About the author

A specialist in slavery and gender in the early Atlantic world, Betty Wood earned a BA in geography at Keele University in 1967, an MA in social and economic history at the University of London in 1968, and a Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania in 1973. Wood taught at Girton College, Cambridge from 1971 until her retirement in 2013, where she served as Director of Studies in History from 1974 until 1984.

Was not what I expected...started out interesting with some of the history behind color use in ancient civilizations. Then it got into the real point of the book, which is chakric color healing...guess I should have read the title literally instead of figuratively.

This reads like a high school book report. She doesnt mention auras until pg 74 of 109 so interested parties should probably start there. The last 10 pgs literally constitute the entire process of using color, which I believe and am interested in, to heal.

pity I can't give this a lower rating. It reads like a term paper and has far more information about what colors you are drawn to, not about actual healing.
