big and bulky sub and Tony was a small Dom.
Tony and Jason are both wary of trusting love and decide to make a special arrangement..a kind of friends with benefits, Dom/brat. Jason breaks your heart, all he wants is love and acceptance but has not been able to find it. I just wanted to hug him and smack Tony so he realized what he had with Jason. I couldn't put it down..it is sweet, sexy, funny, and kinky. Love this story as much as the previous two. It can be read as a stand alone but there's much more enjoyment to be found if you read the other ones first.
I waited so long for this book that I started reading it as soon as it was out. Them keeping their relationship a secret was killing me and I kept waiting for the fall out or heartbreak. It never happened their was a point I was nervous but so happy they got their happy ending. I'm so hoping Cole gets his own book in this series maybe even Joel though he was a jerk Dom.
Good book! Decent plot and a lot of fun characters. Not mind blowing, but pleasant enough. Major Sub/Dom themes including puppy play. I had a vague idea what that was but this book totally schooled me. I still don't know what a 'fucking machine' is but there probably should be some things I remain innocent to. If I had a complaint it would be that I didn't get a feel for the head space of dom, sub, or puppy. I was kind of expecting Jason or Tony to enter the playroom and switch persona but they never did. Killed the fantasy for me a little. I read this as a standalone mostly because I was gifted an audio copy. 😋 But I think I might read Leo's book to learn what the heck kitten play is. Eventually.
As a big fan of reading about BDSM relationships, one of my favorite things is to learn more about other kinks to help remove some of my own bias and stigma. This book is a perfect example of that. We have a few things here that I've not read before: a younger dom and older sub and puppy play. While puppy play is not a kink that I'm interested in or particularly understand, I was pleased to find that it wasn't something that distracted or took me out of the story.
This is the final book in a three book series about three different couples learning to navigate the BDSM world and their relationships. I was apprehensive when I began reading this story for a few reasons - mainly due to my dislike for the previous book and my general opinions of Jason and Tony as characters.
Initially I found Jason to be rather annoying and too much of a gossip in the first book. We do get to see more of his sweeter side in the second book with his relationship and defense of Dylan but throughout those stories and even this one we’re told that he’s a brat. Honestly, I don't see it. Sure he has trouble submitting “traditionally” but he does it. I'm not sure if the author's point was to articulate that he wasn't a brat but more of a…misguided sub or not but I really dont see this bratty behavior that everyone is always commenting on. What I saw was a man who was lonely and in desperate need of a partner to share his life with. He felt adrift because he wasn't able to share himself without fear of being taken advantage of due to being a famous ex-football player. By the end of the story I found myself cheering Jason on at every turn and I am so happy he got his happily ever after.
Tony on the other hand…. I'm conflicted. I understand his hesitation with relationships to an extent. He sees his mother getting let down again and again growing up then he’s “forced” into a long term relationship with someone he doesn't really connect with and it ends up leaving scars. I still think he ends up failing Jason in more ways than one. First of all - actions speak louder than words and more often than not i had to read the phrase “but i'm a dom” more often than i witnessed Tony acting as such. Now that's not to say he didn't adapt and make changes to how he and Jason see because he did. He admitted that being a handler wasn't really his thing but he wanted to give Jason the chance to experience something he’s never had and it ended up working out for him. He’s perceptive to Jason's needs and works hard at having clear communication. At the same time he was aware of Jason's tendency to catastrophize and there were certain situations that I feel like he could have handled better.
I found the whole “pretend to hate each other” game was odd and honestly it seemed to clue their friends into something being off with them rather than give them the cover they thought they needed. If they would have just worked at seeming friendly, none would have been the wiser.
So, I'm completely in love with Jason. He broke my heart and I just wanted to hug him. I love all of these stories, but I was so looking forward to Jason because he annoyed me in the other books, he's outspoken and bratty and so in-your-face, but I should've known it was kind of a ficade to keep himself from being to vernerable. As a former professional football player, being gay was hard enough, but finding someone who didn't use him for his status or his money or just to say they slept with him, was impossible. He had to keep himself guarded because he was so used to trusting and getting his heart broken.
With Tony, who's best friends with Teddy, didn't want to give Jason the time of day. He was a bratty sub who liked to push and Tony didn't want any part of it. Except he did, at least want a little piece of Jason, but getting that... he realized how sweet and giving and big-hearted the oversized puppy-like man was.
Deciding to act on their attraction to one another was okay for now, Tony wanted to keep it from their friends since Jason wasn't his type at all and Tony didn't do relationships. Side note, I hate when people say that, it always guarantees they'll be in a relationship in no time lol BUT, it hurt me for Jason that he wanted to keep it a secret from their friends.... Jason just wanted Tony, so he accepted it, though it would get hard to hide it, especially when getting together with said friends and having to act like they despised each other.
All the while, Tony is getting to know the real Jason, and all the parts of him that he's had to keep hidden because of his celebrity and all the people looking to exploit his generosity and public image. I loved Tony though, he was so good for Jason, helping him open up and be himself... I loved Jason for Tony, because he taught him to trust again and open himself up to someone as well. I just loved all of it. If you enjoyed the other two in this series, you'll love this one too, only it felt more bittersweet to me because I felt like Jason deserved so much and I loved watching Tony give it to him. I gotta stop gushing or I'll give the whole thing away, but I loved it and will definitely revisit this series again!
I loved this book so much! I'd been excited for Jason and Tonys story since the first book, so loved how this book filled in a lot of details and we get to explore their relationship development. It was different to what I first expected and yet its perfect, so fitting to these two and I adore the puppy moments so much.
Jason became a favourite of mine during the second book and I still adore his friendship with Dylan which get to see here, he is super sweet and so supportive. It was great to learn more about his past and feelings, because I hadn't really considered before the publicity side of things and that was awful. I really felt for him and loved getting to see him open up, learning to trust and be himself with Tony which was adorable.
Tony is awesome and i enjoyed learning more about him, his struggle with relationships made sense and I liked how he took it into his own hands. Didn't allow anyone to push them into it and he was so fitting for Jason, I think he needs a bit of a challenge which Jason provides and helps him have fun.
I really loved these two together, they were so wonderful and while both have their own struggles to get past. It was sweet to see them develop and explore their relationship as they figure out what they want, I adored them so much.
There's plenty of steam and bdsm exploration as usual which is some of my favourite parts to this series. From puppy play, spanking and dom/sub I just enjoyed it a lot. Seeing how it varies between each couple and how they find what works for them, Tiger is a great puppy and I wish there had been more of those scenes. It was great to see Jason finally feeling comfortable and able to show that side of himself with his friends too.
Overall my favourite of the three and has a lovely happy ending, fitting to not just these two but also all of the guys as a wonderful end overall. I adored this series and will be looking at more by these authors.
I love books with this BDSM theme, especially Daddy/Boy, I don't like the heavier types within this theme. And this series was a surprise, because I was hopeless of finding a book to read in this style, since I've already read a large part of them, within the style of writing that I like.
So here goes. This book could have been second in order of release, because it was more about having Tony and Jason, who appeared more in the first book and were best friends with the main ones, as a second story, but I thought it was a good ending.
Despite the theme, this is not a book full of sex scenes. There are yes, a lot of innuendos, thoughts, desire, but not so much worm in the earth hole, which didn't bother me, even though I like that in books, but it was erotic and sexy, just right for what I believe the author wanted to pass.
Tony and Jason, had trust issues, insecurity and fear of relationship. I loved the two of them together, the care, the way their relationship and feelings evolved. It was nice to read. Here we have a relationship that was started in the first book, Tony, having an aversion to relationships, due to a bad experience and his mother's various love failures, wants nothing more than a few calls and scenes, until he meets Jason, who has his own bad baggage, with several failed relationships, due to being a famous retired player, most people only approach him to try to take advantage.
It's not a long story, I'd consider it average with twenty-four chapters plus an epilogue. The characters relate for most of the book, but as always the real relationship starts in the last 90% of the book, which I hate, but that's what happens in 99.99% of novels.
This story was grrrrreat! (Couldn't resist the Tony the Tiger pun.) But seriously, it was slow burn, frenemies to lovers, relationship phobia, mild BDSM and some puppy play, and featured visits with the other couples from the early stories in the series: Teddy and His Bear and Leo and His Lion, who were seamlessly made a part of this plot.
Tony, a Dom, is shorter than Jason, a former pro football player, and he's also not interested in more than a one-night stand and definitely no relationship. That works for Jason, who feels like every relationship he's ever had was doomed anyway so why keep trying?
Together, over time, without a conscious decision, the two become more than lovers--they become friends and eventually, again without conscious thought, they fall in love.
The story evolves organically without gratuitous sex scenes (something I appreciate) but with their times together smoking hot. And they are good for each other as well. All in all, I was hoping they wouldn't have a huge split due to Misunderstanding, and the good news is the author surprised me and then gave the guys a beautiful HEA. Yay. I recommend the whole series which starts with Daddy/boy and then kitten play and finally puppy play dynamics.
This is my favorite of the series mostly because of the anticipation. From the first two books we basically get this outside view into Tony and Jason and it's depicted as this like enemies to lovers. All you know from the previous two books is that Tony and Jason seemingly hate each other. We find out in this book that that's not quite true despite having an enemies to lovers beginning.
Tony is a shorter man and he is fairly thin which leads people to believe he is a submissive when in fact he is a Dom. Jason is am ex pro football player and has the opposite stereotypes surrounding him. He is in fact a sub, albeit a bratty one 😂
Tony has some hang ups about being in a relationship that aren't really delve into and are kind of confusing as to why he feels that way, but anyway he and Jason start hooking up in secret and what turns into a fuck buddy relationship morphs into a friends with benefits morphs into a actual relationship.
I really enjoyed the puppy play element of this and the king was super great. Like I said this is my favorite of the series and I do technically think you could read this as a stand alone but it probably be better if you read the other two first. Probably not essential but might enhance the reading experience a little bit.
Oh I should also mention that Jason has a injury from football that has left him experiencing chronic pain and that is a fairly decent part of this book.
This is a fun and entertaining addition to the Oh My! series and I really enjoyed it. Tony and His Tiger is well written, sweet, sexy, hilarious, the characters are great and I love the storyline. Jason is amazing and I love how caring and giving he is. Tony is not my favorite character in this series and it took me a long time to warm up to him. He is definitely not my first choice of a perfect Dom for Jason but as the story progresses I like how accepting and patient he is with him. They are not a perfect couple but they are exactly what the other needs. The obstacles they face are caused by them as neither of them knows how to be in a solid mature relationship but once they decide to move forward they are both all in. I love all of the secondary characters and Teddy and Dylan are super sweet as well as hilarious. My favorite part of the whole book is when Dylan decides he needs to be a better sub and chooses Jason to help him as I could not stop laughing at Dylan's attempts to be serious instead of his usual zany self. The only part I really didn't like is the secrecy about their relationship that Tony insisted on as it put Jason in a very uncomfortable position with his friends and family. The ending is perfect and I can't wait to read the next book in this wonderful series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
3.75 stars rounded up. I really wish there were more books in this series! Each character has so much depth and each story is so well-developed. The authors really created a captivating world that drew me in and held my attention in this series; I will definitely be reading them again!
For the characters, Jason was a sweetheart and so endearing, especially as his interest in puppy play is slowly revealed. Tony was an intriguing man, but I'm really glad that he basically got shocked into seeing how much Jason meant to him. I wasn't sure how good Tony actually was for Jason up until this point, given how cold and aloof Tony usually is, but everything played out perfectly. I also liked the size difference between the two MCs, which surprised me, since I usually prefer it when the Dom is bigger than the sub. But this difference really worked for them and wasn't overplayed.
Sidenote: It did bother me a bit, though, how important Teddy was to Tony. At times, Teddy seemed to surpass Jason in importance, which isn't that great for a romance story. I loved Teddy in his book, but in this one, I kind of didn't like how high he was held in Tony's affections, even as a close friend. I don't know if that makes sense, but to me, couples take precedence over any friendships in a romance; I tend to get jealous and petty on the MC's behalf, I guess.
* I was gifted an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review *
This book is FABULOUS! it's just W-O-W!
It is a wonderful love story with amazing, totally lovable MCs and some super hot sex. It is my favorite type of BDSM story with Dom and sub looking and behaving far from the stereotypes. It was a great pleasure to watch them getting close, becoming friends and then something more. They are completely different and it is obvious that normally they would never give each other a "second glance".
This is a funny, fast paced book with amazing characters - all of them, not only Tony and Jason. I haven't read other books in this series and right now I totally CRAVE to know Barrett and Teddy's and Leo and Dylan's stories. They all seem to be great people and really good friends.
If You're looking for some hardcore BDSM - it is not a book for You. The romance part is pretty sweet, the way they were trying to stay just friends with benefits and also hide it from their best friends was actually kinda funny. The chemistry between them is absolutely AMAZING! They couldn't keep their hands (and mouths) from each other!
It was my first book with puppy play that I really enjoyed. Thanks to Tiger I understood the idea and really liked it. It was surprisingly exciting.
I absolutely enjoyed this book! But that's not a surprise because I loved the first two too.
Tony and Jason were like water and fire, nobody guessed they were fooling around and not to mention falling in love. But the love and relationship was the last thing, the most important thing was the way they got there!
Loved Jason's brat side it was hilarious, and that scene when he demonstrated how to be a good submissive - oh god, not only Tony got hot and bothered, me too!
I loved how the other characters from the first two book were there, and I mean they were there a lot! They were like a big family and I like this kind of stories when everyone got together and they're happy, fun and kinky. This series is so lovely while kinky.
The puppy play was so cute, I love puppies! And it was so cool how Jason acted as Tiger! He wasn't a brat anymore just a pup who wants to play. I LOVED the puppy scenes, but they weren't as much as I wanted. The playdate was fun too, but short.
It was a really good book, loved reading it and highly recommend it if you loved the first two book, or you are new to this series - this book can be totally read as standalone, but I recommend the other two too!
This was an incredible read. I loved all the angst and the heat in this opposites attract romance. The chemistry between Tony and Jason was amazing!
Tony is not the most open person in the beginning and quite harsh in his judgment of Jason, who is just the sweetest guy, even if a little bratty. Once he does start to see Jason’s other side, he gets very protective which was awesome. I really liked how they explored the puppy play together, those scenes were the sweetest.
Jason’s insecure and sometimes prone to jumping to (distressing) conclusions, understandably since he’s been betrayed and used in the past, so I really felt for him in those moments. As they grow closer emotionally, he learns to trust Tony, and his intentions towards him.
I really enjoyed how everything unfolded and the fact that these authors showed that dominance/submission is a state of mind and not linked to a person’s stature/build.
