This is a secondary school level book as part of a world Leaders series. Nevertheless, I found it interesting and it enhanced my weak history of the time period. It covers the roman world, its leaders and the development of Christianity in late 3rd and early 4th century leading up to the founding of Constantinople. Places mentioned were those where I had travelled in the last couple of years, including France, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece and Turkey including the cities of Ephesus, Split , and Zadar. Although targeted at young audiences wit was written in a mature style with a thoughtful introduction on Leadership by Artur M Schlesinger, Jr.
Recommended for a quicker refresher on the western world before the dark ages.
