A lovely time capsule of one of the earliest attempts to define PNW cuisine. Annoying in that exact time capsule way, though, to see SE Asian (mostly Szechuan, if I had to choose, with a teeny bit of Vietnamese) called out strongly as an "ethnic" influence in the jacket copy while ignoring the strong presence of several Scandinavian counties. The book itself is more respectful, if notably white.
Ingredient-wise, it's one hundred percent spot-on, and the recipes are straightforward home cooking.
