These are lovely little books, simple and just the right size for small hands. We used these as beginner readers. This story is about a small child and his baby brother, nothing much happens, just a small glance into their life with very nice illustrations and simple text.

Available to read on open library.

This story is about a boy who has a new born brother has a baby. The baby often cried, and takes his mother’s attention away from him. This is when the boy does not like the baby, but sometimes he does when the baby plays with toys. The boy cannot wait for his baby brother to grow up so they can actually play together!

The Baby by John Burningham is a very simplistic book that is geared towards kids who are quite young. The story is a very quick read that is about a child being an older brother and dealing with a baby in the house. It deals with how he feels about the baby and what he thinks about it. It's nothing complex and is helpful for dealing with young children with younger siblings.
I think its a cute little book with interesting illustrations. The style is almost child like and sketched with coloring that's sometimes outside the line. I think that that style is a good way to connect to smaller children. The story expressed the feelings of a child with a baby in the house in a way that is like a child is narrating it. This would be a good tool to use if you're having to interact with kids that are expecting a new sibling or are currently dealing with a new sibling. An example would be when the story says "Sometimes i like the baby. Sometimes i don't.", this shows the children reading/listening that sometimes it's okay to not like your sibling all the time. It shows that there will be good times and bad times with their new brother or sister. this would be really good for kids that are having to deal with a new baby and having to deal with not being the only kid in the house anymore.
