From USA Today bestselling author K Webster and Nikki Ash comes Stolen Lies: a romantic suspense.
My life was brutal, horrific, ruthless. Dark. Until a beautiful bride was dragged into my life. I took her as my prize and made her mine. Vengeance never tasted so sweet. I see her truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for a woman who makes me weak. She can try to run, but I have no intention of ever letting her go. I wanted to marry for hate, but it looks like hate is a lie.
*Stolen Lies is the gripping conclusion in the Truths and Lies Duet*

Let me start off by saying that this is Book two in a duet (Hidden Truths) and is the conclusion to this story.
Stolen Lies opens a year after Hidden Lies left off. After that crazy cliffhanger in the last book
So, to say that I was looking forward to reading this one is putting it mildly.
Kostas hits rock bottom with all the endless dead-end he keeps enduring in his pursuit to find his wife.
In book 1 we had met a sweeter side to Talia Downright innocent in most peoples eyes , in this installment we see a completely opposite side of her.
In the beginning of this book. I saw myself. Flipping from page to page couldn’t get enough of this couple. And all the dark things that happened in between the pages, then I believe it was something like around 72%, or something like that. And it just felt stale. Forced. And then it started to really drag on.
I want to thank my friend for recommending this book to me, but maybe it was just the mood that I was in, but I just could not see four or five stars like everybody else. With that said I would like to remind you that this is just my opinion. And there is No way that I would discourage you from reading this book or any other book. Happy reading. I had high hopes for this one. So much potential wasted... oh well on to the next book
I think I finished this book within 30 minutes. I can summarize this book for you so you don’t even have to waste 5 minutes on this one.
So Aris is our villain here. He has kidnapped Talia and her baby Zoe, yes she has a baby and she told him its his to keep the baby safe. In the same Island as Kostas for a year and NO ONE FIGURED THAT OUT. Kosta apparently has done everything as this point to find her but always came up with nothing. No clues to where Talia is.
The whole one year he never once visited his brothers new mansion because he was too busy getting drunk and looking for Talia, who all this time was in the same Island as him. And one day Kosta decides “Hey you know what I should stop drinking and let my sober brain figure out where Talia might be” Then Sober Kosta “ARIS! Why have I never suspected him? I think I should finally go and visit his new mansion” so he goes and Aris I dont even know what to call her? His fuck buddy? Talia calls her Maid. The women’s name is Selene, she opens the door and tells Kosta Aris isn’t here come back later. On his way back to his car Talia see’s him and screams his name HE TURNS AND LOOKS AT HER THINKS ITS TALIA’S GHOST AND WALKS AWAY.
Then later he comes back again because he suddenly just suspects Aris again and looks through the window again and see’s Talia. Blah blah blah saves her and she finally tells him everything about the rape and what all nonsense Aris had been feeding her. By this time Selene and Aris have suddenly escaped and then Kosta is looking for them. Zoe gets kidnapped. Again Kosta is looking for them. Finally finds Zoe and Selene, kills Selene and now is looking for Aris. Blah blah they finds Aris and Talia goes bat shit crazy on him. He dies. The end.

Kostas is full of alcohol, anger, and grief when Stolen Lies opens a year after Hidden Lies left off. His beloved is still missing, and there have been exactly zero leads since the day she disappeared. He doesn't want to believe Talia left on her own or that she's dead, but both are possibilities he has started to consider.
Eventually, Kostas decides to sober up. He recognizes that he can't be the leader he needs to be drunk out of his mind, and he won't find his wife at the end of a liquor bottle. That's when he discovers new information that leads him to commit an act of violence that changes everything.
Stolen Lies is a fantastic conclusion to the Truth and Lies duet by K Webster and Nikki Ash! It's action packed, gory, steamy, and full of violence. What more could you want from a mafia romance? The authors pulled off another seamlessly written captivating read that gave me everything I wanted! There are a couple of scenes in this one that I'll never forget, and I'm sure you won't either. 😉
Wow! What a book!!! This has been the first book since the pandemic has caused chaos in our world that has captivated my attention! For that alone, this story deserves recognition!!! I was literally on the edge of my seat for a large part of Sunday while I read this!
K. Webster and Nikki Ash have partnered up to deliver a dark, violent, suspenseful and sexy tale. My biggest warning regarding the dark theme is.... don’t take it lightly! There are some pretty gruesome scenes, which even shocked me... and believe me it isn’t easy to shock me!!
I loved the conclusion of Talia and Kostas marriage... The whole story comes together brilliantly ! I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that I highly recommend this dark and gritty duet!
My life was easy, simple, fun. My life was brutal, horrific, ruthless. Light. Dark. Until I got wrapped up with the wrong people. Until a beautiful bride was dragged into my life. Nothing but a piece of property to pay for the sins of my father. I took her as my prize and made her mine. I’m to be married off to a handsome monster. Vengeance never tasted so sweet. I see his truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for the enemy. I see her truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for a woman who makes me weak. He won’t let me escape, but I’m not sure I want to. She can try to run, but I have no intention of ever letting her go. I wanted to marry for love, but it looks like love is a lie. I wanted to marry for hate, but it looks like hate is a lie.
This was the perfect conclusion to this duet! My head was spinning the whole time wondering what was going to happen next. Kostas is the sweetest ruthless monster and Talia is a badass mafia queen.
I’m not sure what to say, other than holy blood lust! The second half of the Truths and Lies duo was spectacular. This was a gloriously gory and steamy mafia romance that frankly left me swooning for a self-described monster that showed his vulnerable side without ever seeming weak.
When the first book in the duo ended, Talia, wife of Greek mafia king Kostas Demetriou, had been kidnapped. As Stolen Lies began, she had been gone for a year and Kostas was mad with grief. Realizing the depths he felt for his bride, it was heartbreaking to watch a man so strong and vital be struck so low. But when Talia is reunited with Kostas, that’s where the true action in the story begins. Talia often compared herself to Proserpina and Kostas to Pluto, the god of the underworld trying to keep his beloved in hell. This Roman story is the perfect analogy for so many of the juxtapositions in the book. Kostas and Talia may reside at the beaches and resorts of Greece, but the underbelly of society was always present in the shadows and cellars and basement torture rooms. Not usually a fan of blood and gore, but not shying away from it either, I actually liked that the violence in this story showed the darkness of their nature while the love and protectiveness that Kostas felt towards his family showed his better angels. This story had an undeniable dark and gritty undercurrent that was unmistakable no matter how sunny the scenery. Talia herself started out as the sunshine to Kostas’ darkness until he pulled her down into the underworld with him and made her love it as much as he did. In turn, she pulled him up into the light, turning the monster into a man.
This was duo was really a gripping, fabulous story. Just not for the squeamish. You’ve been warned!
Truths and Lies duet might as well have been one book instead of two. Although it was well written as the previous one, the storyline and plot were extended as to create more angst in order to catch the reader’s attention and fill the pages.
I liked the previous one better. The beginning was so good. I was inhaling the words inorder to know how what happened after the cliffhanger in book 1. And the author didn’t disappoint. The scene where Kostas finds (effing finally) Talia was the highlight of the book. I got goosebumps reading that. It was after that, the book went downhill for me. Somehow Kostas faded in to the background infront of the villain. It wasn’t fun to read where he was constantly defeated or thwarted. It made him look a little less cunning and devious than villain. Don’t get me wrong, I love this hero. His love and devotion for the heroine and his strong loyalties was a thing of beauty but in war, he faded. Loved the epilogue. Recommended and safe.
“Even monsters have their limits. Monsters can’t be monsters all the time.”
Book 2 picks up a year after the major cliffhanger of book 1, one that made me dived into book 2 immediately because I was keen to know the conclusion to Kosta & Talia's story.
In book 2 Kostas goes through a lot of pain and Talia’s bearings occur discouraging. Nonetheless, when Kostas gets out of his head, his wrath is brutal and bloody.
When Kostas learns who the back stabber is, it does not matter to him who he needs to kill in order to keep his loved ones save. He will do what is necessary, whatever it takes.
In book 1 Talia is a sweet, innocent but sassy spoiled "Sunshine", who evolves to a fierce Mafia Queen besides her psychopath Mafia King. “You and me, Kos. We’re a team. A filthy king and his adorable queen.”
5++stars! I absolutely loved this! OMG! Let me gather my thoughts first...
Okay! So here we go!
Stolen Lies is the second installation of the Truths and Lies duet and the perfect conclusion to the story of Kostas and Talia. The last book, Hidden Truths ended with the cliffhanger and this one starts with a time gap of one year after that.
I don't know how to write something about this without giving away the plot but I'll try my best.
Talia is missing and Kostas is going crazy over the fact that he can't find her. In the previous book, we were given hints to Talia's pregnancy and those who guessed in the affirmative were right. It ought to complicates things, doesn't it? Well, it totally does!
With Talia missing and Kostas hitting rock bottom, a person wishes to overtake his empire but dun..Dun.. Dun.. There's a twist which I'm not going to elaborate. You've got to read it to find out on your own. But seriously, this book was totally worth for pulling an all nighter. I'm absolutely delighted to include this in my favorites shelf!
As always, K. Webster promises and delivers dark. Sensitive themes of murder(bloody one at that) and kidnapping are portrayed. Some scenes are downright gory so proceed with caution.
SIX STARS! This duet is at the top of my list for favorite reads in 2019. I was blown away.
Stolen Lies is part 2 in the Truth and Lies duet and is the conclusion to the story. This book cannot be read as standalone and must follow book 1, Hidden Truths. My guess is that anyone who reads book 1 will be wanting to read this right away because the story is that incredible. I don't remember the last time I felt this emotionally involved in a book or the characters. I was quite literally on the edge of my seat. At times, I was up and pacing the room. My heart was beating quickly and I started sweating. These authors knocked this out of the park with their captivating writing.
I won't give any details or spoilers, but I suppose I can give some TW info: this book has some violence and torture.
Read these books if you like romantic suspense books. You will not be disappointed.
This was an addictive page turner and heart pounding thrill ride. I absolutely liked Kostas. He became even more determined, dangerous, and downright ruthless in this book.
« I need to destroy and wage war. I need blood. I need fucking vengeance. »
Kostas & Talia were great together. Their story was explosive, raw, intense, bloody and had that ideal balance of action, suspense, romance, passion and scorching hot sex scenes.
“Our love is violent and messy, destructive for those who dare near it. It slaughters and slays. Powerful and intimidating to those around it.”
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus Christ on a broken cracker #sendhelp *blink*
When I read Hidden Truths, I only thought I was on edge. Stolen Lies taught me the real feeling of being on edge! WOW
I’ve decided I’m going to tell you more about what my mind went thru when I read this story rather than just tell you this is a phenomenal read so just read it. Let’s begin: What did I just read?! I mean … who comes up with storylines that have twisty twists?? Well, we all know who! These two ladies are ridiculously good at the whole ~ nothing is really what you are reading so just enjoy the ride and let the crazy happen ~ romance fiction!
I experienced this story more than just read it. The author’s voices gave the story spark. It was already edgy, but it was next level. I was all up in this story in my head. To say I had fits of anxiety at some points would be downplaying it. #twitchy
If you like your romance fiction to be sunshine, gumdrops or rainbows …. Pretty sure this duet is not for you. I’m not trying to diminish sales here, but this book is not a bedtime story so go with God lol
In conclusion, see the first sentence of this review :)

Are you ready for the epic conclusion the the truth and lies duet? Here we go with the explosive part two in this duet! Talia and Kostas Demetriou are back! This takes place after the major cliffhanger in Hidden Truths. Will Kostas gets what he wants and get his vengeance? Will Talia be found? Can you build a life off of an arrangement? So many lies, secrets, deception and truths revealed it will have your head spinning. Get ready for a jaw dropping conclusion to this magnificent duet. I can’t say much more so you’re going to have to read this for yourself to see what happens. These too work so well off each other and their chemistry is perfect! Told in dual POV
And they do it again! Book two in the Truth and Lies duet is just as amazing as book one! I did not stop reading from the time I opened the book until I finished.
Kostas' world has been turned upside down with Talia's kidnapping. Stolen Lies starts a year after Talia has gone missing, and Kosta has not handled her absence well. His men have no leads on where to find her. Talia has been living the last year locked in a house with no way to escape. During that year a big change has happened. When Talia was taken she was pregnant. She has spent the last year trying to protect herself and her baby from the monsters before her.
Stolen Lies is full of betrayal, and lies. Kostas can't be sure he can trust anyone. It seems around every corner there is someone waiting to betray his trust. Even after he finds Talia and their daughter things don't settle down. Kostas wants revenge on the man who denied him of his family, he still stop at nothing to get it. But the man who betrayed him, who he wants to kill will stop at nothing to take everything from him.
Everything about this book was amazing, the storyline, the characters, the writing. This duet will be one of my top reads of the year. I cannot think about a better way to end this duet that what I just read. When these two authors come together I know I'll get something epic, and they definitely delivered that with this duet.
Stolen Lies had me hooked before I even started. I needed this book more than I needed air, and it did not disappoint. The betrayal, lies, blood, killing all had me on the edge of my seat needing more. Nikki Ash and K. Webster are amazing writers individually but together they are even better. Everything about this book and duet was perfect! I cannot wait to see what they give us next!

Stolen Lies is the explosive conclusion to the Truth and Lies duet. K Webster and Nikki Ash weave a suspenseful and captivating story that will have readers hanging on to every word. Passion, betrayal, and violence all clash together as Kostas and Talia fight for their love and their future.
“Don’t you see? I’m under your goddamn spell. You got inside me. It was so f***ing dark and, Jesus, Talia, you were all light. I wanted that light so bad I could taste it.”
Both main characters in this story were well written and had amazing chemistry. They were passionate and loyal and had eyes only for each other, which I loved. The events of the prior book had them each in a difficult position that they had to fight their way out of. I loved Kostas’ forceful and ruthless personality. He was everything a mob leader should be, yet in this installment, he was able to realize what was really important in life. He was hard and violent but he loved with everything in him. I especially loved his possessiveness towards Talia. They were so good together, two people who found an incredible connection in the darkest of places. Their relationship was intense and passionate and I loved everything about it.
“Our love is violent and messy, destructive for those who dare near it. It slaughters and slays. Powerful and intimidating to those around it.”
The plot of Stolen Lies flowed really well and included some fantastic suspense and romance elements. It was a really emotional and engaging story that I couldn’t put down. There were so many great moments in the book and the ending wrapped things up perfectly. This is my first book by this writing duo and I sincerely hope that they have more books planned in the future.
What a really great ending to this duet. We were certainly left hanging at the end of book one and it must be read prior to reading this one. And man, hang onto your hats because the suspense does not stop. Just when one thing falls into place, something else goes wrong.
I kind of knew where some of this was going, or at least had an idea. But what I didn't expect was so many hidden pieces left to uncover. This book had a lot happening, lots of hold-your-breath moments and a few, didn't-see-that-at-alls. While this called to my black heart, I really can't get over how much I was invested in these characters. Talia really came into her own. She because exactly what she was meant to be; fierce, protective, with a side of caring. Kostas also molds into this new person. He spends a long time trying to put pieces together and when he starts to get to the bottom of the mystery no one is safe. He is like the devil and he will burn everyone in his way. He also has this loyal and giving heart that only very few get to see. Truly they were a perfect pair.
I am hoping that certain somebodies may get books in the future, because not only is this duo awesome together but there are characters that need some author guidance to have their stories told. They also have a piece of my heart. The side characters really become part of the story. While secondary, they are not. They just have this presence that should not be ignored and I really, really would like more of this world.

Intense, steamy and suspenseful. I felt like I was standing on the ledge waiting for my suffering to end. And I LOVED IT. Kostas is my strong, violent man that only melts for one woman. Me! I mean Talia...and she’s feisty, resilient and a clever match for him. Lots of twists and psychotic acts to keep me on my toes. Definitely a page turner that I couldn’t put down.
Holy shiitake mushrooms. What a great conclusion! Wow. Where to begin since i dont want to spoil stuff cause *spoilers are bad* 😒 Kostas lord he did not disappoint in the ending of these duet. He was fierce. He was unforgiving. I loved it. So much happens in this conclusion it will blow your mind! I hope you enjoy this duet like i did!
A dark romance that will keep you on the edge, twist you up and then deliver with a love that never holds back. The love and passion shared between Kostas and Talia was unbreakable and I loved it!
When you finally find the one you love, you never let go. Neither time nor distance can break that bond. Kostas found his love and he’s willing to do anything to get her back. Blood will be shed. Lives will be lost. He will protect the one’s he loves at all cost.
Talia is gone. She’s been gone for awhile. Kostas is still searching. He won’t let her go. He wants his wife back.
This is a story of love and revenge. Kostas is not going to give up until he has her back. You’ll get answers to all your questions. The body count is high. The blood loss is plentiful. When it comes to getting his revenge, Kostas is ruthless.
A story of an arranged marriage that became true love. It’s no fairy tale. The mafia king found his queen. I do not want to give anything away, so enjoy the suspense and embrace the darkness. It’s going to get messy, but their love is worth any sacrifice.
The first book "Hidden Truths" ended up with cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to read the next book in this duet to find what happened next!
K. and Nikki didn't disappoint!
"Stolen Lies" is a perfect mafia romance book that will keep your attention from the first page till the last.
This book is the conclusion to Talia and Kostas's story which I loved and I'm really sad that our time together is over because I absolutely enjoyed reading this duet.
If you're looking for a mafia romance or you obsessed with them, then you SHOULD READ THIS DUET NEXT!!!
I can't wait to read more books written by these two amazing authors!
What an conclusion !!!! This book started off where the first one ended and it did not disappoint. Kostas was out of it for awhile but then FIANLLY woke up!! He never stopped looking for Talia just took a little to long to put the pieces together. Once that happened he was ruthless!!!! I mean ruthless!!! Talia was so strong and did what she needed to do to survive. She was also so ruthless!! Loved it!!! This book is full of twist, turns, violence, blood, love and survival. Thank you so much for letting me be apart of the "early team" I enjoyed both of these books so so much!!!
What a duet book. This book kept me on my toes and kept you wondering what till come next. I was laughing , crying and blushing threw this whole book. This a must read series. These two Authors have wrote to amazing dark and sexy books. I think I have become a little dark like Talia !!!
I was right about that WEASEL! Oh, so right! He is so going down! (OK, so I might be a bit invested in this.) 🤔
Talia Nikolaides Demetriou and Kostas Demetriou are put through the wringer by someone who was supposed to be on their side. For as much of an ass as Kostas can be, his reaction to Talia's disappearance is fitting. It makes for strange bedfellows, figuratively speaking, that's for certain. (Don't worry, he doesn't cheat.)
How does it feel to be powerless? You only had the illusion of power for a short time there. -- Talia Demetriou
I do love how Talia comes into her own and lets her fierce lioness loose. She fears plenty, but she steels her spine and gets things done no matter how long it takes. This honestly has a solid ending to all of the crazy that flies around, and I liked it a lot.
As insane as it is, I kinda like how they will take tension relief breaks in the middle of all of the action. 🍆🍑💦 The timing isn't always convenient, but they both need the connection to fight for the next step toward achieving their retribution.
The narrators are Sarah Puckett and Jeffrey Holz. I am frequently an advocate for duet narration. In this case, I really, really wish it were duet. I have listened to Sarah more than a few times and like her. Jeffrey's new to me, and he's great as Kostas, but his delivery of Talia makes her out to be whinier than I think she was intended by the authors.
My heart was pounding for basically this entire book, which I DEVOURED. Omg... the feels, the action, the sex, the fucking blood and gore... perfecccttttt. I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t get enough of Kostas and Talia and this world. I’m gonna need more books! More, more, more!!
