Bad For Me

There's a myth that floats around in my city.
They say the president of the local biker gang is ruthless, heartless, and that once you cross him, you'll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder.
There are whispers that he was once lost in a forest, and when he was found, he was surrounded by a pack of wolves that were protecting him.
Many will tell you he'd never let his guard down for a woman, and that if he ever did, it would be bad for her.

The one thing this city doesn't know about me is that I'm not your average woman. I'm a fighter, and when someone messes with my family, I will fight, and when my freedom is stolen, I will do whatever it takes to get it back.
When I'm done with him, the rumors will come to an end because I'll be the woman who tamed this infamous biker president.
I'll be the woman who, in the end, was bad for him.

BAD-FOR-ME

BAD FOR ME: Is a full length, standalone, MC romance novel by Shanora Williams

Is it bad to admit that I signed up for this solely because of the cover..NO!?! Well ok then!!

I really really enjoyed this one and it brought home to me that I really need to get back into the biker genre, these used to be my kryptonite, my go to genre above all else and this book made me realise how much I miss it. This book could’ve gone the whole nine yards of darkness but the author held back but gave enough grittiness to make it an enjoyable biker read.

I loved our heroine and hero, Nova gave Wolf a run for his money, he never knew what hit him when she came into his life, not once did she back down, she stood her ground like no other and that confused the f#ck out of him, where others bowed down to him in fear she challenged him. Captive of the club she wasn't giving in without a fight. And boy did Wolf have a fight on his hands with her.

Wolf OMG I am in LOVE!! He was an arrogant alpa-hole! A watcher in the dark..But oh how I loved his character!! Wolf is The Lord of Chaos' President, he rules the town with an iron fist.

25033993.gif

There were so many twists and turns which I loved because they just came at me out of nowhere. This was seriously so easy to get into, and I have everything crossed that the author brings us more MC goodness because I'm greedy like that, I just want more!!

* Teaser used is off the authors facebook page *

Overall Opinion: I'm certain I read a different book here! So many of my GR friends loved this, but I find myself outside of the group yet again. This was a rough read for me. I felt like skimming early on but kept with it. I didn't like either of the mcs. I was majorly frustrated with the complete 180 that happened from hating each other and being nasty to loving each other sooooo much...like, what?! I think I rolled my eyes enough to possibly do some permanent damage, and I skimmed so much towards the end that it should've probably been put on my dnf shelf! I'm sorry friends, but this simply wasn't my cuppa.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Nova and Wolf's story. Nova steps in when her younger brother finds himself in trouble with the local motorcycle club and offers herself up in exchange. She quickly learns that this means her freedom is stripped completely from her and she is under the unstable protection of the mc president, Wolf. She soon realizes that she needs to use the connection she feels between them to get herself out of this situation. There are some suspenseful moments and some sexy times...and they get a HFN ending.

Point Of View (POV): This was told in Nova's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Not the best. I skimmed. A lot. It seemed to take a long time to develop, had a good bout in the middle, then slowed down again.

Instalove: Yes! I don't know where the heck the feelings of love came from -- they felt totally out of left field!!

H (Hero) rating: 2 stars. Wolf. I really struggled with him. I get he was supposed to be this tough, alpha, mysterious guy...but I just ended up feeling confused about him and that he was just an asshole that didn't know what he wanted.

h (heroine) rating: 2 stars. Nova. I really struggled with her as well. She was supposed to be strong and I got that to a certain extent, but I also felt that she was just a bitch. ...and if she said "coward" one more time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: Yes

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: TBH I was skimming so bad towards the end that all I got was that . I might've missed something, but I'm classifying this one as a HFN ending.

Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences.

Shanora Williams has always been one of my go to authors because everything is always different. Her stories are diverse, her heroines are always feisty and strong willed, and there’s just something about her writing that makes you excited to keep reading. When I saw that she was going to be releasing a MC book, I knew I had to get on board on ASAP and you know what? Thank god I did. I forgot how much I love these kinds of books and after reading this one, it made me want to jump back in to the dark gritty MC world.

Nova hasn’t always had the best of luck in life but right now, life is good. She has a good job working as a photographer, her own apartment, and she takes care of her teenage brother who means more to her than anything. Living in a small town, there are certain things that you know you have to steer clear of and the MC gang is number one on that list. But when she’s thrown into their orbit by the president himself, life as Nova knows it is about to become extremely dangerous.

tenor-22.gif

I love that this author took a risk and wrote this book. She gave us background on the MC life, grit, and a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Did I agree with everything? No and quite frankly I don’t think we were meant to. Nova was not your average heroine and I liked that she was tough and she knew what she wanted and she never settled which was refreshing for me. Wolf was a bit frustrating at times but I have to say that once he lets you into his circle, he would protect you with his life and I loved that about him.

If you haven’t read anything from this author, you need to start right now and give this one a try. It was sexy, thrilling, forbidden, with a dash of danger to keep you on your toes.

27 year-old Nova Almaraz is a photographer for a fashion magazine and she loves her job. she is strong and independent, wild and free spirit, feisty and stubborn. 😍
Her 19-year-old brother, Silas, is the most important thing in her world - ever since their mother died from overdose, Nova took care of him. ❤

Although she is in intimate relationship with Ellis, a widower who is older than her by over 20 years, she doesn't want to settle down with anyone - she wants to stay free and keep things casual... 🔥

But then - her brother gets in trouble with a dangerous MC club, "Lord of Chaos". 💣💥
In her last attempt to save his life, she implores their leader, Wolf, to take her instead of hurting him.
Wolf agrees and takes Nova to their den. 🔥

What will be Nova's fate there? what did her brother do? how could she pay his debt? who is Wolf and what does he really want from Nova...? 😱

I really liked Nova's character in the beginning. She was such a bad-ass... but then, all she cared about was to be claimed by him to save herself. 😬
The truth is, I didn't feel like she was in that great danger at first to justify this change in her... (The number of times the words "Claim me" appeared made me think I was confused and this is actually a book about shifters LOL 😂)

But then... BOOM! 💣💣💣
Shanora dropped a bomb full of surprising twists that I totally did not expect - and I was left with my jaw on the floor! 😱
This book has everything MC book needs - a tough brooding leader, strict rules, secrets, hot scenes and lots of action! 💥💣

This book wasn't bad, it was just not good enough *for me*. The relationship between Wolf and Nova was intense and full of passion - yet, maybe it's just me, but I couldn't feel a real connection between them, other than a sexual one... So there were a few scenes that made me roll my eyes...
In spite of that, there's no doubt that Shanora's writing was awesome as always - and I enjoyed reading her words. ❤

BTY, There were some parts that reminded me of "Nine Minutes" by Beth Flynn - so if you liked that trilogy, this book is definitely for you! 😉

3.5 Lamb stars for Bad For Me!!

“He may seem like he’s no good for me—that he’s bad for me—but when we’re alone, all I receive from him is the good.”

This was my first Shanora book, and boy oh boy what a ride! I haven’t read many MC romances, but I loved this one! I freakin loved Nova! She is my kind of heroine. She’s a real bad ass that’s had to survive while taking care of her brother so she doesn’t take any sh*t from anyone, not even the President of the most prestigious biker gang in town. Wolf was everything, and I love how Nova unwrapped his hard, rough layers getting to the goodness within him. Only she could do that.

So many twists, turns and action. What I loved most of all was the love story. I love it when two people have all of their walls and defenses broken down, and are stripped bare before each other. They’re each other’s peace and safe place. That is Nova and Wolf.

4 stars!!

So this book is filled with such a huge plot twist that I'm not going to spoil by flat out stating what it is nor by alluding to it. You'll just have to found out on your own. But this review does have a few spoilers here and there so you've been warned (these aren't true spoilers, more like heads up of what you'll read).

Going back to the plot twist, what I will say is that it explains everything.

Summary:
Nova is a photographer for a magazine; she is also very protective of her little brother, Silas. When Silas decides to mess with the wrong people, Nova comes in to save him. And how does she save him? By exchanging herself for his life.

Everything was fine and dandy, however, until Nova made it seem like she was being forced–was being held hostage, even though she was the one that gave herself up. This made me somewhat dislike her in the beginning.

Shit happens, as it normally happens in any book, and Nova and Wolf begin to experience an enemies-to-lovers thing, you know, pretty normal in terms of its trope.

At the same time, we get a taste of the MC life (which, I do gotta say is quite different from anything I've read thus far) and I can say that I didn't agree with a few things about it. Some was actually pretty disturbing. There are themes of cheating (weird triangles, kinda), branding of people, actual violence, etc. The cheating is not present in the MCs, though (well, kinda, if you count the beginning... somewhat).

Overall, Williams kicks ass and presents her reader with a book filled with:
- age gap
- twists
- new MC traditions, which involve violence: branding, etc.
- enemies to lovers trope
- steam [;-)]
- hella chemistry
- and a HEA

To My Surprise, I enjoyed this book...Initially, I only purchased the book because of the narration and for the first few hours of this 12+ hour book...I continued to tell myself...that I wasn't going to like the book, because I didn't enjoy the route it was taking....The book was about a Motorcycle Club President and the desire for revenge....the plot twist and turns is really what grabbed me...although, one of the plot twist events wasn't a surprise to me...I guessed it early on...nevertheless, Nova (Lamb was her club name) eventually soften the members of the club....For me this book turned out much better than I expected....in the end, Wolf & Nova learned to deal with their feelings as well as how to properly convey them....If you have any triggers...be mindful, this book was really penned well, but, there's some discussion of a rape and abusive language toward women as well as a murder and talk of murder. Wesleigh did a Phenomenal job with this solo narration.

What a thrilling ride it was. With pipes vrooming, rumbling noises, thunder building, The bikes drove from the pages and left the tread marks on my heart!
"The motorcycle is humming through me. I hear the rumble of the engine in one ear, and his heartbeat in the other, and I won’t lie, it feels like home."

description

when I read the first chapter, the feel was of unrequited love. But boy, Was i wrong!!
The second chapter just threw me in the midst of a vendetta war which Wolf has unleashed in Nirvana. He's the Alpha Prez of the MC gang of Lords. He's mysterious, legendary and almost invincible
"Lords of Chaos is what they call themselves, or The Lords. They’re one of the many reasons I want to get out of this fucked up city of Nirvana, Arizona and go somewhere else, like Colorado or Vermont."

description

He rules the town with an iron fist and all dwellers fall into compliance, either due to fear or because he lines their pockets.you couldn't turn a leaf over without the Wolf knowing. He's quiet, brooding and an introvert, yet he hides a sharp as fangs brain and is always a step ahead of his enemies.
His object of interest is Nova Almanaz, a soft hearted & selfless photographer who takes it upon herself to mother her younger brother Silas. This virtue of hers would be cause of her troubles it seems cause her life changes with a phone call and now she's in uncharted territory of the Lords, stuck and in peril.
The characters are very well formed. Wolf is exactly that- predatory, sly and cunning.
Nova is gracious, caring and compassionate. Whenever they are in proximity you can almost see the smoke billowing, either due to their angry clashes or their explosive sexual chemistry. They fight, they bite, they dodge, they parry but they can't stay off of each other.

description

"If he thinks for a second that I’m going to become one of his fucking whores, he has another thing coming. Hell would have to freeze over before I ever did shit with that long-haired, bearded jackass."
What starts as a vengeance morphs into lust as the time passes. But wait, shanora is not done with the hairpin twists and turns just yet.
The inevitability of their connection is a given, yet they both contest it in their heads. That gives the build up a desperation, which when reaches its crescendo, explodes into Breathless kisses and lusty passion. And it's panty-melting hot!!

description

What seems like a revenge drama, turns out is hiding a bigger iceberg like story just beneath the surface. All is NOT what it seems!! Treachery, betrayals and deceptions turn the story on its head and you are left with your jaw hanging open!
The real wolves are hiding in sheep's clothing, and by the end if it loyalties keep switching sides at the flip of a coin.
Shanora shows yet again that she's a queen of darker shades of love stories, which teeter on the thin line between darkness and light. Her slick style and racy momentum keeps the adrenaline rush at the optimum and I legit was Breathless at times with events racing by at top speed.
It's Heady, explosive and volatile bike ride with no safety gear and you'll be hanging by the seat of your pants throughout the gripping adventure
Hold on to Wolf's cut and ride!!

„He’s the same man who stole my right to live freely.
And now, I’m going to steal his vicious, beating heart.”

As soon as I heard that Shanora Williams writes MC romance, I went crazy. I love this author and I have a weak spot for bikers in my books, so this combination was a dream come true. And oh man, it was fantastic! Bad For Me is magnificent. Captivating, suspenseful, mysterious and deliciously hot. This story is full of secrets, danger and deception and that gave me the thrill I'm seeking in MC books. But it also has the chemistry so intense that I was afraid that my Kindle's gonna explode.

Wolf is exactly the type of character that always steals my heart- the ultimate bad boy, broody and grumpy, unattainable, closed-off and surly. He carries confidence like a second skin and he’s dominant. However, when we peel off his hard exterior layer after the layer, we discover gentler parts of his personality and that makes us fall in love with him even more.

Nova is the best heroine ever. Caring and loving, but also strong, brave and fierce. She’ll do anything to protect her loved ones, even if she needs to go through hell and face the devil himself. Or in this case, the wolf ;)

Despite unfavorable circumstances, these two share off the charts chemistry. Connection so intense and combustible that it can set the world on fire. With just one look at each other, they were able to convince me that they were made for each other. And the outlet of their contained passion made me panting. Good heavens, Shanora knows how to write sexy scenes... whew!

Bad For Me is a perfect mix of dangerous and dark world of motorcycle club and passionate and steamy romance. Shanora Williams filled this story with many unexpected twists and turns, and steam so thick that it’s able to blur your vision. She manipulates your emotions like a puppeteer, giving you the best reading experience. I loved every sentence of this unputdownable and addicting romance.

So, I’m several chapters in and it’s felt like one big info-dump.. Plus, Nova is in a friends with benefits type relationship with an older man who wants more and they are taking up quite a bit of page time. The “twist” that’s coming isn’t hard to figure out and, I have to say, based on what I’ve read so far I won’t be continuing to see how it pans out.

Ahhhhh! This was so freaking good! So first I read the free prequel Shanora offered and I was hooked! When Bad For Me hit my kindle I stopped EV.ER.Y.THINNNG!

So first the heroine, Nova is life! She embodies pretty much all the things I love in a main character, she's so strong, brave, courageous, smart and she's no body's push over! She's also a photographer for a magazine so she's super artistic too.

Wolf. Wowza.....Wolf is complicated to say the least. I find him to be extremely loyal, observant, intelligent, commanding and thoughtful but ultimately he is the The Lord of Chaos' President and with that comes major responsibilities and rules that must be followed and upheld.

Both Nova and Wolf have some sketchy pasts. Not the best upbringing and not many positive role models to follow so they know how it feels for life to be a challenge.

I don't really want to delve into specifics because honestly there's a fuck ton to unpack in this book. Nova's brother, Silas.....up to no good. Ellis, the guy Nova has been seeing but also keeps at arms length is pushing her for "more" and one day all their worlds collide into a chaotic mess of history, past lies, secrets, deception, and a twist that had me so shook I choked on my cheetos! And my exact words were, "THE FUCK YOU DID NOT SHANORA, THAT'S TWISTED!"

Shanora brings a fast paced, suspenseful , violent, story with characters that have explosive chemistry and a story that is unputdownable! I need more of these two in my life and more of Wolf's biker brothers!

Podobno, kiedy był mały, zgubił się w lesie, a kiedy w końcu go odnaleziono, otaczała go sfora wilków. Ile z tego jest prawdą, a ile to tylko miejska legenda mająca na celu odstraszyć ciekawskie osoby? Wilk nigdy nie pokazuje emocji, jest opanowany i trzyma wysoko gardę. Ma ciężki charakter, jednak to czyni go wspaniałym przywódcą.

I really enjoyed Bad For Me. Wolf and Nova were so sexy and I could not stop reading. I loved their connection and how despite not wanting each other at first, the attraction between them was pure fire!

When Nova Almanaz catches the attention of Wolf, the notorious President of the Lords of Chaos, she unknowingly gets caught in his vendetta war in the town of Nirvana. I thought this story was amazing! I hope it's the start to a new series as Nova was strong, sassy, protective of her family and an all around fantastic heroine.

I loved how Wolfe was so obsessed with Nova even when he didn't want to be. I seriously can't wait for more from this author in the future! ~Ratula

3.5 STARS!

I really didn't know what to think of Bad for Me. It left my mind scrambled. The hero confused the heck out of me and after reading the prequel in his POV I was hoping for more time inside his mind and I got NONE, which left me feeling a bit #disappointed 🙃. The beginning dragged for me and I didn't care much for Nova. Sure, she was a bad chick and very liberal and independent in her thinking and actions but, personally, I just didn't find that connection with her. She kinda annoyed me at times. However, I can definitely see why some love her. Just me, not so much. Another issue I found I had with this novel was that this MC book did not really read as a ROMANCE novel. At least not to me.

Ok, so here's my thing, I always find for me that Shanora is either hit or miss. I either absolutely cannot get enough or I am not happy and unfortunately this book just wasn't for me.
While I appreciate what she tried to do, there was just too much that did not gel with what I love. I do love a true MC book, with their feistiness and almost disregard for the rules I love that, but for me, for this to be a true romance, there needed to be more respect for woman, because no one wants a romance to feel that hurtful at one point or another.
For the most part, the book really was good at least however what got me, was that in the beginning she is dating another man, which I'm not a fan of but what really got me was that this man turned out to be the father of the biker that she ends up with and for me, sleeping with both father and son, even without knowing it just isn't ok.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

BAD FOR ME by Shanora Williams is the story of Nova and Wolf.
Nora has had to learn to take care of herself and her brother due to her awful family. This has made her very strong, independent and protective of her brother. Wolf is the leader of The Lords a biker gang that everyone knows to stay away from but then her brother gets himself in a bad situation. Of course Nora ends up doing what she feel she has to to save him that puts her right into Wolf's world.
Exciting page turning read for me.

Shanora Williams latest stand alone romance Bad For Me was a fast-paced, suspenseful, page-turner that had me hooked from beginning to end. The chemistry between the two main characters was explosive and intense and the storyline with its deception, lies secrets and twists left me speechless. This MC story was violent, raw and brutal as the author gives us a look into the MC life. It was a well written, nail biting tale that I enjoyed and would highly recommend it to all lovers of MC romance.

4.5 stars

I’m a huge fan of this author (and MC books in general) so I was super excited when I first heard about this book. Wolf was everything I wanted him to be. He’s arrogant, a man of few words but I absolutely loved him. Nova is so feisty and stubborn, I couldn’t help but like her. This book is full of twists, it had me guessing all the way through what was going to happen next and I loved the characters. Definitely recommend this book.

2.5 Juvenile Stars.

Eh. Just an okay book. I felt like this story was kind of pointless, I do like the cover though, he looks like Can Yaman.

This is pretty much what happens, she's In a relationship with this older guy that she loves, she gets kidnapped by a MC because of her brother's debt to them, she is told. She is kept at the clubhouse and treated badly by almost everyone. There is Club W drama (wasn't annoying, just the characters themselves were), some more drama, her and the H hate each other but the heroine tries to seduce him. Another MC guy wants a go at her, she would have to because there is no claim on her, the hero is just about to let them, but she calls him a coward, he ends up claiming her, has sex with her, then lets a Club W sit on his lap right after to show he is in control (he doesn't do anything though). Heroine doesn't put up with it, some more boring stuff happens.

Then the heroine has to get branded since she is in the club, literally branded. The hero makes her and has no remorse, even one of the other MC members are in a relationship and won't claim his girlfriend because he loves her and isn't a monster, unlike everyone else who almost made it seem like a good thing to go through with it. More stuff happens, she finds out the older guy she was with is the hero's dad, and that the real reason the hero took her was because he was pretty much jealous since his dad had abused him when he was younger and he was in a happy relationship now, but he used the excuse of he didn't want her to be another "victim" of the dads. He says that, and yet at the club house she is treated worse than when she was with the dad. More stuff happens, they break up, she is about to get into a car with a guy the hero finds her and is mad about that, they eventually get back together, the end. All the gaps in between was pretty much stories or drama between Club Ws, wives, and past members, such as one about the previous dead prez cheating on his wife with a mistress the whole time, so she cheats back and gets preggo, then the prez eventually makes the guy leave, and she talks about how much she gets along with the mistress of the dead prez and she understands why he had to cheat🙄It was mainly stuff like that, and it was all pretty dull.

The writing, especially the dialogue was cheesy and immature. All the characters had low IQs and no personality. Every one apparently only knows how to scream what they are saying when they talk. So many insults back and forth, it proved how dumb they were, especially most of them being "b*tch or sl*t". Usual club whore drama, though this time, luckily, the H wasn't a flat out manwhore, still not that smart though.

Most characters were overly aggressive all the time and I got annoyed of it. The heroine wasn't great, but I did like how she stood up for herself and actually had a sex life and a guy she was in love with, with the heros dad no less (my pettiness is showing because I liked that). The hero isn't a full manwhore, still club W drama, and he does some stupid shiz, but I also liked how possessive he was when they were actually together.

After I read this I realized I read this author before and actually DNFed her, and it is mainly due to the writing, just not for me. She does have one duet that I actually wanted to read, but after this, not too sure I will.

3.75 – 4 Kind of angsty stars

It’s been some time since I’ve read a book by this author. It’s hit or miss with me. I usually love reading her books because it’s always steamy, but this one didn’t hit all the marks. I did enjoy the book, but I found it a little frustrating and a little lack luster. I don’t believe it delivered what it promised.

Pros:
The length of the book is pretty long, so you get a lot of “time” (even though the time is only 2 weeks) to get to know the characters. This is pretty much a good and bad thing. A good thing because there isn’t really an insta-love or anything but I felt like the author put too much time into parts of the book that didn’t really need it.

Con: the introduction of the book could have been edited down more. The relationship between the Heroine and her current conquest wasn’t really needed. I thought he was the Hero, but he is not. So I felt like I wasted about 20% of the book on that part.

Pros: I liked the theme of the book. MC books are nothing new, but they are fun to read. The club seemed simple enough and the world building was pretty easy to follow. I liked there weren’t too many characters to follow because it can be overwhelming with learning everyone in a club.

Con: the relationship between the Heroine and the Hero was VERY forced. I didn’t really get into it. I was really frustrated with the angst of their relationship. I hate that the Heroine was trying so hard to be “claimed” so the other guys wouldn’t mess with her. REALLY? I want the Heroine who is kidnaped and held against her will to seduce the guy? No thanks. That is not my cuppa tea.

I read the book fairly quickly so it did hold my attention, but not in an overall good way. I’m not sure if I can jive with this author’s writing style anymore. The angst is too much and a little too ridiculous. I also don’t like reading a book where the Heroine chases after the Hero. No thanks.

⭐️ 5 "Howling" Stars ⭐️
I’ve been a huge fan of Shanora Williams’ writing for years, needless to say I was ecstatic about this new release! This author always achieves to craft stories that get me utterly invested. Bad for Me is a slow burn, MC romance with sparks of violence and interesting twists! Nova and Wolf are such fascinating multi-faceted characters and their chemistry is something special! With this new set of protagonists, I was instantly charmed!

The sexual tension between these two is so intense from the start. It’s a contest of will to know who will crack first. Nova is a brave and fierce heroine; my favorite kind! She doesn’t shy away from the big bad Prez of the Lords of Chaos motorcycle club! Captive of the club, she does everything to come up on top and get her freedom back, but also to get answers about her brother’s link with these bad guys! She’s a great big sister and sacrifices so much for her only real family!

I loved Wolf a lot! He’s an enigmatic, grumpy guy with a dark aura. He’s aloof and distant, but exudes dominance and power! He’s not the president of the MC for nothing! He’s a well-respected man amongst his peers. Wolf rarely opens up, but when he’s to the breaking point… omg! He unleashes so much passion and fury, it’s irresistible and so hot! I loved seeing Nova crack his façade gradually and discover more about his past and the reasons behind his cold attitude. With all these answers, you understand the vicious man behind the president of the MC!

The intrigue is somewhat light in my opinion for an MC romance novel, but still so addictive to read! I guess for people not fan of dark romance or savage acts, this book will please you a lot! The secrets and revelations are surprising and had me shocked and entertained!

Shanora Williams once again brought to life a couple well matched that is so combusting! The action is stimulating and the supporting characters intriguing, adding a depth to the story! I absolutely recommend Bad for Me and hope to see future books set in this world of corruption!

The Wolf and his Lamb

I loved this book! There were so many twists I didn't see coming. Nova was a strong heroine and I really liked her. Wolf was the strong silent type but when he finally let Nova in I fell hard for him. I enjoyed these characters and I can't wait for more of the Lords.

Bad for Me was my introduction to Shanora Williams and it was quite the introduction. I read the blurb and was instantly intrigued. I’ll admit that it was hard for me in the beginning. Most MC novels I read start off at a zero to sixty speed but that’s not how this one went. Shanora stayed away from the usual cliches. You know... how the big bad biker is SO mean but the heroine cant help but instantly cream her panties? Or how they’re already in lust/love by chapter two even though she doesn’t want to be there.

Shanora’s approach was REFRESHING. Nothing was instant. Wolf’s layers were pried open with hard work and a crowbar (kidding about the crowbar). Nova didn’t give in so quickly to Wolf’s bad boy, sexy appeal. She was frightened most of the time and in self preservation mode. The chemistry between them may have been in the works in the background but they weren’t instantly jumping each other’s bones by page two. I really loved that about this book!

The characters were highly developed with strong personalities. The club traditions were a bit different than what I usually see in books like this. Honestly I’m in awe of how pleased I am. I wasn’t expecting something as different as what was delivered in this story and I SO pleased!!! I am excited to see how the rest of the guys find and claim their women.
