Magnificent. Strolling through this book is a joy. I bought the Kindle edition (easier /lighter to hold and easier to read - Kindle allows some enlargement). Use in the vertical screen mode.

The only constructive criticism I would offer is this: the writers/editors/publisher need to view this product from the USER’s viewpoint of ease of access (or lack there-of). On a Kindle -like platform one could have (but doesn’t in this case) the ability to search the book’s content at random for the plant or hort.problem in mind. If you know the word you want to look up, it is fairly easy to find. If you don’t, nothing beats the computer for random search ability. This would vastly improve the usefulness of this book. For a winter’s night by the fire dreaming of spring to come this book is truly marvelous. For quickly finding the information you need, not so much (at least so far I have not found this capability to be present). Hence 4 stars, not 5.

This is a detailed dictionary worthy of the title "Encyclopedia of Plants and Flowers".
The features of all Plants and Flowers are carefully explained with photos.

I think this book would be a good choice as a gift for someone who loves vegetable gardening.
In the afternoon, I was soothed by the pictures of nature.
