For the first time in a very long time, I felt wanted. This felt like home. What home was supposed to feel like.

I love Grahame Claire’s Paths to Love series so much and I honestly thought it couldn’t get any better than Murella and Stone’s book. I was wrong. I loved this just as much (maybe even a tad bit more) than ‘Three Dates’ and that’s really saying something. Carlos and Holly’s story was everything I wanted and more!

We’ve met Holly and Carlos in pervious books in this series, and I wanted so badly for both of them to find their happy. Carlos is Murella’s brother and has done a lot of really terrible things for good reasons. He’s not a good man, not in his mind at least, but he tries to do the right thing and he loves his sister something fierce. When he loves, he loves hard. When he starts to fall for Holly and her son, it’s over for him.

Holly is a single mom and works for Mullaney Jacobs. She has the best little boy ever and does her best by him. It’s apparent she’s hiding something, but it’s hard to say what it is. Dating is something she hasn’t done in years. Gabriel comes first always. Then Carlos shows up. Carlos, the most attractive man she’s ever met. Carlos, who treats her son like his own. Carlos… she tries to stay away from him, but it’s impossible. He’s the best kind of trouble.

Carlos and Holly’s romance was beautiful. There was a lot going on in the background of this book, but their love story was first and foremost and I was so happy about that. I loved watching both of them fall in love and heal one another. Both were a bit broken, but they found each other and were exactly what each other needed.
Fairy tales weren’t carriages and castles and fairy godmothers. They were two paths of battle scars and mistakes and imperfection that led to each other and became one.

I love books with kids and Gabriel was the highlight of this story. Holly is the most amazing mom, and don’t even get me started on Carlos. He and Gabriel’s relationship was one of the very best things about this story. Another thing I love so much about these books is the ‘found family’ troupe. I mean, the family bonds are strong between the Jacobs etc, but that found family, the one you chose and those who aren’t connected by blood but by heart and would do anything for you- that’s special.

Romance, friendship, suspense, steam, and emotion- this book had it all. Carlos and Holly’s story is unforgettable and I adored it. I was sad thinking this series was over, but I see there is another book coming next year. Now, I have no clue who it’s about but I know for sure I’m going to be reading it because I can’t get enough of these books!!
“You’ve freed me,” I said with quiet gratitude. He kissed the center of my palm. “You saved my soul.”

5 OMG OMG OMG it's Carlos stars

OMG OMG Carlos was sooooooo yummy. This was my favorite Paths to love book to date! I fucking loved Carlos so much. I was a little worried that I wouldn't think Holly was good enough for my yummy damaged reformed bad boy, but I really loved her. From the moment Carlos showed up in this series there was something about him that I loved. Something dark, dangerous, tortured, sexy and sweet. I hungered for his story. I longed to get a deep look into this troubled man. I begged Grahame Claire to get his story done, so I could inhale it in one sitting. So imagine my annoyance when my migraine medicine failed and I ended up in and out of the hospital for almost a week. I had this book. One I waited for. One I had been so excited for, and yet I couldn't hold my head up. Let alone focus my eyes enough to read it. This is were audio book would have been amazing lol. Finally days later, an ER trip, a migraine cocktail, a doctor's appointment, and a new migraine medicine( a fun monthly shot this time) and I was finally able to sit down and read the book I have been waiting forever for. It was everything I wanted and more. OMG it was good!!!!!

Carlos was everything I love in a hero. He was sexy, protective, sweet, respectful, supportive and a fighter. He had a dark past, he did horrible things in his life, but he was a good man with honor. I loved everything about him and I wouldn't change a single thing. Perfect! Holly was amazing too. She was perfect for Carlos. She was smart, strong, and a great mother. She didn't play games and she spoke her mind. I loved that she wasn't judgmental, but she wasn't stupid and accepting about everything either. She was very relatable. Gabriel her son (my son's name too btw) was adorable. He had me melting. He was so cute and precocious. I loved what a little gentleman he was in the book. Together they all made such a cute family. I loved how Carlos fought for Holly and Gabriel. He knew what he wanted and he went for it. Holly fought too. I felt their love. I connected to them as a couple. The romance was great. Smexy time was smoking hot. The plot was really good. The sweetness was abundant. I read it in about 6 hours. Totally inhaled it. I loved every bit of it. I don't know how Grahame Claire plan to top this, but I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Sorry Dan and Viv, but this is the BEST read of the series. I recommend it to anyone that likes alpha reforming bad boys, with dark past, that will do anything to protect their love ones.

Carlos Calderón is an intense enigma of a character that had my attention from the first moment he was introduced. I've been dying to get his story because I just knew it was going to be something amazing. And I wasn't wrong. What did surprise me though, was how deep his emotions ran and I loved that we got to see all of his vulnerabilities come out in this story. It was such a change from the man we first met and it made me love him even harder.

Seeing him with Holly and her son had me swooning as well as falling in love with Holly just as much as him. They were amazing together and their strength complemented each other very well. She was having a hard time with things and her son, Gabriel, was of course her main focus but she was still able to open up to Carlos and let him into her life. I really admired how she was able to juggle all of her worries and also let Carlos help without any pride getting in the way.

Holly and Carlos were both so easy to fall in love with and their relationship is one of my favorites from this series. I highly recommend reading this book but to get the full backstory for both characters you definitely need to read the previous books. They're just as brilliant to read so that isn't a hardship though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

I'm loving all the couples in the Paths to Love series, but there was something about Carlos and Holly's story that drew me in. Carlos and Holly may differ in the lives they've led, but both have been hard. Carlos is tortured by his past and Holly is still struggling to be a single parent to her young son. The instant friendship Carlos strikes up with Holly's son, Gabriel is so natural and made me love him more.

This is the fourth book in this series and it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend picking up this book. Dangerous Redemption by Grahame Claire is an EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Carlos has lived a dark and dangerous life. Holly has vowed to protect her son and make him her only priority. When he comes back into Muriella’s life their paths cross. He knows he should stay away from Holly and Gabriel but he is drawn to them. Can Carlos redeem himself and win Holly’s heart or will has past destroy them?

OMG Carlos had me from the first page. His determination to avenge the wrong done to Muriella had me loving him even more. Gabriel will win everyone over as the cutest little boy ever! I love that all the characters from the previous books play heavily into Dangerous Redemption as well. I stayed up way too late into the night I just couldn’t put this book down. Grahame took me on an emotional bender like no other. Anxiously awaiting their next creation!

Wonderful Redemption!

Since I started this book, I couldn't put it down. The story was so addicting and every page, every word was so enthralling.
As I said about the previous books (my other reviews), this is a standalone, but I totally recommend the whole series. I'm not even finished yet, but I already miss it.

Since we first met Muriella in It's Not Over and then we learnd her story in Three Dates I was intrigued about Carlos and I wanted to know more about him.
Then we saw them again in Heartbreaker and we got to meet Holly and Gabriel, and man, I was a goner for them all.
But still this book exceeded my already high expectations! What a wonderful, magnificent story.

Carlos has made so many mistakes in his life. But the thing is, even though he made them, he was conscious about it, I don't think we can actually say he chose that path. It was actually imposed on him.
He lived hell on earth and he had to do anything he could to survive and, little by little, exorcise the demon that haunted him.
However, that are demons that haunt more when they are dead than when they are alive, and while he fought with a ghost, Carlos also had to deal with some very real evils.
He was haunted, wanted, sworn to death, apparently so beyond redemption.
But as it turns out, even though it was indeed dangerous, there was redemption for him after all, and that is where Holly and Gabriel enter.

Holly has faced so much in her life. She has her own demons to slaughter and she was still dealing with danger from all around her. So the last thing she wanted was the biggest danger of them all. But at the same time, he was exactly what she needed.

They were both broken, but somehow they were still hanging from the unconditional love they both, his from Muriella, hers from Gabriel.
And oh my, Gabriel was just the sweetest. He was the highlight of the story, it was so warming and fulfilling to watch him interact with everyone. He was pure, genuine, adorable, so smart even though so young, he was a breath of fresh air.
And the bond the three of them created, despite Holly's attempt to keep Carlos away, was captivating. They mended each other's hearts almost effortlessly, even though there was so many things to overcome.

Again in this book we saw the importante of family, either by blood or by bond. There was so much love coming from everywhere, and it enveloped the three of them in a warm and protective cocoon. No matter what evil expected them outside of that shield, they could deal with it together.

And Oh. My. God. The chemistry beyond Carlos and Holly?? Off the charts!
They were so in tune with other, so connected, it started as a slow burning, but it became volatile. And at the same time, it was cozy and it brought peace to their shattered souls.

Suspense, heat, steam, fear, hope, mistakes, suspense, betrayal, unconditional love, family, a wonderful little boy, age gap. Redemption. You name it, it had it.

I couldn't get enough of them, and I finished the book already wanting more. I'm not ready to say goodbye.

Redemption is definitely worth any price

Dangerous Redemption is the fourth book in the Paths to Love series and it's a must-read for anyone who loves a lot of heart, a bit of danger and crazy amounts of hotness.

Carlos Calderon, brother of Muriella, just wants a normal life after a lifetime of crime, danger and death. Then he meets Holly, a single mom trying her best to be both mother and father to her five-year-old son. She's put her son above everything else and thereby closed herself off to love. Things heat up between Carlos and Holly from the get-go. She's the breath of fresh air he's been looking for to enhance his brand new start and he's her dark, dangerous prince. But is he too dangerous for her closely guarded world? Is his past really behind him and what happens if it turns out that world isn't quite as done with him as he is it? Will it put his new family in danger?

This book was everything I was hoping it would be when we were teased with a Carlos/Holly storyline. I truly couldn't put the book down. I just had to know what happened next between those two. I really love a dark, dangerous hero so Carlos was exactly what I was looking for in a book boyfriend. While this book can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the previous books to catch all the references. One of my favourite aspects of this series is that previous fan-favourite characters make appearances in each other's stories so we get little tidbits about ongoing storylines. So I highly recommend you pick up your copy of Dangerous Redemption ASAP.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Words escape me when I try to write a review for books written by these authors -- adjectives like phenomenal, incredible, breathtaking, brilliant -- these words can't even begin to articulate the talent and creativity of these women! I have adored the stories in the Paths to Love series and if possible, they keep getting better and better. The interconnecting characters in these books have become dear friends to me, so much so that I can't get them out of my mind even after reading the last page. Talk about a book hangover! I've wanted to read Carlos' story from the moment he was introduced to us. As in the previous books, the female lead (Holly) is smart, brave and strong. I love that these authors write women who can stand on their own and have a mind of their own as well. And then add in adorable Gabriel! The chemistry between Carlos and Holly burn up the pages and their interaction with Gabriel was icing on the cake. These authors make me laugh, cry big fat ugly tears (Chapter 11!), contemplate, pray and smile. I loved re-visiting everyone from the previous books--I feel like I know them personally and I'm part of their extended family. I have suggested in my previous reviews that everyone should start with Book #1 and read them all and I'm suggesting it again -- these authors are on my "must read" list and I want everyone to experience the feelings their books have evoked in me. 100 stars for another heartbreaking, heartwarming, incredible read!

Danger and Redemption

Redemption

This gripping, fast paced read with so much danger and intrigue, twists and turns abound throughout this highly recommended 5 star ⭐️ read! I just had to read it in one sitting. I just love the Paths of Love series and book 4 blew me away! The adorable 5 year old son Gabriel was such a joy, so loving and protective. He was Holly’s true love of her life!
Carlos only believed in redemption and justice for his fathers murderous evil life, but would he claim his revenge for his mama after all and set his sister Camila free? Would Holly’s brother Jason put Gabriel in danger with his nefarious selfishness, as he needs money to pay off his drug dealers? Guilt for not being able to pay for his drug use any more is strong in Holly’s mind! But her duty is to her darling son!
Who is the traitor in the midst? Can Carlos continue being a vigilante? Good and evil has now become blurred in his mind! Can he leave the past 30 years behind? An instant attraction for Carlos as he is introduced to Holly. What has Drew Carter got against Holly, why does he threaten her safety? Can Carlos and Holly be friends with benefits? The Answers to all these questions will be in the reading of the book. The Jacob family all meld together in this wonderful story once again.

I loved this book so much! It might be my favorite in the series. Carlos has had a very hard life. He has seen and done horrible things, but he really wants what everyone wants, to be happy. Holly is a single mom to an amazing young boy, Gabriel. She's trying to give him everything he needs to have a fulfilled life. These two meet and the attraction is instant! They have sizzling chemistry and an undeniable connection. Carlos and Gabriel hit it off instantly too. The writing is so amazing in this book. There is action, love, worry, and so much emotion. I loved how Gabriel is written. He is so easy to picture with his innocent wonderment, curiosity, and impeccable manners. You can feel the love he has for his mama and Carlos. The hope and hopelessness Carlos feels is heartbreaking and you root for him every step of the way. Holly's love and the way she makes Gabriel a priority is amazing and her fear of disappointment for herself and Gabriel is palpable. I loved seeing the rest of the family, they are either in your face with love and support or quietly cheering you on and offering a shoulder to lean on. Such a great book and series. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you with the biggest smile on your face

OMG Grahame Claire knows how to draw you in on this storry. Carlos is dangerous, but he's only trying to clean up the mess of his father's cartel in Nicaragua. When will he stop having to keep looking over his shoulder? How can her protect his new found friends? How can he keep his dangerous past from his new life? He's wanting to change, but how can he , when his violent past keeps following him? "I'm not the same monster as my father, but am I?" Action packed, betrayal, murder, danger, lies, mystery, forgiveness, oh and steamy sex. Carlos just oozes sex! It's so easy to be drawn into his sexy charm. This story had me on the edge of my seat! I couldn't put it down. This series is getting better and better as it continues! I received an ARC and offered my honest opinion.

I thought I couldn’t love a Grahame Claire couple more than Mulaney & Easton and then Holly & Carlos were introduced. From the first page to the last, Holly & Carlos captivated me!

Carlos was a little troubled, but seeing him with Holly’s son Gabriel made him swoon worthy. Holly & Carlos imperfectly perfect for each other.

I loved the twists & turns that kept me flipping the pages! I absolutely adored that the previous characters of the series made cameos!

I can’t wait to see what Grahame Claire comes up with next!

Carlos Calderon just wanted a normal life. Will his past follow him and put his family in danger. Holly is a single mom just going day to day to do what is best for her son.

Chemistry flies off the charts between Carlos and Holly, however, are they willing to take that second chance on life and love and at what cost.

We also see familiar characters along the way. I have loved the series from the beginning and look forward to more.

Bravo!

This is such an edgy story, it will take you to the brink and back again over and over. Carlos past is dark and dangerous and he is determined to correct all the wrong done by his father's cartel. 5+++ stars

A troubled drug Cartel prince's shattered life finds some peace.

Carlos has plotted against his father for all the atrocities he committed.  He had to send off his sister for what her own father was doing to her.  His mother was brutally killed and Carlos carried that pain as well as losing his sister.  After he removed their threat and especially his sister's, he had to escape and he went states-side to hide.  Finally he gets to see his beloved sister as so so many years.
His life is now in New York City with his sister Muriella and her extended family.  Here he runs into Holly and her young son.  Carlos has never met anyone like her and the reaction he has from her.  Her son Gabriel is such character you can't help but love him.  Carlos can't believe the reaction his heart has from Holly and Gabriel.  But he still remembers the darkness he carries.
Donato, Daniel and Stone become his allies.  Their main goal is to take care of their wives and families which also includes the extended families.  You can't help but laugh at their antics and cheer them on with protecting their families to whatever levels they have to go.
Carlos is afraid that the cartel is going to find out he didn't die in the fire.  He keeps a look out so that Holly and Gabriel stay safe.  He is betrayed and things start to change.  He and what he considers his new family are in danger.
Luckily Donato and Daniel have the man power to put security on them.  The love of the whole family network is so great to experience.  And the liveliness of Gabriel brings so much laughter while reading the book.
Grahame Claire wrote a fantastic book with such great characters.  Carlos and Holly are so hot together.  There's so much love to experience, danger and family loyalty.  Definitely recommend this book along with the other books in Paths to Love series.  You get to experience so many different things with all the personalities.  Loved this book.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

This series just gets better!! Carlos is such a special person in the series. His devotion and love for his sister has been evident in not only her book but his as well. He feels so much guilt over what he had to do for his father but he has so much love in him as well. We first met Holly and her son Gabriel in Mulaney and Eastons book since Holly is Mulaney’s assistant. Holly’s love for her son is easy to see in all that she does for him. Carlos took to Gabriel as if the boy had always been son. This book was about finding peace and learning how to forgive yourself. There was a lot of suspense as well as sweet moments thrown in the mix. Carlos and Holly learned that together they had support and one another’s healing balm.

I thought it was odd that some things that happened and were resolved in book 3, Heartbreaker, were in this story as if the situations were new.

How could you not fall in love with Carlos? I was not sure Holly was going to be right for him but Carlos made her see the light and what a light it was. I enjoyed them as a couple and loved Gabriel. I love when kids are part of the storyline - they have no filter.

To enjoy this series I recommend you read the books in order.

This was crazy story! I had to suspend my disbelief a few times over choices some of the characters made, especially with the insta love nature of their relationship. This was a extremely bad boy with a heart of gold gets the good girl romance. Loved it and a lot of questions created in the last book where answered here. Well worth the read.

This was an okay read. I liked the plot but felt the story fell flat. There was so much additional information that wasn't needed and it ended up overshadowing the actual key points. To be honest I skipped a little because I got bored and wanted to see how it ended. There were so many characters but none memorable enough to remember so I did get a confused on who was who a few times. The story itself is about a single mom to an adorable little boy who falls for Carlos who is trying to find redemption for his sins.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨Stars⠀

“I'd become part of a world I hated; death was the centerpiece on which it spun.”⠀

Writing 5 Stars - Grahame Claire’s writing is quite strong. Everything flows well, and the story unfolds nicely. ⠀

“Her reaction was as if I'd burned her. Maybe an angel like her could feel the flames that encapsulated my soul.”⠀

Characters 5 Stars - Carlos and Holly were spectacular. When we meet Carlos, he’s doing something shocking, but necessary. Both Carlos and Holly were opposing forces who somehow fit so right together. I deeply understood and empathized with both of their viewpoints. Their relationship was mature, not filled with petty disagreements or annoying misunderstandings.⠀

“Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. Beauty will rise in the wake of the destruction.”⠀

Plot 5 Stars - Oooh, so many twists thrown in here. That’s all I’m saying!⠀

“Her hair was silk around my rough finger, one that had pulled a trigger more times than I could count. The contrast was profound.”⠀

Setting 4 Stars - The setting mostly shifted between various apartments and offices. While I tend to get bored with casual settings, the story is so well-written that I really can’t complain.⠀

“Fairy tales weren’t carriages and castles and fairy godmothers. They were two paths of battle scars and mistakes and imperfection that led to each other and became one.”⠀

Unputdownable 4 Stars - I enjoyed coming back to this book, but it took me a couple weeks to finish.⠀

“He couldn’t be sweet to me. Not now. I needed him to use my body, not steal my soul.”⠀

Dialogue 4 Stars - No complaints. Dialogue advanced the plot well.⠀

“He was a cartel king. A killer. And the most beautiful person I’d ever known.”⠀

Definitely check out this book if you enjoy slow burn romances, tortured heroes who have hearts of gold and dirty mouths, and strong, self-sufficient heroines who are loyal.

A story of a dangerous man that is out t find redemption for the things he has had to do in his life and he finds that in a beautiful woman and a small child. Carlos has had to live a hard life to survive and protect those he cares about and now he is out of that lifestyle and wants to atone for the bad he has done. Holly is a single mother to a 5 year old and has worked hard all her life to give him the best and make sure his life is a perfect as it can be, so when she meets Carlos she knows he is a bad guy and tries so hard to fight her attraction to him. As time goes on Carlos proves to Holly that he is there for her and Gabriel, will do anything for them, and protect them with all he is. Holly can't fight her attraction so they pursue things and Carlos' past comes knocking so she is worried about her and Gabriel's safety. There is a lot of push and pull, a fierce loving alpha make who fights for what he wants, and twist and turns you don't see coming. I loved that we got to see the other characters from previous books and loved how fiercely he loved Holly and Gabriel.

Another amazing book by Grahame Claire. The story of Holly and Carlos will take through a roller coaster of emotions. They both think they don’t deserve love. They have both been through a lot. They come from two different worlds.
I love the intensity of how this book had me on the edge. The romance, passion, and suspense of what will happen made it perfect.

Another amazing read and one of the best of 2019. I can’t wait for more from Grahame Claire.

Finding Peace

What a story!!! I absolutely loved Carlos. And Gabriel was just a sweetie. Carlos had so much to overcome but I loved how the author showed you his struggle to find redemption. The writing was superb as I felt every emotion. Living his type of life takes years to overcome. I love that his struggle continued and wasn’t a quick fix. He and Holly make a great family. I’m so glad I found this author. I love this series and highly recommend it.
