The Dank Courts #4

Queen of Monsters

Rate this book
The battle may be over, but the war is far from won.

Poseidon has emerged, and things are about to get crazy. With some new problems on the horizon for the entire Nightmare Courts, Gogo and Cetus are in a precarious position with their own Courts…and where they sit in the mess of all of it. The Hobgoblin queen is making a play for inclusion, the Light Courts are on the rise and the animosity between two gods, one dark, one ‘light,’ is overwhelming.

But surprises are cropping up, in the form of mythical treasure, and it’s up to the Nightmare Courts to find it, to help bring their respective houses to a glory they should have had since the beginning---because the light Courts are working against them overtime.

And with Poseidon still working behind the scenes, nothing is easy. Gobeth, Cetus and her guard have their work cut out for them, because by the end of this ordeal, gods will be dead, secrets will be revealed, and a queen will rise, along with her monsters.

EPIC! In Queen of Monsters, Gogo and her guys grow even closer. Faerie is changing and Gogo is part of that. In this installment there are battles, treasure, and most of all love. This is a fantastic addition to the series.

Amazing ending to the series!!!

The ladies have done it again. Gogo grew even more with her powers and with her relationships with her guard and king. New info comes to light. Lovely battle scenes. Amazing ending to Gogo’s series.

Princess Gogo and her King

Still dealing with the post goblin and troll war Gogo and Cetus utilize the guard and other courts to help find some resolution. With Poseidon and the Light Court trying to take over, the vendetta between Poseidon and Cetus still alive and Gogo trying to merge more into the human world with her designs everyone is busy and stressed. Thankfully Gogo’s guard manages the impossible along with her King.

Mighty Magics, Small Miracles, Gods and Monsters

This final part of the Dank Courts series was great fun. It tied everything together brilliantly. I continue to love Gogo and her fantastic earth magic, that brings faerie back to life. I love the little details in these book, like the giant snail that is treated as a pet and the glow worms that come to Gogo when she calls. It’s these details that really bring books to life and I adore them.

The characters in this book are great, and there was much more about the the courts that haven’t yet been covered in the series such as Alyx and Senara, who are both slowly adding guards. I really hope that they are covered in the future and have their own series, because both characters are intriguing, as are their guards/potential guards.

So much happened, plot-wise, in this book, that you get completely sucked in. There are battles and alliances, politics, gods and monsters, mighty magics and small miracles. It’s wonderful read, and I highly recommend it, but you need to read everything from The Sleeping Court onwards to enjoy it properly. I recommend you do so, because the whole thing is amazing from Book 1 onwards.

The Dank Courts has been one thrill ride after another, Gogo, Cetus and the Guard are up again Poseidon and they are not going to let him win. With their love, help from the other Courts, Alyx and her new Guards and a few surprises they show us what love can do. This final book in the Dank Courts is legendary, fun, fascinating and down right in your face bloody. I loved all the new characters we met and I hope we get to see more of our favorites.

On a side note, do you ever run into something, or someplace, mentioned in a book and wonder if it exists? That's what these authors do; they bring real places to their books to make them even more interesting. The one that stuck out to me is the Borth Forest. You'll have to read to the story to see what happens but it is wondrous.

A fantastic end to an epic quest

I have read all three in the Nightmare Court series now and each book gets better. The characters richer and the storylines filled with so much it leaves you begging for the next series. The books are hard to put down and leave you craving the next piece to the meal.
The descriptions of the scenes are rich but leave you able to create the world in your head. The character interactions make you want to spend time with them in the real world. I anxiously await the next series but truthfully am waiting with baited breath to read Alyx's story, she hooked me with her appearances throughout this series.

Every time I pick up one of these books I’m immediately sucked into this amazing world. Gogo and her men are still dealing with revelations and Poseidon’s douchery at the front. I love, love all the places we get to visit through this last book of Gogo’s Court. Really enjoyed all the new creatures of legend we were introduced to. All our Princesses and their Guards join in the story and the authors started hinting at where our new Princesses stories may be headed. Sad to end this part, but I know it’s not the last time we’ll see our Queen of Monsters.

Oh yes!

Queen Gogo and her men and of course her new King! I love reading about her and her guard and King. There are battles, there are new Princesses finding their way all while Faiery is coming alive again! You don't want to miss the 4th book of the Dank Courts! I look forward to reading the next group about Prince Aziz.

Riveting

This being the 4th book in the Dank Court story is the best one yet. The magic, surprises and love makes it a moving story. Gogo, her king and her guards prevail with their strength and a boost of her magic to defeat evil.
