The story was OK but with a lot of gaps not filled in. The iternalised misogyny was distracting, probably normal for the time but did not add enjoyment. The plot was somewhat predictable. The ending was like the ending of an episode of a TV show- kinda amateurish.

I liked this 1970's children's fantasy when a young child.
