Book #9 in The Road to Babylon post-apocalyptic series. _________________________________________ PROTECT THE HOMESTEAD, WHATEVER THE COSTS.
Keo thought he’d killed it: a blue-eyed ghoul with a particularly sadistic streak unlike anything he has ever faced before. This creature enjoys toying with its victims, creating terrifying scenarios to keep the game going, just before it delivers the fatal blow.
After their initial confrontation outside of Paxton, the ghoul has returned, very much alive and stronger than ever. This time, it’s also brought along friends. A lot of friends.
But Keo won’t have to face the creature alone. He has Lara and Bunker to watch his back, and together they’re not just going to lie down and play dead. If the ghoul wants a fight, then it’ll get one.
Keo isn’t in the mood to play games. He’s defending not just the ranch, but also his family. It’ll be a fight to the end, and there will be no round three.
I've read them all, every book in this universe...But the last two books have had far to much effort to be cute written into the dialogue. " It's hear. Who's it? You know it!! It what? ..you know it!! I have no Idea what it is!! " awwwhhhhhhh...STOP with the mindless bantering and stupid decisions! Why now? The books have been so much fun to read.. Oh well, still a good story if the utterly stupid dialogue doesn't shut you down. Please Sam, you're better than this.
It doesn’t look like the world will ever be rid of the ghouls. A world without ghouls is forever gone. Keo and Lara are making a go of a life of their own anyway. But not without interference from a vengeful blue-eyed ghoul. It is good to be with our friends Keo and Lara and an old friend who has been there from the start of it all in Houston. As long as Sam keeps writing these great books, I will keep reading them.
A really great conclusion to this book! Not sure if he's going to be other books after this, the Cliffhanger certainly makes it seem like there will be. Can't wait to read what happens next! A few things happened in the book that makes you think of the original books. I can't get over how smoothly this book flowed from start to finish I didn't want to put it down. Definitely read this!
This was pretty thrilling, Aside from the fact this blue eye seems to be more suped up than normal suped up blue eyes. Had Sam started this way, there would’ve never been a part 2 of the purge series. Lara is still boring, and Lara has turned Keo into a boring scared wuss. I miss Keo when he was a badass killer. Sam, enough with boring Lara, let’s get back to Danny !
The band may be back together after another run in with an old blue eyes. The 9th book in the series keeps the fast paced action going, just as in the first book and the last. Hope that this does not end this terrific storyline. Come on Sam, at least one more.
....fantastic book for the Road to Babylon series!!!! Just as good if not better than the previous 8 books!!! One question that I have been wondering about, is what had happened to Will (aka Frank)??? Hope someone can refresh my memory. Looking forward to book ten!!!!
Sam Sisavath never disappoints! The action is fast, the characters and plot are every bit as engaging as the very first Purge of Babylon novel. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, this is a must read.
Interesting twist to the series and it appears the series .at not end. It's going to be a challenge for the author to create another book even though the ending of this one indicates the series is not over
Sure, sure cliff hanger ending says there's another book in the wings. Still love the storyline, characters, the original gang back together (we hope), but ours time for a new twist.
I've read every book Sam has written and they are all great. Characters so vivid they seem like old friends. This book is a good story and a fine addition to the series. Can't wait for the next! Oh, and where is Allie krycek?
Once again Mr. Sisavath has added to a great series. Can't wait for the next installment to what has been a terrific read. Lara, Keo, Danny and Carly are only a few of the characters that I have come to see as much valued friends.
This one almost has it all= character development of new and old characters, plenty action from start to finish, and some surprises. I seriously can't wait for the next one. Enjoy this one I know I did.
Keo is one of my favorite characters, but so is Lara. Another excellent book from sisaveth. Beginning to end it is action packed. No parts that drag. Nice series of twists and turns. A+
The last couple of books hadn't progressed the story at all. This one got everything back on track. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.
Lara is 4 months pregnant with Keo's baby, but she fights like never before against the resurgent blue-eyed ghoul. This one is a real pain in the mass for Keo, but they'll adapt and overcome!
Always my favorites, I really love hearing about Keo and Lara. Great characters, exciting storyline, excellent writing and well edited. Always a pleasure to read without stumbling over typos, misspellings and grammar errors. This is a great read! Get it now, you won't be disappointed.
