This will probably wound like typical rave review, but I don't care. Emery's elements is a lovely book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's very versatile, because it's suitable for students in various phases of their education. It's excellent for undergrads who are attending their first molecular genetics course; grad students will find the book useful for brushing up on the basics (and beyond) of genetics.

That's why the book is cleverly divided into three parts. The first one, "Principles of human genetics", encompasses a standard curriculum of a genetics course for an undergraduate student. The second and third parts, "Genetics in medicine" and "Clinical genetics", are that "beyond" I have mentioned earlier.
The book is well-written and easy to follow; there is little need to read a chapter multiple times to catch everything relevant. And as a bonus, the authors can be delightfully witty at appropriate times (i.e. when they are not describing symptoms of nasty hereditary diseases)

All in all, it's a great book, and I highly recommend it to everyone who will have/has had/is interested in molecular genetics.

That was like a nightmare. Only an enormous number of genes' names. I don't accept it as a reference book. 👎🏽

Genetics is more beautiful and fantastic than it described.
