She’s the woman I’ve always loved. He’s the man I’ve never stopped wanting. Who says I can’t have everything?
Lawrence
Falling in love with Gabi at eighteen was easy. Falling for Connor at the same time? That’s where things got complicated. When I discovered their latent feelings for each other, it seemed like all the pieces of us were falling into place. Until the night I offered Connor a taste of Gabi’s kiss - from my lips - and everything fell apart.
Six years have passed, but I’m still the same selfish bastard who wants more than his fair share of love. If I ever get a second chance, I’ll do anything to make them mine.
Gabi
The night I found my boyfriend cheating on me with my oldest crush, my heart broke. I managed to rebuild my friendship with Connor, even after he left town. But Lawrence is nothing more to me than my brother’s best friend – and the best man at his upcoming wedding.
Connor’s recent return has rekindled the attraction that’s always lingered beneath the surface of our friendship. A romantic weekend of wedding celebrations seems like the perfect opportunity to explore the possibilities between us. If Lawrence is forced to watch from the sidelines, so be it.
Connor
As a male super-model, I’ve been voted World’s Sexiest Man – twice. But Gabi has only ever treated me as a friend. When she asks me to be her date for the wedding, I know this is my chance to win her heart – even if I have to do it under Lawrence’s watchful gaze.
But Lawrence has never been good at keeping his distance, and the kiss we shared all those years ago started something that has yet to be resolved. How do I keep him from coming between me and Gabi, when that’s exactly where I want him?
Becoming Us is an exciting menage romance by Australian author Rebecca Raine. Although part of a series, it is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger and a highly satisfying HEA.
Trigger Warning: The warning for this book contains minor spoilers so please take a moment to consider whether you wish to continue reading the warning. Still here? Okay, here it is: This book features mention of an eating disorder. There are no graphic scenes regarding the disorder, but this may be a trigger for some readers.
Rebecca is a long-time lover of all things romance. Whether it’s a book, movie, or real-life, she will always have more fun if there’s a love interest thrown into the mix. She lives in Queensland, Australia with her very own hero husband, two adorable children and one big, black dog. Other than reading and writing books, her favourite things include loud music, enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, organising everything in existence, and spending too much time on the Internet.
After reading Finding Grey I couldn’t wait for this one since I was already invested in Sean and Gabi and to have Gabi and get her story, I couldn’t get to this story fast enough. It was worth the wait!!
We met Gabi, Sean’s best friend in Finding Grey and their connection, well her story with her two loves is epic. Connor and Gabi been friends for a long time, Law is her older brother’s best friend before they got caught by said brother making out in the pantry. Law took a reed thin victim of bullying, Connor and helped him build up to intimidate the bullies. Law felt emotions towards Connor but never acted on it since he loves Gabi to cheat on her. Connor has a long time crush on Gabi but also feeling things for Law. Gabi’s graduation party one thing lead to the next and the happy couple blew apart and Connor was a part of the reason... it will take over 5 years for these 3 to be even civil with all together but when they finally have their talk and the secrets are revealed will these three to figure out if they can forgive and move on or still carry the hurt and pain of that one action all those years ago. Will they get their HEA together or will one be dismissed for the other two to be happy??.
I liked this book but unfortunately I didn't love it. It was well written and I liked the plot. It discussed an issue I hadn't heard about before but was very relevant to the story and the character affected, however I don't think this issue was fully explained or dealt with. I imagine an issue like this would be difficult to overcome and may require professional help, however according to this book you just need to hide away for a bit and it will go away. I also felt the beginning of the book when they were 17/18 years old had a few problems. First was the language they used. I've never heard any teenagers speak the way they do. It wasn't just the language used, more the way things were said that just didn't ring true. Second was the realisations of bisexuality. There didn't seem to be much internal questioning of it particularly since they were both in love with a girl and then all of a sudden they are attracted to each other having never had an attraction to men before. I would've expected that there would be some kind of struggle for them, maybe even denying it to themselves but there wasn't really anything. They just felt it and accepted it. Even if I could believe that, the fact that, at 18, Law can accept this new side of himself and instantly expect to engage in a 3 way relationship without any conflict either makes him incredibly arrogant or incredibly naive, particularly with the way he decided to approach the subject. My other reason for not scoring this higher was the fact that nothing really happened. There was no real drama or conflict, no adversaries. Nothing. If that's what you re looking for then this book will suit you perfectly. The characters are likeable and it has a fair bit of steaminess so it is a nice quick and easy read but if you are looking for something to grab your attention or evoke some emotion then this one is not for you.

I Received this ARC for Honest Review. I Give This Book 2/5 Star Rating.
Ever read a book and it's just words? For me, this book is stagnant, stale, slow paced, the book felt like a load of Fillers, no sense of emotion being really conveyed, yet you see it clearly written but you don’t actually feel it.
I find the female unappealing in this MMF. I just don’t understand why Gabi is acting purposely naive, then she has very annoying moments, and was a bit overdramatic at some points, and feels like a third wheel more often than not.
To me this is one of those book where the Synopsis Wins and the Book Loses.
Heat: 2/5, I honestly wasn’t even remotely impressed with the sex scenes. Romance: 2/5, this book would’ve been more convincing if it was just M/M. Suspense: 2/5 Drama: I won’t rate this, cause a lot of the drama just wasn’t needed in my opinion. HEA(?): Sure.

this was good.. im not big on mfm but i do enjoy a well written mmf and this one was well written and fun to read. it was sexy and had the right amount of spice to it. i liked it
The Return to You series by Rebecca Raine gets better and better with each release.
Becoming Us was a fantastic second book in the series. We saw plenty of tension and angst between Gabi, Connor, and Law in the first book that kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
This polyamorous throple had me rooting for their HEA from the first book and into the first chapter of this book.
Sometimes you know yourself better than anyone. Your confidence extends out from every pore. Knowing what you want and getting what you want, however, those are two different things.
Law has been in love with his first girlfriend and her best friend, the boy next door for years. Can he ever convince them that there is enough love to go around, equally?
Connor took a risk as a teenager, one that backfired awfully. Rather than admitting his true feelings, he moves on the best he can. His career pushes him into a dark place, one he’s trying to escape. Coming home may lead to healing, but it may also force his to face his past.
Gabi is once burned, twice shy. Shame and humiliation attacked her in high school. She refuses to think of it – but what happens when little forces of fate bring those memories to the forefront? They don’t look so shameful anymore, rather, they look like temptation in all the best forms.
This book is full of angst in all the best ways. Plenty, and I do mean plenty, of heated moments that may leave you panting.
Highly recommend this series if you like MMF and plenty of laughs between the characters.
And as always from my reviews, my top quotes of the book:
“All the pieces of my heart were present once more. I would do everything in my power to bind them together.”
“I’ve dreamed of the day the two of you would throw yourselves at my feet, ... I have to admit, I thought you’d be more graceful about it.”
I loved book one in this series and I was excited to start this one. Becoming Us is so much more than I thought it would be. It tackled some serious issues and my heart broke for Connor. I was cheering for this poly couple from page one.
Connor, Gabi and Laws journey started in their teens. Connor and Gabi went to school together and lived next door to each other and Law was Gabis older brothers best friend. While Law and Gabi were in a relationship he started to take notice of Connor as he helped him weight train. Connor was secretly in love with Gabi and to Gabi Connor was her safe best friend. As you can imagine what happens next forces a friendship and a relationship to disintegrate. Now years later and adults they are back in each other's orbit with the same very real feelings. When Connor, Gabi and Law break the walls down and come together it's nothing short of magic.
I liked that Law was certain in who he was. He knew that his heart belonged to two people. I can see why Gabi lashed out. She was a teenager with no experience but I'm glad she came around. Connors story broke my heart and he suffered from something I didn't know existed. This book isn't all sad moments and realizations it is also steamy. Like seriously if kinky threesomes are your jam then you're in luck. I recommend this book to book lovers who enjoy true love and sexy times.
Connor was in love with Gabi for a long time. But unfortunately, she friend-zoned him and started dating Lawrence, her brother's best friend. What Connor did not expect, was to feel the same attraction for Lawrence. Meanwhile, Lawrence loved his girlfriend but he fell in love with Connor too while helping him with his training. He wanted to be with both of them. So he hatched a plan. But he did not expect it would backfire. It ruined his and Gabi's relationship as well as his and Connor's. Five and a half years later, they all gathered in the same wedding. Gave into the temptation to taste the water. So, after a passionate night as Lawrence planned with the loves of his life, Connor and Gabi, they managed to start dating just like he wanted all those years ago.
Firstly, my gosh this book was boring AF! I thought it would be interesting. But I did not care for any of the characters whatsoever. Just wanted to get this over with. There's so little conversations and way more boring paragraph style writings. Ugh! No matter how much the author tried, every time the three of them were together, at least one of them felt like a third wheel. It was Gabi most of the times. But Gabi made it seem like it was Lawrence who was the third wheel. Gosh! I felt so bad for that dude. Specially when he said stuff like no one would actually fight for him which btw was true or admit that they love him which was also true. I only wanted to comfort him in those moments. Otherwise, I didn't care. The steamy scenes were semi hot. But all I wanna say is that I've read better MMF/MFM romance books. The plot was messy and boring.
I received an ARC of this book a few months ago and after reading it I hesitated leaving a review because I wanted to read it again – the story felt rich and complex and shamelessly honest, with the characters still learning who they are without the maturity of years of life experience or the hindsight of years of coming to terms with their sexuality, unlike the majority of other triad romances I’ve read before - and I didn’t think I could do it justice by leaving a half-baked review. And after a second read through a few weeks later I wanted to read it again. I kept discovering new things, understood points of view differently and more fully, found that it made me think and consider and really feel for these characters. I love the fierce bravery of Lawrence who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to chase it, even if it means he could lose everything. I love the vulnerability of Connor who doesn’t believe his own worth and almost destroys himself in trying to be what he thinks others think he should be. And I love Gabi and her brutal honesty, with herself and with the guys. It was hard at times to watch her reactions but she is just so easy to identify with because she could be me or my sister or my daughter or my bestie. I’m currently on my fifth read through and I still love this story. If you're after a quick, light, satisfying MMF read, this fits the bill, but if you're wanting a story that you can dig into and think about, this book is for you. Rebecca has a gift with the way that she writes that you can take what you need from the story. For me this is challenging and heart wrenching and hopeful and steamy in all the right places. I just love how perfectly flawed and human she makes all her characters, how they’re people I would want to get to know better, who's layers I want to peel back. Along with the first book in this series, Finding Grey which I also loved but for totally different reasons, this book has a permanent place on my Kindle home page and I love that I can dip in anywhere in this story and get sucked straight in. Everyone needs some Rebecca Raine in their lives. Highly recommended.
The usual unflattering stereotype for people who identify as bisexual, when not being told that they’re just confused, is that they’re “selfish.” However, sexual desire is a spectrum, even within the established categories. I love that Lawrence is honest enough with himself to both identify as bisexual and recognize that what he wants in life is a relationship with more than one person. This MMF story isn’t a case of all the characters making an exception for their happily ever after. Instead, for at least one of them, this is his only version of happily ever after. Even during the moments of the story when I thought Law was an entitled jerk, I still wanted this happiness for him.
This book is a slow burn in that it opens with the characters as teenagers and shows the initial conflict that forces them apart for so long. It’s nice to see how they come back to each other as adults, people who do not need a relationship to be whole but fall (back) in love with each other anyway. Connor has the most external conflict to wade through as he figures out what he wants to do with his life to stay healthy. Gabi and Law are more settled in their lives and careers but are happy to make room for Connor.
As much fun as the steamy bits in this book are, I found that I most loved the quiet moments when all three enjoyed being together. I have faith in their solid happily ever after. This is an excellent book to prove that a potential, satisfying future exists for everyone, no matter their sexual or romantic identity.
First, I want to thank Rebecca Raine for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Rebecca Raine is back and better than ever with her latest book Becoming Us. Becoming us is the second book of her series Return to You. Between the two of them this was hands down my favorite! I do suggest though you read the first book Finding Grey. If you are a fan of MMF books and you have never had the pleasure of reading Rebecca’s books-This is the one you need to read.
I have read many MMF, LGBTQ, and Erotica books in my book reviewing career. However, Rebecca’s book stood out among the others the story about beautiful lifelong friendships, rebuilding yourself and finding your true self were special. All of these elements just made the sexual experience they all had so much more special. The scenes were classically written.
I loved how Rebecca showed us gradually over the years how the characters and their storylines progressed.
Of all the characters in the book Connor was the one I liked and could relate to the most.
Rebecca would like to thank Syneca Featherstone for the amazing cover (and I agree with her she does incredible work) and for putting up with her crazy during revisions. I would like to add where does she find the hunks to put on the covers?!
Her biggest thanks will always go to her best friend and biggest supporter David. She will love you always and forever.
Becoming Us in the second book in the Return to You Series which follows the story of Lawrence, Gabi and Connor from young adults to older and the relationships and misunderstandings they have along the way. I didn’t read the first book in this series but I didn’t feel confused about what was going on. Basically, Lawrence ‘Law’ loves his girlfriend Gabi, but also has feelings for Connor. Connor loves Gabi but also has feelings for Law and Gabi loves Law and has some attraction to Connor. At the start of the book you can see that Gabi is too young and conflicted to enter a polyamorous couple, no matter how ready Law is or how confused Connor is about the whole thing.
Enter years later where the three come together again due to a wedding and you know sparks are going to fly. What was interesting about this book is that it is written from the points of view of all three characters so you really get into the psyche of what each one is thinking about the other and the situation in general. Although for me there were points where I felt that Gabi was really cruel to Law and she would have been quite happy had the relationship been between just her and Connor.
There is plenty of angst in this book between characters but also plenty of sexy moments which seem to balance out the book. There are also some pretty sweet moments, especially between Law and Connor and I definitely think this book would have worked as an MM book not just a MFM book. An enjoyable read if you like angst, drama and some hot scenes.
Connor is in love with Gabi he has known her since they were in nappies they were neighbours but it was Lawrence who held Gabi’s heart but Connor couldn’t hate Lawrence after all he has helped Connor with so many things but now when Connor thinks of Lawrence and Gabi together he has fantasies of him being there too. One night at Gabi’s graduation party Lawrence saw Connor he went up to him and ran his hand along Connor’s arm hoping that he would follow him and Connor did they ended up in Gabi’s bedroom and they were kissing when Gabi walked in it broke her heart she was disgusted and broke up with Lawrence then she sent Connor away. If you want to know what happens next then you’re going to have to get this book, it’s a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
Heartwarming, full of love and a truly meant to be poly romance!
I loved Connor, Law & Gabi. I felt their connection from the start and could feel that they were 3 parts of a whole! I loved the way Rebecca approached these characters, their connection and how she allowed them to grow up and grow into their unique love and relationship. They have known each other forever and there have been an array of emotions involved but as they grow and learn about each other as adults they realize their connection has never wavered and they have something very special.
I loved the depth of each character and especially Connor and what he’s gone through. I loved his character progression the best and felt for him at every turn. I loved Connor and just want to give him a big hug!
I feel that Rebecca has created a true poly romance here; everyone is equal and you can’t have one without the other two. They are very clearly 2 pieces that fit together. I feel this was story was very organic, emotional and heartfelt and I loved seeing Dante and Sean throughout the story. I loved this series and look forward to more from Rebecca and her Aussie flare!! Highly recommended read!!
Coming back to the world when it was Finding Grey. You now have Gabi, Law and Conner getting their own story. It was drama filled and high tensions from every character. Steamy scenes filled with sex. Gabi is confused with what she really wants, but in the end they all get it together finally. Walking in on your bestie and boyfriend is not what Gabi had in mind when she went to find her boyfriend. Years have gone by that she doesn't think about that night every so often. What if... Then Conner comes storming into her life and picks up almost where their friendship left off. But there's one person missing and he's the biggest link in their 3 and they both know it. Can they really make it work? Or will Law stomp all over it.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Gabi, Connor and Lawrence. They have been friends since they were kids, Law was best friends with Gabi's brother. When Law and Gabi started dating things were going fine, Connor admired her from afar. But Law and Connor's relationship changes when Law starts to help Connor after finding him bloodied after a fight. Then at a party things change, Law kisses Connor and Gabi finds out. This is a story about three friends finding their way they life with love thrown in the mix. Great HEA with fun characters. Since mfm and mmf.

Their three hearts are only complete when all are together
Lawrence (Law), Gabi, and Connor all have strong feelings for each other. But Gabi cannot wrap her head around a relationship with two bisexual men at the same time. So she rejects them. Connor and Law go their separate ways. Six years later when they are all in the same city, Law undertakes the effort of a lifetime to get them all back onto the same page. The intervening years have somewhat matured them, but negotiating relations outside societal norms proves difficult.

“Drink her kiss from my lips, Connor.” The urgency of my whisper rushed between us. “I want to share it with you.”
Loved the angst early on between Connor and Law, both in love with Gabi at a young age. It didn’t end well, as she lacked emotional maturity.
Skip forward five years, reconnecting, and filling gaps they’re other relationships had failed to fulfill.
Eating disorder touched on randomly. Voyeuristic scenes with Law looking on more often. Not as engaging as Grey’s book. A lot of attention paid to the mechanics of the ménage, not the characters this time for me. Cameo with Sean.
The strength of this book is in examining the complex relationships going on with the main characters. Lawrence (“Law”) has loved his first girlfriend for a long time, the sister of his best friend. He also loves Gabi’s best friend, Connor, the boy who lived next door and made her feel safe. Feelings of shock and betrayal at witnessing something unexpected tore Law and Gabi apart back in their teen years. Now the three are coming back for her brother’s wedding. Are they ready to examine how they feel? Are they ready to make a move in that direction now?
The book is well-written and makes an impact on the reader as long-time feelings are examined with a new mindset. Will maturity give them a new understanding of how they feel now and what could be waiting for them?
Rebecca Raine has quickly become one of my favorite writers. Her stories are real and take you from heartache to heartwarming every single time. Becoming Us is no exception. I especially loved her thoughtful handling of a very timely and sensitive subject of eating disorders. The love story feels so real even if you are not familiar with polyamory. Good writing always opens up your mind and allows you to explore the unfamiliar. I enjoyed this book every single page.
If you've read Finding Grey, book #1 in the Return to You series, you've already met the wonderful, delightful, sassy Gabi. I loved her as Sean's best friend. You would also have met Connor. You also know just a touch of what Gabi and Connor went through. But now you can read the whole story, the truth, nothing but the truth. What happens when the love you have for another person isn't really enough? Do you have the strength and the bravery to seek out what you need? Gabi, Lawrence and Connor will soon find out if they have what it takes to see their love flourish, or if society or their own misconceptions will torpedo what they could have. Not only nicely steamy, but delves into a few societal issues including acceptance, bullying and eating disorders.
Man, I wanted to like this much more than I did! Finding Grey was phenomenal. But in Becoming Us, I never really felt a connection with any of the characters. A little with Conner. I feel like his character was much more fleshed out than the other two. Becoming Us was very well written, and the editing was great. The sexy scenes were hot, without being too drawn out or repetitive. I just didn't feel like I knew Law or Gabi and that lowered my enjoyment.
Who says three pieces can’t make a whole just as good as two can? This was a wonderful story, and I loved the characters! I really enjoyed how the relationship between Law, Connor, and Gabi played out. Even after a certain life changing kiss drove them apart several years before, they were able to come back together with more understanding and support than ever before. They matured and grew as individuals and were able to see that what happened in the past needed to happen in order for them to get to the place that they are today. At that age, they simply weren’t ready for a relationship between all three of them. Sometimes time is all you need.
The thing that I like best about this book is that, while the relationship between the main characters is unusual in that three people are in it together, it is written in a very believable way. It doesn’t come across as some kind of fantasy relationship just a slightly more complicated one. While there are some very steamy sex scenes there is more written about how the three people adjust to life together. Highly recommend.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
From the start, these three characters are drawn to each other, and it never stops. They have their reasons for fighting their attraction, which leads to a riveting story.
There's emotion, hearts that are broken, and plenty of hot sex.
I wish I could read more. These three characters are fantastic together!
Props given to Gabi, Connor and Law for going through hurt, confusion and remorse when confronted with feelings that had taken them by surprise. Five plus years later the trio is brought together again. Feelings change but the underlying issues are met this time with Gabi calling the shots. This poly relationship is better for the growth of the characters.
Enjoying this book was easy. Reading this book was easy. Taking the journey with Law, Gabi, and Connor while not always a walk in the park, it was so worth the time, the tissues, the laughs, and the fanning from the heat, too. The story line was unique and different. Love was never a ‘given’. The main characters had to figure out for themselves if love was going to work for them. There was a time or two that I was sure it would not work out between the three of them. In the end love wins. I love a happy ending. I enjoyed this author's style of writing of much that I actually went back and bought another book of hers after I read this one. Rebecca Raine writes like I read.
I don’t know what I was expecting, I was excited but I didn’t feel connected to Gabi. I didn’t fall for law or Connor wanting them. The Plot and story like were good and fun but I didn’t bind with the characters or feel enthralled.
This book was a bit bland for me. There really wasn’t much drama or angst beyond the main storyline-and even that felt a bit shallow. It was very one-dimensional storyline. The characters were a little blah and even the steamy scenes weren’t that hot
In Becoming Us we start out with Lawrence “Law” and his girlfriend Gabi. Law has been training Gabi’s best friend Connor and finds that he is surprisingly attracted to him. He doesn’t initially act upon his feelings since he is with Gabi, but during Gabi’s graduation party, something happens that changes everything for all three of them!
I really liked Gabi’s character in this book, but Law was a little too alpha for me and Connor was a little too whiny for me. Together, I loved them!
If you are looking for a quick MFM romance book to read, I would definitely recommend this one. It is book two in a series, but not necessary to read book one.
Book two of the Return to You series a well written M/M/F story. This is Gabi, Connor, and Lawrence's story, this deals with eating disorder of a male model and the three of them trying to figure out where they fit in the others life.I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
