Pamela Colman Smith, also nicknamed Pixie, was an artist, illustrator, and writer. She is best known for designing the Waite-Smith deck of divinatory tarot cards for Arthur Edward Waite.

This is one of the oddest books in my collection. The whole work that went behind it is to be appreciated: the author lived in Jamaica, collecting the folk tales and then illustrating them herself.
Great job on that. The language is also phonetically transcribed jamaican accent which makes it an even odder and more entertaining read.

It is always the book that comes to mind whenever I see the filmmaking industry blackwashing european folklore for diversity reasons. Like, someone take this book with original folklore from POCs and turn it into a series. It's not that hard, they just don't know where to look. Or don't care. I am oblivious to their reasoning and motivation behind such choices.

Almost a perfect title, though I feel there are still some stories left untold.
