This was a funny yet interesting account of being a preachers kid in the late 1800's and 1900's. The author was the youngest of five children so it was nice to read how her upbringing was somewhat different from her siblings who ranged from 10-4 years older than her. I always like these books that tell what life was like in a different era. This book did not disappoint me❤️
Very old-fashioned and delightful. Nobody writes books like this anymore and libraries have discarded them. They still have value as a window into a particular way of life in the not-so-distant past.
This book was published in 1973 so life as a preachers daughter would be much different than even when I was growing up. I too was raised going to the Methodist Church. Edith Patterson was the youngest of the 5 children in this family. She tells of the joys and problems of being a family with the father a preacher as they grew up in a New England Parsonage.
