Meg Ripley is an author of steamy shifter romances. A Seattle native who’s relocated to New England, she can often be found whipping up her next tale curled up in a local coffee house with a cappuccino and her laptop.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💚💜💙❤️ Story/Plot: 📕📗📙 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 😒🥺😀🙂 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Solo Narration
The Hero:Flint Meyers - he is a wolf shifter and a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant, his weapons are very important to him, he doesn’t like going anywhere without them. He makes them himself. After getting ejected from his pack by his cousin who had never liked Flint, he joined the military and later got a job and found a family with the Special Ops Shifter Force. He had been feeling restless for the past few weeks, so much so that he has been changing into his wolf form and going on some midnight runs a lot more often than usual.
The heroine:Audra Larson - she is the sister of the Alpha of a pack of wolf shifters in Colorado. She had just returned to the pack, with her son after divorcing her ex-husband, Luke. He cheated on her, and they never did anything but argue, so she packed up and moved in with her parents, temporarily. She isn’t quite sure what she wanted to do with her life or where she wanted to live.
The Story: There are a couple of wolf packs in Colorado that have been having issues over territory, and it has gotten so bad that shifters are being attacked on the streets resulting in major injuries and a few deaths. The mission was a perfect match for Flint. So, he was off to Colorado Springs to investigate.
Like the first two books in this series, there is a good romantic suspense storyline about the mission. In this one, there are some good supporting characters, including Audra’s brother. Flint has to try to join their pack to do his investigation and he can’t take his eyes off Audra when he gets there. Her presence distracts him from his mission, and he ends up taking her captive which adds to the intrigue of the story. Not to mention the sizzling chemistry between the two main characters.
This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in solo narration by Stephen Borne. Stephen Borne has a deep, gravelly voice that I quite like for the alpha bear shifter. Of course, any man with a deep voice doesn’t have the best voice for the female characters, though his isn’t as distracting as some. Overall, the narration was done well, though I do tend to listen to dual and duet narration much more often than solo.
flint considers the sos team his family more than his pack.he is sent to a pack to help suss out the constant attacks on the surrounding packs.but then he meets audra, the baby sister to the alpha who called in for help.will he forget his mission and jeopardize everything,or will he be able to convince audra of the truth he overheard that may break apart her family, but save the pack?when is it too late?

Captured by the Soldier Wolf Shifter Nation: Special Ops Shifters, Book 3 By: Meg Ripley Narrated by: Stephen Borne
Meg Ripley pens another fantastic paranormal romance in her “Shifter Nation: Special Ops Shifters” series. I am loving this series, each book features a difference shifter and assignment, in this book SOSF team member Flint Meyers goes on an assignment to investigate allegations of wrong doings amongst three shifter packs in the Rockies. He plans on infiltrating each pack to find out what is going on and who is behind it. I really liked Flint, he was a loner never really fitting in anywhere but he found a home with the SOSF. Audra Larson and her son are back with her family and her home pack where her brother is now the Alpha. After a failed marriage she is not sure what she wants to do yet. Flint, working undercover, requests to join the pack and Audra’s brother asks her to find out more about him, whether he is a spy or not. Audra caught Flint’s eye right from the start but he is all business and set on completing his mission. When all does not go as planned, Flints cover is blown when Audra overhears him talking to his SOSF team members. He had stumbled upon information that lead to who was behind the incidents with the other two tribes, it was all because of a power play. Now Flint must do something about Audra, could he convince her to help or will he be forced to do something he does not want to. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, angst, action, twists & turns, some thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot ones too. I loved these two characters they were great together and for each other, also loved how awesome Flint was with her son. Meg Ripley, thank you for another great story .
I listened to the Audible edition, Stephen Borne is a fantastic narrator and voice artists. He continues to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, he sounds as you picture them to sound. He captures and projects the characters emotions, as well as the drama of the story into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧
Audra has returned home to her parents after her divorce with her son Randy. She needs some time to get herself sorted out she isn’t sure if she will stay with her pack or go back to where her ex husband is so Randy is closer to his father. Nate Audra’s brother is alpha of the pack they have been having some trouble with the other packs wanting their lands also attacking and injuring them couple have ended in death. Flint works with SOS special unit and is sent on this mission find out what is going on who is fighting who and sort it out. Flint needs to infiltrate the pack and get to find what is going on he also needs to go to the other packs. Flint meets the pack also Audra something stirs inside him but he needs to focus by chance he gets caught by Randy to play soldiers with him which means he couldn’t go to the other packs but goes for a run on four paws where he comes across Nate and his second discussing how well they are doing with the attacks making it look like the other packs are doing it. Audra hears the phone call Flint makes so he has to take her hostage with him until he can persuade her to help him out until he can show her evidence of what her brother is doing. Them being together causes more sparks between them and they act on them. Audra sees the evidence of her brothers dealings and has him over thrown as pack alpha. Flint is preparing to leave but when Randy and Audra ask him to say his answer is yes he wouldn’t of been able to live away from them Audra is his mate. Another great story of the special ops shifter series good story line strong characters and gets you from the beginning to the end
Special Forces Weapons Sergeant Flint Myers has found a new family in his Special Ops Shifter Force brothers. Sent on a special mission to infiltrate a pack in the Rockies, he meets the Alpha’s sister. Audra Larson has come home with her little boy after a nasty divorce with her cheating ex to start a new life. Her brother asks her to keep an eye on the newcomer, Flint, to make sure he’s not a spy and really wants to join the pack as he says. Instead, Audra’s wolf realizes he is her mate!
When Audra hears Flint on the phone with his Special Ops Shifter Force to update them on his intel so far, he is forced to take her captive so that she won’t divulge this information to her brother and compromise his mission. He wants her help, but she will need proof that her pack is truly attacking other packs. Having to be this close together and alone, will they be able to overcome the powerful mating bond pull of their inner wolves? Will they discover the truth about the attacks on the packs?
This was a wonderful story, well-written and with great characters. The story line will keep the reader involved and curious as to how Audra and Flint will deal with their situation. Grab your copy and find out how this will resolve!
Another op to save another group of shifters and Flint is on the mission. There he meets Audra and her son Randy who is home from a divorce and staying with her parents and re-immersing into her pack. Only problem, the leaders of her pack are up to no good and she doesn’t know it. So Flint has to do whatever necessary to make her understand and take the alpha down whom happens to be Audra’s brother. This was probably my least favorite story of the three so far. There was no chemistry among the two characters other than a mention of being attracted to each other and there was also no mention of them being fated mates until the epilogue. I didn’t really get anything out of the story. Also, while in the first two stories, there was an explanation as to how that SOS member would remain on the team after finding his mate, there was no mention here. We know that Hudson moved to California and does the meetings via video chat and Hudson and his mate and new SOS member Leona are still at HQ but what exactly is going to happen to Flint’s position. There’s no mention at all… just a HEA without those exact words. Not cool.
Flint is feeling caged in. His wolf is unsettled, and he's not exactly sure what he's looking for. When a mission comes up regarding feuding wolf packs, it's sort of a no brainer he's the one that needs to go.
Audra finds herself getting divorced, and bringing her young son Randy back to her pack & family. She sees this as a breather, while she figures out what to do. Her parents are looking at this being permanent. Her brother is now the Pack Alpha, and is happy to see her back, but warns her of the fights and conflicts with nearby packs.
Flint shows up looking for an invite to the pack, and his wolf goes crazy when he sees Audra ... who's getting the same vibes. Her brother wants her to get more info on Flint, as he doesn't trust him.
She overhears his phone conversation with his teammates and he ends up kidnapping her. After much cajoling and smexy times ... he gets her to agree to help if he can show her proof.
SOS are here again and this time it's Flints turn. Feeling restless he is sent on a mission about a turf war between three Packs with fights and deaths. Audra is back after a divorce forces her to find some peace back home with her son. As Flint is sent to spy on the three Packs, Audra's brother, Alpha of her clan wants her to spy on Flint. As Flint makes his move, he gets proof that all the problems aren't the other packs fault. Can they confront the Alpha and rectify things before it's to late?????? A great book with some great characters. Love the SOS crew
This storyline was well written and the characters kept me turning the pages. This has action, danger, intrigue and so much more. Flint is a wolf shifter and part of the SOS force. He is sent to infiltrate shifter groups that are fighting over territory and harming other packs. Audra returned home after her husband cheated on her. She is getting a divorce but wanted her son to be close to her family. Audra and Flint have great chemistry and I enjoyed them interacting together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book pulled me in from the start. It’s raw, intense, and emotional in a way that sticks with you long after you finish. The characters are scarred by their pasts, carrying trauma, loyalty, and survival on their shoulders, and you feel every internal battle they fight. The connection between them builds through tension, trust, and shared pain, making the romance feel earned rather than rushed. This story is dark, powerful, and deeply moving perfect for anyone who loves gritty emotion, protective energy, and a love that grows in the middle of chaos.
This was my first book by Meg Ripley but it will definitely not be my last.
The author managed to grab my attention from the beginning and despite not reading any of the other books in the series, I was able to enjoy the story without any confusion. Read to see what one soldier is willing to do for his "brothers" and to protect his mate. Expect drama, action, romance and to be intrigued by the characters.
Undercover to check out reports of attacks on wolf shifters. Imagine his surprise when he was suddenly confronted with his mate, Audra. There's just one teensy problem, Flint's investigating Audra's brother. Will Audra and Flint's relationship be derailed by the investigation?
This is one of my favorite series. The books are filled with sexy males, feisty women and lots of action. Enjoy!
I enjoyed Flint and Audra's story! It's a very captivating story that is a fairly quick and addicting read. The story is well written with twists, surprise, romance and mystery. Flint and Audra are fated! He is on a mission and has to kidnap her to keep it quiet. The chemistry and pull between them is great. This might be my favorite story so far in the "Special Ops" series. I really enjoyed this story!!! Love the characters! The narrator did a really good job.
Captured By The Soldier Wolf by Meg Ripley. Audra returns home with her son after her marriage falls apart to find her pack being attacked by a couple of other packs. Her brother Nate is alpha of her pack. Flint Myers, wolf member of Special Ops Shifters is sent to find out what is going on. When Audra and Clint first meet sparks fly. They are mates but a lot happens before they can explore their feelings.
Audra Larson went to her family and home pack when things weren’t working out with her husband and there’ve been changes! Her brother Nate’s now the pack alpha and unfortunately there are problems with the nearby packs. Flint Myers’ assigned to get to the bottom of random attacks and wolf deaths but nearly goes off mission when he meets Audra. Rating: 3.75stars
Flint is the weapons specialist for the SOS Force and a wolf shifter, perfect to infiltrate 3 packs that have had attacks reported that are escalating. If he can't get to the bottom of this, it could mean all out war between the packs and could expose shifters. Audra has returned home with her son after her divorce. Living with her parents isn't what she had planned for this stage in her life, but it'll give her time to figure out where to go from here. Meeting Flint may throw a kink in her thinking. Another wonderful cast of characters added to the ones I already love!
It's always a pleasure to read a book by Meh Ripley. Her characters always seem so real and lifelike you know that you're right in the story with them. Each of these stories made me feel as though I was right there in the moment with them.
Just when I thought I had found a best book by Ms Ripley I get surprised by either the next book or the whole series. And this book has just done that for me again. This story like all the rest are stand alone reads and are responsibly quick to read. I loved Audra and Flint both amazing characters.
This was another great shifter romance. I loved how the story played out and the characters were great! It was well written and I would recommend this book to all!
The narrator also did a fantastic job in depicting the characters. Very well done!!
Flint is assigned to investigate warring wolf packs in Colorado. Infiltrating the first pack, headed by Nate, their Alpha, Flint meets Audra, Nate's sister and finds his lone wolf life is about to undergo a tremendous overhaul. Audra wants nothing to do with Flint, especially once she discovers his true purpose, but by that time Flint can't risk letting her out of his sight without blowing the entire operation. Their undeniable chemistry fueled their back-and-forth banter while Flint works with the rest of his team to find the proof of what's going on.
This was a delightful romance, with both characters overflowing with personality and wit. I loved their interactions, and the way Audra processed the unavoidable truth was commendable. Their HEA was achieved with less bloodshed than the earlier books in this series, which made it a bit easier to read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Flint is a member of the SOS force and considers them his family. He is on a mission to find out who is attacking several packs in the Rockies. While there he meets Audra, a wolf shifter with a little boy that he is instantly drawn to. Audra has come home to regroup after her divorce. Her brother is the new Alpha and all too soon she remembers why she left and how controlling her family can be, Audra happens upon Flint while he is phone home his intel and as a result, he kidnaps her and asks for her help, but she demands proof of any wrongdoing first. Together they must resolve the situation to protect the packs and try to resolve the attraction they have for each other. I absolutely loved this book. Audra’s little boy is a sweetheart and you can’t help but to fall in love with him. Flint is a lone wolf and likes it that way so takes a while to understand why he is so attracted to Audra. Audra almost instantly realises he is her mate but due to her divorce she is a bit gun-shy.
Flint was the cynic, loner and technophobe of the SOS Force and Audra was a stubborn, single mum, who was trying to sort her life out following her recent divorce. The instant attraction when they first met was so evident, that even though they tried to deny it, Audra’s brother noticed it. The author’s portrayal of their journey to a happily ever after was filled with drama, angst, a sizzling sexual encounter, a betrayal and finally accepting the fact that they are fated to be together. The storyline is interesting and enjoyable, but also deals with the issue of loyalty versus the greater good. It is a book that should be added to your to be read list.
