It was fascinating to learn about these comedy greats and I loved the analysis and survey of works of the artists. There was a rich selection of stills and photos as well.
Kind of offended that the author threw in two sentences about Mae West at the end to cover a "lady of comedy" and basically said her contribution was bringing sex to the screen. The author did say that another volume would be needed to do justice to all the great comediennes.
