Summer of First Kisses #3

When Everything Changes

Rate this book
I know everything about boys—except how to kiss one.

This summer has been weird.

All my friends are finding love and I'm the last one who still hasn't been kissed. Now I have a bet with my friend Piper to see who can meet someone new and get a kiss. I thought it might motivate me because I hate to lose.

The problem is I'm not exactly what guys are looking for—unless they're looking for someone to shoot hoops or play soccer with. When they want a girl to date, well, that's a different story.

Maybe if I wore skirts or flirted and pouted my lips at them. But I don't know how.
I'm counting on Cooper to help me figure this out. He's my best friend so I know he'll help me.

I just wish I knew why he was acting strange and why everyone seems to know something I don't.

Wow! I’m loving these new YA romance authors that I am discovering ! ❤️❤️

In this short book, which can be read as a stand-alone or with the series, we meet very altheletic and tomboyish Olivia or Liv to her friends. She is everything that a Normal girl isn’t (in her opinion). She is very sporty and competitive, she competes with her brothers and her neighbours in the loudest burp competitions and she loves to eat with them, like eating whole pizzas during game and movie nights.
But she is slowing realising that all her friends are going out with their boyfriends and having lots of fun. Feeling self-conscious, she thinks she isn’t girly enough for a guy to want to date her, considering she has never had a date with a guy before.
She wants to seek help from her neighbour and best friend Cooper, but he is acting strange around her. But to win a bet with her friend on who will kiss a stranger first, she needs advice from him and he is willing to help.

But what will happen after she begins to feel something else for him? Will it ruin her friendship with Cooper?

Watch how a feisty and sporty girl connects with the adorable and cute twin next door to her. She will fall in love with these characters, including the annoying wing-man, Cooper’s twin Zane.

Highly recommend this sweet and laughable series :)

Cute!

This is a great addition to this series. Sweet young adult romance (on the younger side) revolving around a group of friends and first kisses. I love the summer setting with beaches and pool parties. This is a cute one!

Liv lives with her dad and two brothers, and with twins Cooper and Zane English next door it's like she's swimming in a sea of testosterone. She's never really thought about it until now--since her friend Piper made it her mission to get Kat, Sadie and Liv their first kiss before summer ends. Kat and Sadie have gotten their kisses and now have boyfriends, while Liv worries she's "going to be the only girl to end the summer with virgin lips."

Liv's into sports, she's very competitive (even in burping contest with her brothers), and usually wears shorts and t-shirts. She asks her friends to go dress shopping with her and she enlists her best friend Cooper to help her learn how to be more girly, and practice dating. The thing is Cooper likes Liv.

This is another cute addition to the YA series Summer of First Kisses. Liv feels she has to change in order to attract guys. There was a hilarious scene at the pool party which had me laughing out loud, and then a scene soon after that had me feeling so sorry for poor LIv. I think this is my favorite of the series. This is a clean YA story.

I received a complimentary copy but all thoughts expressed in my review are my own.

I love this series! The books should be read in order to get the full scoop on the story line and characters, and it's a fun set. Most of the girls in a group of friends hasn't ever been kissed and they're out to get their first one before they all set off for college.

Tomboy Liv has no idea what guys want, but is determined to find out. This author does a great job of bringing the awkward stage of a first love to life. This group of friends is one I would want to be a part of and I love reading each of their stories, but I really loved Liv's character and personality, as I watched her navigate this tricky time of life, but I especially loved watching her figure herself out.

This series is such a fun, sweet romance, carefree collection and makes me long to be a teen in a beach town, enjoying the simpler times of life, hah!

Content: mild romance

Super cute story. This is part of a series and the books need to be read in order. I read this all in one sitting as it’s a pretty quick read and it moves at a very fast pace. I think this one was my favourite of the books so far. I, just looking forward to reading Zane’s story next.

3.5 stars- I actually loved this story more than the first. It was so good. Liv and cooper were the sweetest. Their friendship was just adorable.

I must admit that although the books in this series have a similar premise (teenaged girls getting their first kiss before summer ends) I like how creative the author is in developing the stories differently. Even her writing changes slightly and I can tell that I’m reading about someone else. I don’t feel that I’m reading the same story over and over with characters that are all the same. This is my favorite in the series. Really enjoyed it.

When Everything Changes is another in the series Summer Of First Kisses. In this book we hear the story of Liv and her struggles of wanting a guy of her own. She felt like she always was considered one of the guys and that she didn't know if she was able to be feminine. But Cooper already had feelings for her and she just thought he was considering her one of the guys. So Liv and Piper make a bet to kiss a new guy they go out with first. This was a mistake for Liv and chaos ensues. Another good YA story to be out on your to be read list.

Sweet humorous novels

Olivia, Liv, is a great, dedicated athlete that has been raised around brothers and neighbor boys. She loves competition and competes with her friends many of whom are boys. She is beautiful but lacks in confidence of how to be girly. It is a cute story of becoming aware of being a young woman and her friends determination to help her with this.

Sweet YA

This was a light, sweet read. I enjoyed the friendship between Liv and Cooper. It was a nice quick read that took my back to my youth. I remember all the insecurities of that time of life and first love. Great friends to couple book.

Quick, fun summer read

What do you do when you find yourself in love with your best friend? Make a bet about kissing someone else.
A coming of age story where being yourself isn't always the best idea. Or is it ?
Cute characters, fun friendships. Clean

Fun friends to lovers story

I like that this YA series is set just after high school when thry are transitioning into adulthood. It's such a crazy time in life and I remember changing my whole look before I left for college, so I can relate to these girls who are starting to see things a little differently. Cooper and Liv have been neighbors and friends all their lives. I liked how their relationship was deeper than just hanging out and playing sports together. Instead Liv knew she could really talk to Cooper and he was aware of her moods. It's a sweet relationship and one that is a perfect segue into something more. This was a fun sweet story. I'm excited for the next book.

I'm not usually drawn to YA romance stories but I have to make an exception for this series. And of the ones I've read in this series, When Everything Changes is my favorite. I loved Liv, a young woman whose mom has passed away and who is surrounded by guys--her dad, her brothers, and the twin boys next door. She is a tomboy and is just beginning to figure out her femininity. She feels unsure of how she appears to guys (gorgeous) and she is attracted to Cooper, one of the twins that she has grown up with. Cooper returns her feelings but they both lack confidence about how to move out of the friend zone. It is such a sweet story and I love the full acceptance that Cooper has for this less than girly-girl. Highly recommend!

This is a fun quick read about best friends who like each other but are afraid to do anything about it. I like Connor and Liv. They are great together. Connor has known Liv for years and he likes her for who she. Liv is afraid she is too to boyish to ever have a guy interested in her. I read this in one setting and my interest was held the whole time.

Quick, sweet, cliche

It was a quick and easy beachy teen read. The girls were all self conscious and worried about their looks, and every person only ever told them they were beautiful and they just couldnt see it. Sounds like a familiar pop song....

Alright

I've read some of her books...and they're always alright. Just alright. Nothing special. Just bland. Every teen romance author out there is writing the same cliche books....and hers is nothing special.

Cooper and Liv’s story was perfect. I love how all of the girls in the group are so different and how their friendship is genuine. Liv’s character is unique and refreshing - not all girls need to be girlie! Another quick, clean read.
