I recommended this book for publication in 1971. I can't believe it has taken this long for the horrors of the residential school system to be revealed. It's an amazing story of resilience in the face of dehumanization. All the best, Jane. Hope you wrote a sequel.

Excellent. Understated yet compelling read. simply told, the factual tone shows up the systemic injustice and prejudice of the 1950s.
