Badly in need of an edit
I have come to understand that e-books today are riddled with typos, misused words, etc. I can usually get past them and not have the story impacted. With this one I simply couldn’t.
Example?
“...his hips postponing against me.”
I almost laughed out loud but then thought further on it. I assume it was supposed to be some variation of the word piston. Did the author do any proofreading? Anyone doing a second glance would have noticed that one immediately.
I’m glad it was a kindle freebie because otherwise I’d be fuming mad at having paid for this unedited story. I really wish authors would just put a little more effort into these things. I’d have given more stars if it looked like any attempt at an edit was done.

I enjoyed this novella about Anthony and Maya, a enemies to lovers story. It had just enough intrigue to be interesting and character development to be believable.
I did find one or two grammatical errors throughout the book.
I enjoyed Maya more during the earlier part of the story, as she was feisty but she turned into a sap in the last chapter before the epilogue.
A great way to while away an hour.

Yelling does not equal attraction
Anthony is Maya's boss and yells at her and never tells her she's doing a good job. So of course she should know that he's interested in her. In what universe does that make sense?? The whole premise and plot were flawed in this story. I'm just glad it was short so I didn't waste any time. He turned out to be a good guy in the end and that's why I gave it 3 stars.

Who is Rose Bak?
I ran across this book by sheer chance. Neither my wife or my romance book pal at work had heard of her.
I’m a sucker for masquerade books and the cover caught my eye and am I glad it did. “A Hot Enemies-to-Lovers Midlife Romance.” If the cover hadn’t gotten me the tagline would have. Just the perfect combination of romance, angst, and hotness.
I can’t wait to read another.

Another new author and it was another good book.
Romance between Maya and her boss after an unexpected kiss at a party. She thought he hated her, he thought she wasn't interested.
Short and sweet book.

cute just felt way too rushed
Cute premise - enemies to lovers trope. Just felt way too rushed of a story. There’s a few f bombs which I’m not a huge fan of profanity. A little more of open door bedroom scene then I like as well. And I felt like the female lead went from hating to living really quick without a journey. Very short story so it was a quick and easy read

Love Unmasked
A fun yet quick enemies to lovers read. With the aid of a masquerade Halloween party, these two get their start and it just snowballs from there. Likable characters and an entertaining plot kept me at it to the end.

This was just an okay story. The characters were relatable and their story engaging but there was no spark or really much heat between them which took away from the story.

Fun read
I enjoyed this book. The writing held up, though it could use a proofread to eliminate double and transposed words, but is otherwise well-written. I’m a big fan of a masquerade.
