Long ago, Samuel created the four Pinnacle Kings, beasts of immense power and destruction. Unable to contain their power, he sealed these four beasts himself. However, the rules forbade him from making the seal unbreakable.
Octagon the Bitter, Pinnacle King of Winter, has awakened. His influence is spreading, and the North Kingdom is already feeling the consequences.
Sealed away and finding himself unable to intervene, Samuel makes a drastic decision – one that will change the very rules by which the Five Kingdoms operate.
The end of the world has begun…

What can I say? I can confidently announce that I have fallen into a comfortable and rewarding grind in the reading of this.
I feel like I'm leveling with Morgan and Sarah. I'm getting more powerful with every page.
My timers are shortening, my skin is getting tougher, and now I am able to kill gods.
Lol, I'm reminded of a novelization of some of the best game mechanics of Final Fantasy XIV with huge special effects mixed with solo or dual gameplay mechanics. We just got to the point of lifting the level 5o cap and now the sky's the limit. All the beasties are more powerful and it's a race to omniscience.
Oh, and I definitely have an Invincible vibe going on here.
We've got to wait for Winter 2020 for book five. I'll be bored waiting all that time, maybe even dead from the boredom of waiting. Seriously though, I can't wait for the next book. My only hope and wish is that Morgan does not get killed or separated from Sarah. They deserve a better and decent end in this series. And it would make a change to have a decent ending for a change. It's been great following their trials and tribulations, their failures and successes. You just know there's going to be plenty of action in the next book. This book series is highly recommended. Read and enjoy.
Sometimes they are smart and sometime they make bad choices. The writer doesn't follow his own rulers. This series is based on hard magic system but 40% of the time it feels like soft magic system.
Note: I have a backlog of reviews so what follows is short and to the point. Spoilers will not be called out. Typos likely since I won’t be proof reading.
I read books 1-6 of this series and they are all getting the same review. The first thing to note is that the series is not done. I have no idea how many books this will be since the author can end it at any time simply by having the MC win the right fight.
This is better than average litRPG but author tells you from the beginning that this is the story of the MC's "Rise to Omniscience". Also there is no ensemble, just the MC and supporting characters of varying degrees of importance. As a result there is never any question of the MC actually being in danger. Every time a god is about to kill the MC I was bored because either the god would somehow fail or the MC would come back to life. Worst the author fails to realize that he has made much of his story boring, including the fights, since there is only one possible outcome. This series would be better if it was half as long and, if it weren't for the interesting secondary characters, like the gods who are fighting each other, I probably wouldn't have finished these books. The secondary characters are less than 1/4 of the books, however so I have reservations about recommending these books. The truth is, while they aren't bad, there are better.
One of my favorite series and this book doesn't disappoint. Came to know and love the characters and the story behind them. It seems as if there's always something new to discover. Love the settings, the beasts and the cool abilities
Always a fun read! A non stop page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat! The world building and unique mythology makes this series so great!!
The author really has a way with his addictive, action-packed narratives that can make the reader feel as if they were in the center of the story. There’s a good amount of humor and emotional elements, too! I highly recommend this series and author.
Oster continues to improve! In story telling, character development and fun! I have enjoyed this entire series and can't wait to read the next! I am a fan and if you liked the other books you will like this one as well.
For readers: this series is one of the best LITRPG currently out there. The tale is interesting and the world is well thought out. The story is fast paced and the author is doing a great job balancing the telling of the tale with revealing the past--blending the two is a tricky balance.
For Author: another good addition to the series but the typos have gotten out of hand. Many times I had to stop reading and try and decipher typos that were incomprehensible. Even if you can't afford an editor find some way to get this proof read better before you release it. Also, you had several logical flaws in your story that just dont make any sense. You need to take more time before release and go over your story so as to not create content that directly conflicts with past content. You can explain away some of it, but you have to do a better job or you are going to see your series unravel and loose your readership. I gave you 5 stars again but it should have been 4 due to the above critique.
Lastly, you need to slow down a bit, this story lacked some level of detail that made it feel....rushed...or hmmm, 1 dimensional? Hard to Express but the writing needs to have more flow to it? You are jumping from thought to thought and it feels like chunks are cut out and missing. The flow from thought to thought feel abrupt...yeah that's the best way to say it. Things need to flow more smoothly, transitions feel abrupt and even jarring at times.
Very nice piece of the story. Like where our main character is headed, though it looks like he has lots of trials and tribulations yet to come, it should make for entertaining reading. If you've been following this series, then you'll likely enjoy this installment. If you haven't, starting here wouldn't be the best place to begin, but it won't be a total loss like some books in a series are, though it will ruin a lot of surprises that you'd otherwise see if you read them in order, and it may be a bit difficult to follow some of the developing character traits and relations. In any case, I liked this one, and will read the next one when I can.
Morgan an Sarah they both rely on each other to survive and get stronger .
Morgan an Sarah have constantly been building on their relationship getting to know each other personally . Surviving the wilds of the beast zones getting stronger each individually an together as a couple relying on their instincts for each other an watching each others backs . Between it all they have to deal with meddling gods disrupting their lives an different kingdoms at each others throats constantly at war with each other just another normal day of the unknown . recommend reading excellent series .
About average for how the books have gone, still quite fun.
The stakes keep rising and Morgan keeps rising to those challenges as well. The situations are fairly believable and we finally get backstory on a lot of blind spots as well. The action wasn’t as enticing as it was and a lot of the fights seemed to drag on. Knowing that Morgan will most likely always win takes out some of the suspense involved.
I still enjoy the other cast of characters, except for the ones not friendly with Morgan. Their brief chapters are slow and, while necessary for the overall plot, just aren’t that good.
This series never disappoints. This book was no exception. The slow rise to power for Morgan throughout the series has reached stratospheric heights. But it's never enough because more bad is on the way. Not a lot of movement here but huge battles and a lot of world plot info. The set up for the next book(s) obvious at the end. Not that I mind at all. I look forward to more.
I'm getting a little bit tired of the series. The fights are getting boring, and the circumstances of the fights feel contrived and not very natural. This is probably the last book in the series I'm going to read.
If you’re reading this review, chances are you’ve already read the previous instalments. This maintains and improves on those. If you haven’t, go do that ASAP, you’re missing out!
Morgan powers grow, as do Sarah’s but will it be enough to kill a god?
Another exciting segment of this worlds story delves deeper into the history and by the end, we have a clear idea of why Gold acts as he does. I wonder what will be next on Morgan’s path
This one has made it a bit silly. The gods being more involved but also guns?? My main man has some serious plot armour too. I liked it but it’s getting a bit “out there”. No doubt Morgan will get stronger on the next one and beat the pinnacle king too.
I'm really enjoying Oster's series. The twists and turns are intriguing, and it is always fun to have a story take an unexpected turn. A very fascinating world and magic system as well. Looking forward to the next book!
Very good book just like the others of the series. Pacing is good and the action well described. Would recommend the whole series if you like this type of book.
