K&S Securities #2

Acquiring Analise

Rate this book
Acquiring Analise is the follow up to Finding Faye, Book One in the K&S Securities Series and should not be read without reading in order.

Analise
He is all I've ever wanted, but let's be real.
A girl like me and a man like him?
I NEVER let myself dream that WE could ever be possible.
Until we were-
And nothing turned out like I had hoped.
What else was I supposed to do?
I ran.
I hid.
Until I didn't have a choice and I knew I HAD to go back.

Xavier
She is all I've ever wanted.
To acquire.
To possess.
To love.
In spite of who I am.
Especially in spite of who my family is.
But when I finally make her MINE it all goes to hell.
She runs.
She hides.
Until my family finds her.
They won't stop me from getting her back.

Possible triggers include kidnapping, physical assault and rough sex.

This is the second book in the K&S Securities Series. To have a better understanding of the book, is necessary read the previous one, Finding Faye.

I am surprised by the way Analise and Xavier aroused my interest to know their history. Both were part of the story of Travis and Faye. I admit that at first I did not care much about them but as I progressed in the previous reading, many questions were born, which aroused my curiosity to know more.

I loved Xavier. Despite having grown up with a mob father and lived the terrible experience of losing his mother at the hands of his own father, he decided to take a different path and be clean and free from the underworld. However, he will have to face his greatest enemy, even if he carries his own blood.

Analise was a lonely and inexperienced girl. Her wedding night was not what she expected and the lack of communication led her to make a decision that will put her in danger. From then on begins the adventure of these two. One that is full of action, sweet and steamy moments that will keep you wanting more.

You will be hooked with Analise and Xavier. Of their emotions, their passion, chemistry and love they profess.

I have to say that AJ Andersen is an author who promises to capture you with her writing and the depth of her characters. I can’t wait for Blake and Ellie’s story!

Well, here I am again. Writing my own first review!
I love Analise and her Xavier! Writing this follow up to Finding Faye was so much fun!
This story goes a little darker than Faye and Travis' story, so prepare yourself!
Acquiring Analise is available now for preorder on Amazon and will be dropping to Kindles on November 8th, 2019.
I hope you all love Ana and X as much as I do!

We met this couple in book 1 when the crossed over now its there turn.. and I enjoyed them so much!!

Ana has always dreamed and wished to be notice by Xavier since she know him and her dreams are coming true until the honeymoon.. lets say that night their was some rough sex with Xavier and her mind was all over the place and she didn't know how she felt about it. This had Xavier angry at himself for being rough so be distant himself to give his wife some space which she didn't want. And thinking he's regrets everything she runs away. This is were we see in book one how she befriends that h. Few chapters are kinda of simillar..

Until she meets up back with her hubby. And Xavier he isn't as mean as a mob boss is unless it's harming his woman, he doesn't let her out of his sight and he like a Dumbo says few words thinking her unborn child is another mans.. glad that was cleared up asap.. but they have bigger drama his uncle who wants to destroy him and human trafficking... we get more characters and couples..and the relationship grow between our Main couple and some side characters.

I do wish there was a time stamp every few chapters to find out how big Ana is? I was alil confused about that.

Low angst, No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

We go back to the K&S world, and now its about Analise and Xavier. X grew up in the bad mafia world, but he has always wanted to shy away from the bad part of it and make everything right, legitimate and live a good life with the love of his life Analise. It opens up with their wedding night, and this is her first experience with anything sexual but she wants it with Xavier but she becomes scared and miscommunications arise, and days later, she leaves. You read a little bit of her running away and how she meets Faye, in book 1, Finding Faye. But this is her story in her POV. We understand why she left, what she was feeling, and her relationship with X. Xavier wants to put an end to his horrible mafia uncle. He wants to protect everyone from him. But, his uncle is up to no good at all.

I loved seeing all the guys in K&S. Travis and Faye are still so in love, so sweet together. We see more of Blake and we meet Gray(X's best friend). This book had romance, steam, suspense and two future stories that'll most likely pop up in the future. I enjoy how the author writes the suspense, it literally keeps me on edge and its like I'm watching a movie unfold in my mind. So clear and concise. I can't wait for Blake's story and hopefully Gray!!!!!! This was definitely a hot, on edge, sweet read.

What can I say? Ana & Xavier were hot stuff! I loved the darkness in this story. The second half really took off with all the angst & adventure. A great read if dark romance is your thing. Can’t wait to read Nikki & Grayson’s book, especially after that cliffhanger ending. There is a hea by the way, you just get a little snippet here, setting you up for book 3.

I was super curious how the author was going to play this off with it being book 2 and us having already gotten quite a bit of Ana's story in book 1. I was pleasantly surprised that it opens in the past, before we meet her in Faye's book! Nice! However, once we get to chapter 7 the timing overlaps with book 1 so we see a lot of the same scenes (almost word for word) just in Ana's pov. I ended up skimming Ana's pov in chapters 7-12ish because I already knew how it was going to play out. But once I was past that the story moved along well.

I was happy to see that a majority of the alternating POVs between Ana and X didn't reiterate the same things (like book 1 did). That was a huge plus! To me, once the girl is undressed, leave her undressed. No need to go back and explain it all over again.

The storyline is an awesome one and delves into human trafficking where we meet a couple of new characters. (These characters already have a semi-established background that has me eager to get their stories!) I feel story zipped by in a matter of days because there really isn't a concrete timeline. Nothing that says "they returned 2 weeks later" or "three days had passed". We just read that Ana's belly keeps getting bigger, which caught me off guard because I'm picturing this as a 5 day ordeal. It's not.

There were a couple of things that didn't get tied up/answered for me that I feel would have been great little details to add in for closure.

*I read an uncorrected ARC so I'm not going to fault any spelling, grammatic, or punctuation errors. Hopefully they've all been fixed before it was available for purchase.

I've got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First of all, I didn't know whether to give this book a 4 or 5 stars. This book was also really good, but because some of it I already knew, it was not as intriguing for me. Where it became intriguing was from the 2nd half of the book. It was where the "retelling" of the first book ended and the lives of all of them continued. I liked that part and that is probably also why I have decided to give it 5 stars after all.

To be honest, I liked this book. It was as good as the first, but only because in the first book our precious Faye had to flee, hide away and then later on got beaten and in this book since Analise is pregnant she could not get herself in any of this (thankfully).

I liked the retelling sort of. I saw the story from a different POV and that was refreshing.

As much as Analise getting away from Xavier is justifiable it is also stupid. I mean, I get it, I really do. She was overwhelmed and wanted a love she thought she'd never get.

I also loved every other person in this book. I can't wait to read Ellie and Nikkie's stories. Ellie's being way different than Nikkie's and waaaay lighter! Okay, to be honest I'm more of excited to read Nikkie's because of the darkness.

Xavier? I kind of wish he was a little darker like his "mafioso" family, but I'm also glad he wanted to stay in "clear" of all illegal actions. At some points in the bookI was hoping that more of his broody character will show up and that he will get a bigger chance to show his fighting skills. Hopefully I'll see some of that soon enough.

Otherwise? Think book was really good. Lighter on one side than the first one. Enjoyable.

Oh also! We didn't get the names of their children! How come?! I don't know whether to be offended or just shocked, haha. I can't wait to read their names and get to know them more.

This is the second book in the K & S Security Series by A. J. Andersen and follows the events that happen on Finding Faye which is the first book on this series. So it recommend to read that story first so you don't miss anything about this incredible story and its amazing characters. From the very first page this book had me hook, Xavier and Analise are the perfect couple, regardless of the separation they had right after they got married, do to confusion and hidden feelings they didn't know how to communicate to each other. The story is super good and those sexy scenes were super hot, Xavier its the ultimate aloha male and he had me all swoon. Analise was the perfect sunshine that came to bring light into Xavier's dark life. There is action, adventure and mystery also that will have you gasping and in the edge because until the end of the book you really don't know whats going to happen. The side characters brought so much to the story and I think were also as important as the main characters. I definitely recommend this series so much and I can't wait for the next book.

FIVE STARS. This book is on FIRE. Analise and Xavier are the perfect couple. Their chemistry is so beautiful you can't help but love them. I can't praise Andersen's books enough. Heart stopping suspense, drama and Xavier has broody, bad boy down to a science. I am completely head over heels with the K&S Securities family. You will want to read the series in order and there may be triggers for some.

5 Brilliant Stars ❤️ Acquiring Analise is an incredible story of two people fighting their past and their bad families to make good in the world! I was hooked from page one. If you thought Finding Faye was amazing, wait until you read X and Ana’s story. I swooned over Xavier and I cheered for Analise. The steam was off the charts with these two, add in some seriously suspenseful stuff and some mob like action and you’ve got a jam packed story that you won’t ever want to put down! Acquiring Analise is a MUST READ! I cannot wait to read Nikki and Graysons story next! I’ll sit here gladly dangling off the cliff with bated breath until then 😉

Acquiring Analise was perfect! Andersen is such an amazing writer, creating characters with so much depth. Every emotion, every action is so easily felt. You can almost get lost in the characters thoughts and feelings, confusing them for your own. I really enjoyed reading about Xavier and Analise and living their life for a bit. We got to learn so much about who Xavier is and who he doesn't want to be. He is a dream. Besides being a steamy read, there were many intense, edge of your seat moments. As much as I wanted to get to the end, I didn't want to finish it. I look forward to getting to know more of the characters in future books. I would love to what AJ Andersen takes this series goes.

***please keep in mind there are trigger points in this book...rough intimate moments, kidnapping, and physical assault***

AJ Andersen’s second book in the K&S Securities Series is another draw you in and keep you on your toes read. After being introduced to Analise and Xavier in “Finding Faye” we follow their tumultuous love story in “Acquiring Analise”, and man oh man what an intriguing story it is.
Xavier is the son of a mob boss. He is nothing like his father, his life’s mission is to abandon the family business and make amends for what his father did. His one weakness - the beautiful, off limits, daughter of one of his father’s henchmen.
Analise is unique. Innocent in the ways of the world and protected (to a certain extent) from her father’s less than aboveboard tendencies and vices. The only positive thing in her life is the secret crush she has on a certain older boy who doesn’t even know she exists.
Years pass and Xavier’s interest does not wane, when the opportunity to make Analise his presents itself, he goes all in. Unfortunately fate steps in and rears its ugly head. Xavier and Analise are torn apart and brought back together again in an incredible series of events that will have you clutching your Kindle and reading furiously needing to see them get their happily ever after. TBR this fantastic five star read and enjoy.

This book is a standalone within the K&S Securities series. However, I highly recommend that you read the first book in the series to have a better grasp of the characters and the world built here.

The second I finished the last page, I messaged AJ Anderson to let her know how amazing this book was, how much I loved the world she has created and also to claim Grayson. (story for another time)

Each book in this series gets better and better. I can feel how much growth has occurred between the two books for this author.

Xavier and Analise’s story is quite a bit darker than the first in the series, but the storyline is beautifully written. There is plenty of angst and oh so sweet love.

I honestly love broody, damaged, protective alpha heroes and Xavier is a perfect one.

This book hold plenty of suspense and action along with tender romance and steamy passion.

You definitely need to get this series.

And as always from my reviews, my top quotes of the book:

“The barrier that I have kept around my heart since I was a boy falls to ash at her feet. I am wholly and completely at her mercy now.”

“I’ll do whatever it takes to earn her forgiveness and her love.”

With lots of crazy action and suspense, this book is a page turner you won’t be able to put down! Be ready for lots of highs and lows that’ll keep you on your toes with its intensity. Acquiring Analise is raw, gritty, emotional, sexy, steamy, and amazingly written! A.J. Andersen has definitely found her writing rhythm.

Analise is married off to Xavier, feeling like a pawn, yet attracted to him in a way she’s never been attracted to anyone else. He may have acquired Analise unconventionally, but he’s wanted her ever since he laid eyes on her. Unknowingly, they’re both what the other wants, and it’s that lack of communication that results in Analise running away. Now he won’t rest until he finds her and shows her how much he loves her.

Xavier may have mafia blood running through his veins, but he’s trying to distance himself from the illegal activities of his uncle and deceased father. He is every woman’s dream man...a book boyfriend that everyone will be vying to claim as their own!!

This story exceeded every expectation. We get a happy for now, but also a “holy crap” cliffhanger ending that sets things in motion for Book 3 that I’ll now be impatiently waiting for!

I received an ARC of Acquiring Analise (book 2 of the K&S Securities Series) in exchange for an honest review.
Solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love A.J.'s style, I am so invested in her characters which is a wonderful experience as a reader.
Ana picks up a bit before Finding Faye (book 1, read it NOW) starts, from Ana and Xavier's perspective, and goes through the events of book one until about half-ish into the book, which is nice and interesting to read, but it's what comes after that really grabs you.
Like any couple Ana and X face communication issues that cloud their relationship, top that up with X's mafia uncle chasing them and you've got a couple who is winning in the sweet, supportive, steamy category.
Xavier has so much darkness because of his family and I love how the struggle to be a better man for Ana resonates off the pages. That, more than anything, is what makes him a real man in my eyes and worthy of redemption and forgiveness. And Ana is such a badass, pregnant and still whips all the giant growly men without so much as blinking 👸👸
I loved this book, the way I got to delve deeper into the other characters of this universe in this one and the future prospects of the series.
As usual for A.J. - the sexy was hot, the action was packed and the story was wonderful.
It has it's rattling moments, I'll admit I cried and yelled in despair more than once, and it left me craving more.

Xavier and Ana

Absolutely Wonderful!!! Xavier Cerelli is nothing like his family. He is all 100% legil and legit. Except maybe for the way he was able to marry his wife.

Analise has always been around the Cerelli family and is thrilled to be married to Xavier... until their marriage night.

The second book in the K&S Securities Series is just ans intriguing and suspenseful and sexy as the first, Finding Faye. When Xavier finally gets his wife back on her way home the unexpected happens !! Will Xavier and Ana be able to get through the horrendous adventures that they will come into? I loved Xavier and Ana

This is the second book that I've read by this author and this is the second book in this series.

K&S Securities series #1 Finding Faye
K&S Securities series #2 Acquiring Analise

It follows on from the first book with familiar characters that we have met, this book is told from different points of view. I do highly recommend you read book one first so you know where your up to with everyone.

Analise has had things quite tough and has not really felt what it feels like to be really loved.
Xavier is a complete alpha male is in the mafia and has been for a very long time, although this is not what he wants, he doesn't want this life and his family are evil people. He knows his uncle is a monster too.
Analise married Xavier but they both have major communication problems between them both and this hinders their relationship so much so that she runs, its so difficult for Analise because shes also pregnant. Analise knows how to be strong when she needs to be and finds the strength inside. There world is a very dark place to be and very difficult and they don't want to be apart of it. They both come together and are just what each other needs. They both go through so much together, through some really hard moments and Xavier will do anything for her.

This book will keep you at the edge of your seat and will have your emotions all over the place up and down, its quite heart breaking in parts too.
The characters in this book are very well written and I really liked them, their chemistry they have fizzing between them both is off the charts, they are smoldering together, very hot, steamy and sexy. This book is action packed and very dark.

This book does overlap in the beginning parts with book one Finding Faye only told from Analise's and Xavier points of view and I did kind of feel like I already knew what was going to happen in some parts and that the book didn't really get going until a tad further in. This story was a really good story line that will have you biting your nails and reaching for the tissues.

I can't wait to read the next installment in this series with the new and old characters.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read a copy of this book.

Acquiring Analise is not only the second book to A.J. Andersen K&S Security Series, but also her second book written! Please read Finding Faye first because it sets up this amazing world.
☀️
When in a relationship you often hear communication is key, unfortunately Xavier and Analise did not receive the same advice when they got married and it spun off a series of events that we get to read about.
☀️
I personally love a good ‘oh come ON!’ Shaking their shoulders, get your act together book, where you become invested in the lives and emotions of the characters. Which is exactly what happened in AA. While you were yelling at them to knock it off, you could totally see where they are coming from. A lot of head shaking moments at the beginning, until they get their act together.
☀️
Xavier grew up in the Mafia, while having a world of experience, he had little to none with his heart. Analise grew up with a single mom then to a lower level Mafia member which essentially shelter her from anything real, anything of worth, and nothing of the heart.
☀️
While at their misfortune, it also brought an amazing relationship with new friends. Friends that help X fight the evils of his family.
☀️
X oh X. I love him. He can be a bad A. Kicking butt, shooting up, taking down his evil Family because he vowed to not live the Mafia life. But he can also feel so deeply. He is my kinda of Man! Distant to others, tall dark and handsome, commanding, alpha but oh so sweet to his lady. Only She gets to see the real him. Everything he does his really for her.
☀️
Analise since living with her father, has only felt the control of the Mafia and little love. While not necessarily being mistreated, she is invisible and controlled. She feels like she has no worth. So much so, that in her early 20s she hasn’t really lived. But when she needed to find her inner strength she found it. She became strong, and grew so much.
☀️
I have had the pleasure of reading AA at least twice. I have come to love it more and more each time. It is a story of two incomplete souls who come together, grow together, and love together. They become what was needed and missing from each others lives.
☀️
If you love drama, kick a men, their fierce women, and a plot to take down evil then read this book.
☀️
Be prepared, A.J. does take a dip into the dark seedy world of the Mafia. There is an event that if you don’t like sexual extortion and violence you might want to get ready for it. You’ve been warned!
☀️
A.J. Andersen’s growth as an author is outstanding. I have enjoyed witnessing it between Finding Faye and Acquiring Analise. I can not wait to see where this world takes us!

Which do you want more: your pride or your happiness? Sometimes you have to make a choice because you can't have them both at the same time. This battle between portraying an affectless exterior versus opening yourself up to emotional vulnerability is what lies at the heart of Acquiring Analise. Sometimes the hardest things to do in life are the leaps of faith and truth telling required when falling in love.

A.J. Andersen took a very unique approach when writing K & S Securities Series #2. The beginning of the book overlaps book #1 in the series and is told from Analise & Xavier's individual perspectives. I thought this was a wonderful way to learn more about these 2 characters and the events that lead them up to when we first met them in book #1. While there is overlap in timeline/story from book 1 it was minimal and not repetitive at all.

As with Finding Faye, Acquiring Analise is jam packed with emotion, action, sexy scenes, alpha males and strong females. We see the return of old favorites from Finding Faye and some groundwork was laid for several more stories in the series. There is never a dull moment when reading one of Andersen's books and I can't wait to see where she takes us next!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not gonna lie, this story made me cry more than once, the beginning broke my heart (You might want to stop reading but I promise don't give up on it because it's brilliant) They went through so much hurt and heartbreak and all they needed to do was communicate with each other, but they also needed to get to know each other on a more personal level. I loved it! This book starts up just towards the end of Travis and Faye’s story, and we get to know Ana and Xavier. They have phenomenal chemistry and scorching passion. The story is well paced and very well written and I can’t wait to read what happens next to the guys from K&S Security and their women.

So good!

What a powerful and moving read! I could hardly put it down once I started it. Another hit! This series is so good; I can’t wait to read the next one! Oh, and fair warning - cliffhanger! Gah!

I can't say enough about this book! I love a good, rough around the edges, stern alpha that doesn't take any crap! X and Ana have such a great chemistry and are great characters on their own. This book has many of the same secondary characters that we met in Book 1 of the series, and we continue to see them grow as well. I would definitely recommend this book! Can't wait for the next one in this series!
