A relatively short and somewhat impressionistic history of the Amin years in Uganda. Well written and not sensationalist; based greatly on interviews with people in Uganda shortly after Amin was overthrown, and government documents the author had access to. Limited in scope but still of interest.
While the writing is drier than northern Uganda it does provide interesting context for the Idi Amin years and is a worthwhile read for those who want an understanding of that period in uganda's history.
