She moved on from her old crush. Then she realized that he’s her new doctor.
Cat Hernandez has an up-and-coming dance studio in quaint, coastal Clementine, Alabama. She has escaped the unpleasantness of her past and is happy with her new life.
An unexpected encounter with her former crush sends Cat’s orderly life into a tailspin, leaving her questioning if she should trust her heart or her head. Chase Brooks, a.k.a. Dr. Blue Eyes, is even more attractive now than he was when they were kids with his easy grin and adorable dimple. Too bad he’s unavailable!
As sparks kindle to a burning flame, Cat feels the menace of something unseen closing in around her, resurfacing old insecurities. Can Cat and Chase build a lasting relationship, or will the bonds of the past forever keep them apart?
A note from Jennifer: I'm enjoying co-writing this series with Craig Depew, my friend who also happens to be my family doctor.
Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer’s opinion there are few ills that can’t be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where “everybody knows everybody.” Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has a BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.
Romance clean. Series but stand alone read While a cute story i was hoping for a little more. This had the potential to be a very good read. There just wasn't the little extras that make you want to savor and re-read the novel.
I loved everything about it. The characters were great, the chemistry was great and there was a little suspense thrown in. I really enjoyed the medical aspect and the accuracy of the information. This is a sweet, clean romance.
This book tells the story of a young girl who defends a classmate against a bully in grade school. What follows is their journey to find their HEA. You don't want to miss this one! Cat and Chase will steal your heart!
I was captured from the outset and remained glued to my iPad to the last page. Drew was a perfect villain. As for the hero and heroine, it is hard to beat Carmelita Andrea Anastasia Hernandez and Chase Brooks. There were enough twists and turns in the storyline to keep things interesting. I admit that when it got a little suspenseful, I suspected one of two people as the source of that suspense. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It was not one, but BOTH of these characters who created the anxiety. Dancing with the Doc is a delightful, clean reading experience and earns a five-star award from me.
Cat and Chase have known one another since grade school! She even came to his rescue when Drew and two of his henchmen had him on the ground at the bus stop one day. Then something amazing happened! She noticed a piece of paper that looked it was caught in the knot hole and wandered if it was Chase's from the day before when Drew threw all his papers out of his backpack. Nope it was addressed to her!? Only who wrote it? Find out by reading this great story by Jennifer Youngblood. You wont believe how things turn out!😉
Cat had a rough life, beat down a bully, but ended up dating him, even though he was a cheater. When she broke up with him, he hurt her and she escaped thanks to her awesome neighbor! She drove as far as she could, but her car broke down in Clementine, and she stayed. Now, Chase, her childhood crush is in Med School and working at the nearby hospital. I was super surprised by the twist! I loved the ending!
A fast, sweet, and delightful book. I loved the doc thing. He's not a doc yet and reunites with a long lost love. Finding the real hero who put the letters in the tree. Just a sweet clean book. The whole mommy thing kind of bugged me but I understand. My dad passed away due to cancer and I call him daddy, so I get it.
She’s a young girl but already loves a hero, but a mix up causes her to date the wrong guy. After he threatens her she runs away. Years later after successfully opening a dance studio she meets up with her original hero but a ex girl friend causes trouble. But her hero comes to the rescue.
Cute sweet romance with a dash of intrigue. The main characters are very sweet though there were moments when I didn't care as much for the hero, until he ended things permanently with his girl friend. After that he was great.
Possible triggers: attempted rape, abuse in a relationship
Sex: no Language: no Violence: attempted rape, hitting a woman
This is a very interesting book about Cat and Chase. There is also some suspense in this book. Jennifer did an excellent job toward the end of the book with the suspense. I enjoyed reading this book very much. Good job on writing.
I found this to be a cute story. I did figure out who Hero was long before it was revealed, and I didn't care for the fact that while Chase was attracted to and wanting to date Cat, he still kept his girlfriend. He seemed a bit immature.
So many twists and turns to keep Chase and Cat apart! Yet the bond and attraction they share is undeniable. Her feisty spunk dances the way into his heart. While his caring, compassionate manner soothes her soul. So fun to watch the adventures that bring them together.
From the beginning there were surprises in the storyline. Like what would you expect a little girl in her pretty brand new dress do when coming upon a shady situation? Not the obvious. This was a sweet book with a little mystery twist. I did not see it coming! It was that well written. Fun story. Cat had been thru a lot and it was good to see her have a happy ending. Chase knew what he wanted and went for it. Got to appreciate that! They really made a great couple who worked thru the problems they had. Rating: PG/PG-13, clean, wholesome values.
A cute story which spans childhood to adulthood. Cat is portrayed as a firebrand, but still capable of making mistakes. Unfortunately, she becomes a doormat to the one person she should not, and I was not happy with how it was left. There were other actions she could have taken with Drew and not be the victim and never was. Chase is adorable, but completely oblivious to miss who Amber is.
This was such a lovely story of finding your first love after going through a bad relationship and leaving town and starting anew. Cat fled Chicago after her ex boyfriend beat her up and ended up in Clementine, AL. Six years later with her own dance studio she works part time at the Magnolia. Chase is doing his rural care rotation when he sees the girl stood up to a bully in elementary school for him. Can she really find her more writing hero after all.
A touching story of facing and overcoming heartaches. The characters quickly charmed me and drew me in to the romance and suspense of this story. I loved the young Cat and Chase and cheered for them as they see each other again as young adults. I always enjoy visiting Clementine, Alabama!
I started reading it, and couldn't put it down. This is another wonderful series by this amazing author. I love all of her books and get them as soon as they come out. I loved Cat and Chase's story and happy to hear about Harper and Dr. Dreamy. I highly recommend this series.
Though this is a light read, the story of Cat's losses and the tragic relationship in her going adult years shows her strengths. When she has recovered from the harmful times and making a new !ife, she walks into a very chance meeting with someone who can make her a very happy young woman!
This is an amazing and breathtaking love story with endearing and sassy characters that will definitely touch and steal your heart as they journey towards their happily ever after.
A predictable plot. Heroine had sense enough to run from an abusive relationship. Found a town of her dreams to live and dance. When bully found her years later, she was saved by the hero. Enjoyable read with happy ending
I really liked this story as you thought you were reading a usual romance, when the suspense started to happen within the story. I was not expecting it and it was a nice surprise.
Such a fun book to read. I really enjoyed this 3 book series each involving a doctor. Even though this is book #2, I read it last. This story is so touching as two friends from the past happen to meet up again and old feelings come to life. Such pleasant reading.
