I purchased the 3rd edition of this book in 1995. I adopted this book for my graduate and undergraduate students and helped me a lot in my lectures. Its easy to sum your knowledge quickly and command updated clinical anatomy. Nearly all my postgraduate students got high marks in USMLE or in FRCS during 31 years in teaching clinical anatomy. It is a supreme book for preparing for the USMLE exam.

Its fine for a quick anatomy review if you already have foundational knowledge, which is exactly the purpose of the BRS.

The book merely revealed that studying Anatomy really has no shortcuts. Despite the well-organized contents of the book, it took me no less than two readings to internalize some of it purely by brute force alone. While I won't certainly brag of proficiency, I'm proud that I've at least improved a bit in my understanding of such a tough subject, and a good deal of it is because of this tome and the exams of our dedicated mentor.
