Strong positives: Very useful information on what foods do and not freeze well, suggestions for how best to package food for freezing, a table with recommended spices both for meats and other foods and the best substitution tables I've ever seen.
Negatives: First, from the title I was expecting plans for cooking one day of the week resulting in a week's worth of meals. Instead, the book provides tons of recipes that can be made ahead with clear guidance on fridge and freeze options. So, no help on the planning front. Second, the recipes simply weren't appealing with an emphasis on convenience ingredients as a time saver and not a lot of flavor in the recipes. They sound very 1980s (when the book was published).
Overall, the reference material in the book is so strong that I will look for a used copy to purchase.
