I bought this book as I wanted to knit some flowers and there were several designs within the book. Also included were lots of quirky patterns for fun little trinkets and decorations. However, sometimes the patterns were difficult to follow and even using the Vogue Knitting Book for further explanation did not illuminate the instructions. For example, the hyacinth's bobbles are an advanced technique. But there was no breakdown or progress pictures that would have helped along a struggling knitter.

TDLR: Fun, random patterns but not necessarily for the beginner.

This book offers a variety of relatively quick knit projects. Not exactly sure how I want to rate it. Some things were cute, sure, and others were...strange. I mean, why would I want to knit asparagus?...but then again, each his/her own

Contains an attractive array of projects for the beginner knitter or one like me, that just wants fun and easy things to make that are useful and attractive. Good pictures and clear directions.
