It was Templar Academy or Juvenile Detention. But these bullies are making me wish I’d gone to jail.
Templar Academy is the perfect hiding place where I can make a fresh start. Where I can stop running from my drug-dealing ex.
I’m supposed to fit in, but it’s impossible. How’s a girl from foster care supposed to blend with ultra-wealthy elites? I can’t, and now I have a target on my back.
The knights who run the academy—Maxwell, Kendric, and Orlando—are determined to make my life hell. They’re cruel, vicious, and drop dead gorgeous. And they’re used to getting everyone to follow their lead.
But I won’t—and they’re determined to make me suffer. What they don’t realize is that I can give as good as I get.
Cruel Games is a reverse harem high school bully romance and the first book of the Templar Academy trilogy. It contains cursing, dark themes, and sexual situations.
where the bloody hell is the rest of the plot? this one was super choppy and at some points didn't even make a lick of sense. and then you throw some plot twists and expect me to forget about the missing points in this?
no ma'am.
other than that i'm pretty much on board with this series i'm just a bit disappointed in the lack of consistent plot.
Reverse Harem Bully romance ✔️ Kick ass heroine ✔️ Characters you want to throat punch ✔️ Unexpected jaw dropping cliffy ✔️
The only thing that bothered me slightly was I wished that there had been more of the romance aspect between Lilah and the guys.
I enjoyed it and am planning on reading the next one. I am sat hear with my jaw on the floor after that ending and I need to know what happens. Lilah is going to kill some people 🤣
Delilah Hancock is a 17 yo girl being released from juvenile detention for stabbing her 27 yo boyfriend, Sammy. A man she has been living with since she was 15 after running away from the foster care system. She arrives home one day to find Sammy & her BFF having an affair, things went sideways and Sammy hit Lilah. So, she stabs him with a paring knife, shoved him down the stairs to the basement, and leaves the door open so the police can find his marijuana grow-house.
The charges are dropped with the capture & arrest of Sammy. Lilah’s social worker informs her that she has an opportunity to attend boarding school in Scotland and the headmaster wants to meet with her. The social worker drops Lilah off at Sammy’s house to gather her things. She later returns with the headmaster who swiftly carries Lilah off to Scotland without introduction after one of Sammy’s friends breaks into the house to attack her.
Lilah is only at the prestigious boarding for a hot second before she is enthralled with three older boys, Orlando, Maxwell, & Kendrick. The latter two are twins. These boys are so hot that Lilah’s panties are instantly soaked and she wants to f*ck them. 🙄
At dinner, the boys play nice and introduce her to the queen bee of the school, Elizabeth. The typical snotty, holier-than-thou, rich bitch. Lilah basically dismisses her. So, Elizabeth turns around and puts a target on her back, announcing her as the school’s whipping girl. 🙄
Some very minor bullying happens.
Lilah forms a friendship with a boy, Gideon. They wind up going to a club together in Glasgow.
At the club, Orlando & Maxwell get frisky with Lilah. She finds out they are planning to make a sex tape with her to get Lilah expelled. The three of them get into their limo and continue their heavy petting and making out. Lilah is so desperate for release, she’s willing to let these boys f*ck her. No matter the consequences. Then, back at the dorm, Lilah turns the tables on them and beats them at their own game.
Maxwell & Orlando get suspended for lewd behavior. Meanwhile, Lilah has gone all psycho. She puts Lilah to the whole school during dinner service about her family secrets. Then, assaults Lilah at Tailoring Club.
Maxwell & Orlando come back to school just in time for another outing in Glasgow. Lilah allows their hands all over her body, wanting to f*ck them right there.
Then, that’s where I stopped bc I could not roll my eyes anymore without causing an injury.
I gave the book ⭐️⭐️ bc the storyline had potential.
My assessment:
1) This book was missing something major….A PLOT! 2) For a bully romance, this book was subpar. Lilah gets soup poured down her neck and called a couple of rude names. 3) All the drama that happened was rapid fire and presented in a “brushed aside” type of way. Elizabeth spilling Lilah’s secrets to the whole school should have been super significant, but the story just quickly moved on from there. Lilah finding out the headmaster is her grandfather….SIGNIFICANT!!! No real emotion connected to anything happening, though. Lilah basically shrugs her shoulders and moves on to the next problem. 4) Lilah wanting f*ck these three boys the second she lays eyes on them. Come on!!! The girl has only been with one man. She’s 17. But now she’s some sex addict for strange boys???? 5) Every character interaction was forced. Instant attraction. Instant hate from the queen bee. Zero emotion involved in any of it. 6) Lilah kept mentioning the Velvet Lounge and apparently 4 girls perished in a fire or something. Did I miss something??? I understand it was a nightclub, but it didn’t seem significant to the story. 7) What is with all the licking of lips!!! The gesture was so repetitive throughout the book. I wanted to hand everyone some damn chapstick!!! 8) The cover is very misleading
All in all, I didn’t jive with the story or the author’s writing style. It was super choppy. I will not be reading book 2.

Wow, this book wasn’t that bad as others I read but dang. That chick Elizabeth is just horrible, and the thing is... Maxwell, Kendrick, and Orlando. It is just a horrible like ugh!!!
Lilah knew all along that all three of the guys were gunning for her. But they got her when her ex Sammy and her step-father Billy popped up at that fashion thing! The crazy thing was I for sure thought it was Kendrick who was looking out for her. Smh 🤦🏽♀️ the whole time it wasn’t even Kendrick, it was Maxwell. Like OMG! He also had (temporary tattoos) so that they could get at her. I don’t understand why they hate Delilah so much. I can’t wait to figure out their reason.
Smh! I am going to read the next book though I’ll have to wait until 2021 to get the third book. Because this crazy. But at least, in the end, Maxwell got locked up too, especially with what all four of them done with Lilah!!!
I have read a a lot of bully romances but this one was very different. Twist and turns everywhere, like for some reason I could sense lilah’s paranoia. This book has a lot of intense bully but lacking in the romance. I did not feel any chemistry between the male leads and our heroine.
There were thing I didn't like, this the 4. "Stripping Kendrick was fun" , really fun is the word choice? And the use of "shag" over n over. The detail was great at times yet very much lacking at others. The reason for the bullying was never clear. So it was a good story that fell short in many areas.
Enfim, a história progride.
I found the story interesting, but most of all I likes how the main character was realistic. I have read a lot of books from this genre, and most of the female protagonists are hurt and damaged, but they still keep their innocence and good heart ladada(a stereotype for this type of books) This one was also hurt, but she was relatable. It was shown what different situations do to you, how they change you, how you start relying on yourself, how you become a little manipulative, how you move logically. Many books claim their female main character is all that, but they still try to make the protagonist as perfect, morally correct and ideal as possible. In reality, if a person goes through many hardships they surely won't be all that and will be impacted in a negative way.
Another thing I liked were the interests of the female lead ( fashion design and something else I can't remember). They are unusual and I still haven't read a book that has included them; it usually is reading, studying, drawing. I related to that. I also think that this book showed bullying for what it really is, not some measly cheerleaders tripping and slapping other people.
I enjoyed it very much and can still remember it. Because I read books like this for 2-3 days and directly move to another one, they usually blend together, and the only thing I remember is the cover of the book. This was no the case. I remember this one really well, so I encourage anyone who wants to keep reading books from this genre, but wants a breather and something different from the usual new-girl-with-dead-parents-is-all-alone- and-very-broken, very-mean-and-spoiled-girls-are-bullying-her-because-of-the-hot-guys-that-take-an-ineterst-in-her

Extremely disappointed. This was probably the least “harem” RH I’ve read.
Pros: Interesting (if a bit “out there” storyline)
Cons: Shallow surface level characters that do not show much (if any) growth or change over the course of the series. The guys are AWFUL. They do things to her that are honestly unforgivable, but she falls for them anyway I was really anxious to see how the author redeemed them…spoiler alert: she didn’t. Standing by while the FMC is being picked on and bullied is one thing, actively participating in a plot that ends up with dubious “consensual” sex is entirely different. And the guys show zero remorse for what they did…I just…the relationship between them isn’t believable and never grows.
The ending was rushed. Completely. I was 93% finished with the third book and wondering if I’d missed a fourth…it’s almost as if the author just got bored with the story and slapped together an ending that was both unsatisfying and unbelievable. All of a sudden we are 18 months in the future and she’s in happy relationships with all three of these horrible guys…how? What happened? The conclusion to the plot the author spent 3 books spinning was literally glossed over in a couple of paragraphs, and answered virtually no questions.
All in all, I was very disappointed. Definitely wasted my time but at least I’m 3 books closer to my reading goal for 2022.

HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!! WOW THIS BOOK WAS INTENSE! I was consumed from the first page and as the story went on it was like a rollercoaster ride I didn't want to get off of. All the conniving and backstabbing at times made me question who was actually the bad guy or girl here. Poor Lilah has lived a hard life thank to her drug addict mother, then throw in an extremely violent psycho drug dealing stepfather and she's lucky she's still alive. Then throw in foster care and then a pedofile drug dealer and it's a wonder she's managed to stay sane but thankfully it's made her stronger but not necessarily smarter. When a mystery woman shows up things become a whirlwind of chaos and questions. As secrets start to become revealed I was completely blown away. Then the suspense gets so intense it left me jittery wondering what else could these people do to this girl. And then HOLY FREAKIN MOLY! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! I LOVED every minute of it. And the revenge Lilah gets on Orlando and Maxwell had me cracking up. The cliffhanger ending had me screaming NOOOOO! Lol. I can't wait to start the next book. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE!
3.75? Delilah sent her step dad to prison for dealing coke. She also stabbed her ex boyfriend Sammy for cheating on her. In the process she made sure his weed basement door was left open so he was out in jail - didn’t happens. She did some jail time tho. She got sent to an academy after jail where she finds out the headmaster is her grandpa. Elizabeth is an heir and instantly hates Delilah because she’s jealous. Max and Kendrick are twins and their bestfriend is Orlando.
Orlando and max try to get her expelled but she over hears there plan of a sex tape. They end up getting suspended tho! Kenderick wants to be her friend so he can game her trust - he’s a virgin.
At the fashion show Sammy and her step dad end up showing up. Elizabeth is behind it. Max pretends to be Kendrick when he saves the day. She ends up sleeping with him and then the police show up looking for coke that’s in her bag. She finds out then that she slept with max!
The idea for the book is great The story and cliffhanger arent bad but there is zero consistency in the main characters personality. Tough as nail takes no BS but flip flops back and forth over trust. The character makes decisions that are absurd for the person they were built up to be. The writing is frustrating and condescending in places describing things a reader should be more than aware of. If the character building and actions had been better thought out it would be good The villain of the story is absurd the actions wouldn’t carry and it’s very clear the outcome of the story half way through book 1
This book had me hooked from the beginning. Lilah’s take-no-shit attention has gotten her in trouble from the first page to the last. Trouble that has her on the run from her stepfather and ex boyfriend to Scotland. That is where she meets Orlando, Maxwell, and Kendric. The chemistry between them is electric but the hate is stronger. This book is filled with several bullying and manipulation situations that any other normal person would break from but Lilah doesn’t. This story ends on a shocking cliffhanger.
I needed something light to read after a very heavy book I finished last night. I came across this series and decided to start reading. It was a very easy read…it seemed like there was much more bullying from a female character than from the boys. The female main character has not formed her harem, yet, but you know who the members will be. It ends on a cliffhanger, but it’s a finished series, so no need to wait to find out what happens next.
Wow I loved reading this, it was really interesting and quite funny, I love lilah she’s so funny, strong and smart, the boys well I want to like them but at the moment they are making me angry but can’t deny their hotness lol. Anyway awesome story so far and very interesting definitely recommend it.
What a mind *uck of a book. A girl more or less abused, a drug dealer stepfather, ex boyfriend was too. She turned them both in and now they want revenge, add mean girl and vicious boys at her school and you have a crazy mix. I'm thinking that mean girl is related to her, wouldn't it be grand if she booted mean witch to become the heiress?
I really enjoyed this book. FmC is amazing she definitely not a push over. Or scared to be herself surrounded by rich @ss holes.. there is a twisted journey taking place and i can't wait to see what happens. It is a darker read. *rape, abuse, drugs, the billing is also on the darker side. Its not just name calling so be warned.*
This series appears to have everything dark secrets, sassy badass heroine, hot sexy smart mouth bully boys and villain that is psychopath. This story has me hooked figuring out all mysteries and secrets there are to uncover. This cliffhanger has me on edge of my seat waiting for book two in the series.
I love when the female MC is tough and doesn’t take any crap, but can still be vulnerable. Lilah was all that and more! And the edge she walked with the bullies... so deliciously flirtatious, but dangerous. I can’t wait for Book 2!!!!
Such a fabulous book. It was sexy, turbulent, thrilling, naughty, hot, outrageous, dirty, funny (a lot of Delilah's acerobic comments) Loved the clever, confident ballsy heroine Delilah....I want to be friends with her! Really
There was nothing original about this story... I wished the guys were stronger, definitely not alphas... the female MC was okay I guess.. the main bully was the same bully that’s in every single book written ... I found myself skimming chapters to get through it
I picked this up this book not thinking this would turn out the way it did. I really loved it. Delilah is working against her life. Struggling to rise from where she from and who she is from.
The boys are not helping to get to where wants to be.
That freaking ending !?! I didn’t even see that coming 😱 seriously such an amazing start to a series I’m already addicted too! Like I can’t even get over that ending ... freaking Elizabeth!! Idk how you could be that horrible. I’m hoping for something good for Lilah!
This book was flipping amazing! I could NOT put it down. I am new to this author, and i am so happy i gave her a chance! I mean damn! ❤ i cannot wait to read thw next.
I’m not sure if I liked the book but that cliffhanger was something, I have to move on to the second book. I don’t know what’s going on with the guys or who’s she’s gonna end up with but holy heck I was blindsided. The ending guys!
