Grandma's dying wish was to give me the family estate. But not everybody wants me to have it. I've got two weeks to claim what's mine. Wasn't expecting Mr. 6'-2" and cocky to be my savior.
Jon Rayburn. My first everything. I left this small town for a reason. And Jon was one of them. Now he's walking around shirtless. Swinging his big hammer. Fixing up the house next door. Well, he better keep that hammer to himself. I still hate him.
He was the believable choice for a fake engagement. But aint nothing fake about his kisses. And his caresses are a little too caring.
So when I find out I'm pregnant with his baby... Well, let's just say all hells about to break loose in this little town.
This book was an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning to end. I loved both main characters and was routing for them. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy of this book.
Rain is back in town to bury her beloved grandmother, her life is a mess with a business that needs her attention and her ex-fiancé refusing to let her leave the business they run together. The last thing that she thought she was going to face was a court case about her inheritance and to top off a bad situation, the man working next door is the one who shattered her heart and was her everything before he left her with no explanation. And now she needs his help but can she really pretend that she doesn’t still love him and really leave when all is said and done?
Jon has rebuilt the life he destroyed as a teenager, leaving town and Rain behind seemed like his only option at the time he could no longer hide how bad his addiction was but that was years ago and although they have both move on has he really ever stopped loving Rain? But now he can make amends and show her he’s changed?
This story just made me feel hope for both the characters and the love they shared never really died. Fantastic read and can not recommend it enough. 4.5 🌟
My God my God !!! Would it be too much to ask these authors to STOP WRITING THAT SAME BULLSHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ??????? THE. SAME SHIT. EVER !!!!!!!
She said it was fake. He promised that one day it would be real. One thing was certain, these two High School sweethearts still had sizzling chemistry. They run hot and cold - sometimes just run - but when they are hot, they are SMOKIN'! This story takes you on all of the twists, turns, and hurdles Jon and Rain have to overcome to find their destiny.

I liked this romance. I thought the story was entertaining and the characters likable. The storyline offers lots of emotional turmoil, angst and drama as this second chance/fake fiancé romance unfold. There were a few pet peeves in here that caused me to knock off a star but otherwise, I felt that this was a very good read. This is my honest, volitional review.
I love Aubree Wright. She's not afraid to step into the muck and create something beautiful from damaged goods. Fake Fiance with Benefits builds something solid out of a pair of broken hearts, a little white lie and new beginning for an unfinished romance. Rain and Jon reminds us it's okay to be human, flaws and all.
I liked the story line and main characters. I just didn’t feel it. Something was lacking, For one Jon’s story could have been more in depth. With out spoilers there much to much lacking on how and why’s. More of a back story on Rain also seem to be missing.
This was such a cute story. We start off with a sad situation, Rain has come back to her hometown to bury her Grandmother. The first person she sees is her ex Jon. It’s been almost 16 years but she’s never forgiven him for how things ended.
Rain’s Grandmother left her everything but her nasty Aunt is out to steal it all and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. In order to stand against her Aunt Rain needs to prove she’s got stability. After a few failed dates she finds herself accepting Jon’s help to pretend to be her fiancée. Since they have history it’ll be believable.
As with most second chances they hit a few bumps along the road to reconciliation. They need to relearn how to trust each other and also how to feel worth the others love. It’s super touching to watch their relationship blossom and overcome the obstacles in their way.

What a great read. Adults. No games. Re-finding themselves. Living the happily ever after. Who could ask for anything more?
Funniest quotes: "We had some great times, Leigha and I. Listen, I know it might be inappropriate.......I wondered if I might have the floral sofa in your grandmother’s living room?” “What?” I asked, my face now warped with confusion. “I know it sounds like an odd thing to ask, but I am just terribly fond of it. Your grandmother and I were, uh, intimate on that sofa many times. It was the perfect height to accommodate certain physical ailments of mine so that we could be a bit more adventurous in our lovemaking.” I had no idea what my face must have looked like at that moment, but that scream was working its way to the outside quickly. “Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don’t want to hear that!” I gasped."
"His breath was enough to knock out a Brahman bull..."
Fake Fiance with Benefits shows that in the hands of a talented enough writer even fun romantic tales can have very dark significant. Aubrey Wright is definitely such an author, and Rain and Jon romance is definitely such a story. Yes, it’s a fun romantic comedy with a fake fiancé hook that actually works pretty well. Yes, it’s also a nicely done second chance romance. If you like either type of a story you’ll be in for a treat here. What makes the story (as is not really a spoiler as the reader learns it early enough on even if Rain doesn’t) is that the reason for Jon’s sudden abandonment of Rain and his family, and everything, had nothing to do with cheating on Rain who always had his heart, but rather to do with drug addiction that he has successfully hidden. Powerful and dark stiff indeed, but folded well into a romantic tale that’s definitely worth reading and is easy to recommend.

Raintree Harper is returning to her rural hometown to settle her recently deceased Grandmother's estate but what was supposed to be a simple affair was more than Rain bargained for when her great-aunt decides to lay claim to the family homestead. Jon Rayburn was Rain''s first love and now he seems to be the only person who can help her keep the home she grew up in and he is more than willing to assist no matter how much it costs.
Great story line. I love the repor that was built between the characters. I enjoyed reading this book.

Excellent romance about second chances and recovery. Rain had to go back home and ran into a lot of things she never expected. Loosing her grandmother that raised her early in life left a hole. She moved to LA but has numerous problems there only to have them at her grandmothers. Jon and Rain have a history from high school but he left her suddenly and was gone for 10 years. Rain is hurt and trying to deal with everything. The author did a wonderful job developing the characters and storyline. The only issue I had was it got slow in several places. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Wright.

This is the second chance story of Jon and Rain. They dated in high school and things ended when Jon took off. Now years later they find themselves both back in town. I thought this story was beautiful, I enjoyed the highs and lows and was really invested in the characters and was rooting for a happy ending for them. The ending did make me shed a happy tear. All in all a good read. I have read other books by Aubrey and have enjoyed everyone of them. My only complaint is that I felt some of the conversations were rushed and didnt go into enough detail or weren't heartfelt enough.

Rain has been a small town girl that decides to move to l.a to find something to help with what she is missing in her life . Jon has always had felling for rain ,but when he has a problem during relationship when they are young that makes his life go up in fire and the only thing that can get him back is the thought of rain. Rain has to return to her small town and finds out that she has more problems that will happen with her gram mother estate and with the fact that fact Jon is fixing the house next door this could seem to bring more drama to both of them . I received this book as a arc for a honest review and can say that this book has a lot page turning pages .
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book via Booksprout Oh Jon and Rain (Raintree) childhood sweethearts and now back I each other’s lives. Who knew that her grandmother who always looked after them is still doing the same now she has passed away. Rain is dealing with an awkward ex and business partner Shaun, difficult distantly related relatives and now one hot sexy man...Jon. A great second chance romance that I couldn’t put down. Both sad and funny at times it kept me interested all the way through. Loved it all, even the cats.
They dated in high school Jon and Rain. Rain still has some pretty hard feelings towards him and thinks of him as a jerk but he does come to her rescue when her grandmother’s home is in jeopardy of being taken away from her. This is a second chance romance . I liked both of the characters and I loved how they found their way back to each. I voluntarily received an arc copy through Booksprout for my honest review.
I didn’t particularly like this book. I alarmist quit reading several times throughout , but one reason or another I continued... whelp, I just finished it and didn’t make me much happier... I don’t think I liked Rain much. She had a off the handle attitude and was a bit mean to Jon... call me crazy but it seemed like there was a lot stuff/fluff going on but the story didn’t really move. Overall, not my cup of tea, the plot or style of writing.
This is a great second chance romance that will pull you in & keep you turning the page. Jon & Rain have history together so it makes sense for them to be fake fiancés, neither of them expected the spark to reunite. Will they let their past drama & emotions rule or will they find love?! You won’t regret reading this amazing book!!!
This well-written storyline is a fake fiance/second chance romance. The high school sweethearts were abruptly uncoupled, many years later, an arrangement is made that is not all that fake for the sake of an inheritance. There was little to no communication but plenty of steam. This is a long journey toward a HEA. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Rain is back in town because she lost her grandmother and she sees her teenage love who dumped her and disappeared. Jon has gotten his life back on track and has never forgotten about Rain. They both start seeing each other but both have secrets. Their relationship is put to the test, can they finally be honest with each other to make this relationship work. Good second chance romance.
Another 10 stars read. This author never disappoints. I haven't read a book from her that I haven't loved. Rain's grandmother dies and that brings her back to Jon Rayburn. They were a couple in highschool, until Jon broke her heart. Sweet, adorable story with likable characters. I loved it.

Rain goes back home to everything she left behind when she has to deal with her grandma’s death. Jon is the one thing she didn’t want to deal with from her past, but he is front and center of her attention. Rain does a great job of running away over and over again when things aren’t the way she thinks they should be, not understanding damage she is doing. Good read.
A beautiful well written sweet romance. This engaging storyline is a romantic, heartbreaking, emotional with drama, secrets, misunderstandings and ups ad downs. The characters are realistic and well developed keeping me turning page after page to an incredible ARC that I voluntarily read and reviewed.
Jon and Rain’s story is beautifully written and has undeniable chemistry, and is raw, gritty, heartbreaking, sweet, romantic, and an emotional, 2nd chance, roller coaster journey. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.
Jon and Rain have a past, secrets and misunderstandings. But they make a bargain to thwart greedy relatives and yet the passion and the heat are more than real with real consequences. A well done second chance romance!
The plot was good but I think that Jon's story could have went into more depth. I don't know much about drug addiction but one day you are fine and the next you disappear, not really believable without more context.
I loved Rain and Jon’s story! I love second chance at love stories! I loved Rains attitude she was awesome! Her had Jon had a lot of fire! Definitely recommend reading!
