The story has been divided into five parts and has been written in simple, easy to understand language.
The characters are realistic. At the beginning I felt sorry for little Shagun, but three pages later my perception changed. The back story of Shagun as given by the author made me realise why she did what she did.
The story has been plotted well and it was difficult to know who did it till almost the end of the book. The story has been portrayed in such a way that every time the suspect list increased, I used to feel that this person did it.
This book is the first that I read by the author and I must say, it is a page turner. It is fast paced and I was unable to put it down till I reached the end. Loved it and am looking forward to read more from her.

Quick, short thriller.

The murder mystery was built well. But there were sometimes when I found the story lagging. But overall Mili Ray and ACP Purab were good together as they were able to solve the mystery as they moved from one scene to other.
The childhood scenes were especially very well written and I enjoyed reading it generating more empathy for that character.

Absolute page-turner!

Strong plot combined with an equally strong narration and the ability to keep the reader on the edge, make ‘Who Killed the Murderer?’ a book worth each minute spent. When eleven year old Shagun Mehra is forced to spend an entire night in a rat infested room, her entire world turns topsy-turvy. The psychological aftermath of this incident, a prank played by two boys, leads to death……death…..and more death. An altogether altered personality, little Shagun finds a great ally in her mother Mrs. Mehra. Does Shagun heal? Does she find true love? ……… 206 pages of a thrilling read, provide the answers.

‘Who Killed the Murderer?’ is in every aspect a psychological thriller par excellence, which offers a great takeaway. Takeaway?......Yes. Once you come to the end of the book, you realize that parental love is not all about shielding your child, and overlooking their faults. It demands that you understand the trauma an experience as frightening as Shagun’s offers, and take immediate remedial steps like counseling and treatment. The mind should be put to rest on time, else the wounds won’t heal, and the little one will be scarred for life. The repercussions can be the birth of a criminal, a psychopath, or an introvert subject to deep depression. Life takes a dark hue, and along with the child and its family, Society too suffers.

Strong characterization, wonderful narration, and lucid language, complement the plot, making it one of the best in this genre.

VERDICT

A brainteaser novel that keeps the reader guessing till the end, offers a lot in terms of not only entertainment, but also food for thought.

Murder is hating in the worst form. Maybe the victim deserved it but still it cannot be justified. Whodunit has quintessential charm. This is once more in the long list of mysteries.

Shagun has been through a traumatic experience in childhood which scarred her for life. When she grew up, she is bitter and ambitious. Her husband Chetan is not happy in marriage and they are heading for divorce. So, when she is killed in mysterious circumstances police first choice as accused is Chetan. Chetan’s brother approach Mili Ray to prove him innocent. However, Mili is dealing with her own demons. Can she help him?

The book progresses at breakneck speed and engrossed me. I completed it quickly. Though I didn’t like Mili at some points and found her too moody and uncontrolled. She maybe a good detective but bit eccentric. She also has visions. There are many red herrings and some secrets of showbiz. Overall a good quick read.

I would have definitely given this book 4 stars if my murderer guess would have been wrong. Though, the story was very engaging the book lost it charm on it's end because of predictable suspect.

The second thing which I don't liked and again it came in climax was the 360 degree change in Shagun's perception from an evil women to some innocent sufferer. No doubt, she had a very traumatic experience in young age, but that doesn't justify of her going on killing spree of her enemies (which include killing of his own innocent twin bother) or torturing her own family so misreably.

Overall an average read.

Will you pick a book by seeing the title alone? I picked it up the moment author offered me the review copy. Such a captivating title and you will get the answer for the title too in the first few pages itself.

The start would be nerve biting tale.Definitely I should mention about the mental trigger factors in this book. I found it little hard to cope up or make peace with that fact. There are various and different kinds of mental health issue in this world. This story has been set on one such thing. There is no such thing called small incident in anyone life. A small spark is enough to consume our mental health. Be cautious,be attentive to small change in kids and be kind.

The first half is the well played part. I had hell lot of doubts as the story progressed. Many questions will popup here that there,I mean almost in half of the book. You will actually doubt the sanity of the victim. You will be tossed between right and wrong. You will feel pity and also be angry at the same time. That’s the best part of this novel.

Everyone has their past and detective Mili too has her own world to get diluted. The course of investigation was fast and kept suspects list to grow on its own pace. Could someone be this devious and evil? well you have to see the victim, the antagonist. A victim throughout her life . Author has specially worked for this character. All other characters were opted to confuse you to the core. There was not much space for others.

Likes

Title and the back drop story.Language and narration was simpleA short novel which could be finished in one sit.

Dislikes

The trigger subject which could haunt you sometime ( Though it was heavy, could be considered as an experience too)The detective character was put on light side, Mili was not much intriguing as like other detectives we have already read.

I want to give this two stars but I can't.

Why does this book have a high rating anyway? I tried to give it a chance but somethings are off-putting. It feels like a twelve-year-old wrote it, to be honest. Still, let me start with the good things about this book:
* The title is simple but intriguing.
* The cover is really good. It was the title and the cover that pulled me toward this book.
* The plot wasn't bad at all.
* And Shagun was a great character. (The reason why this has the one-star)
So now that I finished with the parts I liked let's get to the fun part:

*WRITING STYLE: I'm sorry but the author doesn't know how to write. Maybe my expectations are too high or maybe I've just read a lot of good authors but the wordplay and the writing style is just lacking. It's not humourous, it is not flavourful or anything that would make me enjoy it. You could argue that she uses simple English but that's not it. I have read books in simple English that do not give the vibe that a twelve-year-old wrote it.

*CHARACTERS: That is the character of everyone apart from Shagun. They are just bland and nothing about them is properly explained. Especially Milli who is supposed to the protagonist of the story is often contradicting. She just sometimes acts in a completely irrational way and the author blames it on the panic attacks but that is just not how real people behave. ACP Trehan--- what can I say about him. Why do you call him ACP Trehan anyway, especially if he is a love interest? Why not call him Purab you know, what his actual name is- like normal people do? Also, we get a lot of scenes with him and Milli with no chemistry whatsoever and them acting in a contradictory way opposed to what their characters are. For example, Purab is a fricking ISP officer who has passed the UPSC exam. He is supposed to be smart not a lovesick puppy he is portrayed to be. Indira Mehra and Damini Seth have some character but their husbands are just their husbands. It is like they are there- just for- because husbands. And Chetan also seems to be there - because The Husband

* INTERACTION: There are a lot of interactions in this book. No descriptions whatsoever just character interactions. So, you might expect them to be good but bummer- they are not. How people interact in this book is not how they interact in real life. Some scenes just make me want to laugh they are so direct and sometimes unreal. I already said that but that is exactly what defines it.

There are a lot of small issues with this book but I won't mention them here coz it would take an eternity to list them out. However, the ones I mentioned are extremely off-putting and make my head ache. I wouldn't recommend this book to you unless you want a headache. With commendable thanks to the author who wrote it and the editor who ignored it. ( I had to skip a lot of pages cause it just got boring at some point, just saying) So yeah.

Who Killed the Murderer by Moitrayee Bhaduri is a brilliant murder mystery tale. The text is so lucid, free-flowing, and crisp that I finished the book in just about two days. It was a thorough entertainer right from the first page until the end.

The initial chapters about the childhood trauma of Shagun Seth, around whose murder the whole novel evolves, were pretty scary. But soon, you are appalled at how Shagun shaped up as an unapologetic criminal, how her parents did nothing about her erratic behavior, but in fact, encouraged and supported her, and how her marital life was also dysfunctional due to this.

What's more shocking was her treating her own children cruelly - even motherhood did not make her kind! Here too, her husband and in-laws should have forcibly taken her to consult a psychiatrist, and maybe she could have transformed into a sane person. But well, that did not happen.

After Shagun is murdered and detective Mili Ray takes charge of her case, the narrative changes and focuses on the subsequent steps of the investigation with flashbacks to the lives of Shagun and the people close to her. At times it felt that each and every character related to her had enough motive to commit the murder and ample opportunities of doing so. And though clues are strewn for the reader, it's not until the last moment that one can guess who the real killer is. And that is the whole point of a delectable Whodunnit, really! If you can guess the murderer as a reader, you would rather be disappointed. The surprise element at the end was a winner!

For some reason, though I was reading a murder mystery, the book did not give me any feeling of sinister from the moment Mili Ray was introduced. Though she was fighting her own demons in the book, she emitted a certain radiance of hope and confidence. As a reader, maybe the warmth her character exudes, made me feel at peace. I was somehow confident that Mili would catch the killer in the end.

The way the name of the murderer and the method of murder are revealed, at a congregation of all the suspects, is bound to remind you of a few famous endings in certain Feluda novels by Satyajit Ray. The author has introduced generous doses of wit and intelligence throughout the novel, which I enjoyed. I also learned the usage of a few new words, such as "shrink" and "history-sheeter"!

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable book, go for it!

The story revolves around the protagonist Shagun who was suffering from 'Rage Disorder' because of one dreadful incident from her childhood which changed her life completely and turned her into a murderer to the extent that she murdered her own twin brother. The book is a perfect blend of psychology, suspense, thrill and drama. The unique title and the catchy cover is what provoked me to read this book. The book was more about interogation by the detective and police to solve the case. The characters were well-build and the author has done a commendable job in narration. The author has conveyed her message that how taking psychological help is necessary if someone is having behavioural issues. The ending was very unpredictable. The book involved a good research work about the film industry and psychology.

First of all a huge thanks to the author and the team for sharing the opportunity to read the book and express my honest take on it

What amazed me about the whole plot was the fact that the author had practically thrown every character under the bus. You couldn’t help but be suspicious of almost all the characters of being the murderer. Oh did I miss to mention that this is a murder mystery ?

So as I said every chapter was bringing suspicion to the characters and because of which it made it impossible to actually pin on one track where you could confidently say that this is where the murderer will be.

This mere fact made the entire plot interesting and exciting. The other thing definitely being the language and the pace. The language is at its simplest best. I think it is crucial especially in case of an intricate mystery to help understand the plot better and help one immerse not the plot so effectively

I loved the simplicity of the book because it helped me actually visualise the scenes and even let get acquainted with each of these characters and their backdrops. The story flows smoothly and keeps it perfectly clear and easy to follow

If you love a good mystery, then this would be perfect. The best part is that with the pace and easier narration you would be easily able to wrap up the book in just hours . It is that immersive and quick entertainer.

Who doesn’t love a well-plotted, juicy murder mystery that entails complex brainstorming and Moitrayee Bhaduri doesn’t disappoint.
The story germinates in Shagun’s childhood, how a school trauma affects her entire life ahead and changes her as a person. Revealing more would be doling out spoilers, so I’ll refrain from that. But, as a reader, you should read the early chapters carefully for clues later. Shagun grows up to be an obnoxious person whom most people hate, including her son. It’s an extraordinary characterisation of a beautiful, successful woman living in an empty shell otherwise.

I downloaded this book on my Kindle and read it one day. I have read books like this in the past but this book was unputdownable in a different sort of way. I loved the detective and hoped something would happen between Mili and the ACP. Maybe in another book, something will brew.
So, the character arc of Shagun Mehra nee Seth has come out well. I was unable to sympathize with her despite her traumatic experience. I just could not forgive her for being so evil.

I recommend this book to all mystery lovers.

Who Killed the Murderer – A full circle that completes only at an increased radius. We tend to judge an individual based on their present negative actions without having an iota of knowledge about their traumatic past.
The plot revolves around the murder of reputed Television Personality, Shagun Seth, who herself became a murderer at the age of 11 years.

The novel dates to the year 1994, when a prank played by her classmates, forces negative character transformation of Shagun Mehra at an age of 11 years, for an entire lifetime. Consequently, Shagun commits her first ever crime of taking revenge on her innocent twin brother. Maybe had Shagun not received the unnecessary over-protective treatment from her mother thenceforth, she could have won her life-long battle with her internal demons, with flying colours.

The novel progresses by depicting the side-effect of childhood trauma taking a serious toll on the personal life of Shagun Seth née Mehra. The lack of much-needed psychiatric help at young age forces Shagun to gradually drift away from her own biological children. In fact, Shagun transforms from a caring mother to a living nightmare for her children at their tender age. Her drastically changing equation in personal life shattered her dream of being a successful actor, even before it takes off properly.

The novel projects the parallel life two female characters – Shagun, the Antagonist turned Protagonist and Supercop Ex-DCP MIli Ray, the sleuth detective. On one side, Shagun succumbs to her internal demons. On the contrary, Mili successfully combats her mental demons and emerges as a winner to seek justice on behalf of Shagun.

Mili has uniquely transformed from a successful DCP, who manifests terror in the
heart of dangerous criminals to a Private Investigator who hesitates to take up her second case after turning down more than 15 cases at a stretch within a year.

Unlike the perfect superheroes of comic strips, Mili needs to put up a strong fight against her panic attacks. She frequently loses her self-control over the inbound flood of premonitions. She needs to pop up pills every now and then to get a grip on her panic attacks.

In spite of her never-ending traumatic condition, Shagun counts on her other mother and thereby comes clean about everything to her one fine morning. But unknowingly, she got betrayed by her mother in the disguise of over-protection. This betrayal cum over-protection not only forced her to give up her dream career of dancing but gradually claimed her life along with her mother once and for all.

According to me, most striking part of the novel is towards the climax initiation, when Mili firmly accuses every individual of the surrounding society for the miserable fate of Shagun.

In our daily dose of rat race, we fail to take up the issues of child bullying seriously. This drawback on our part, results in fatal outcome to others in the long run. Bullying negatively transforms individuals like Shagun irrespective of their creative influence. Characters like Shagun usually remain eye-sore to their loved ones and only a few gets to know about their mental abrasions of young age.

𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐑 by 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶 is an absolute psychological crime thriller fiction you must owe and will keep you hooked right from the first page.

When TV actress Shagun Seth mysteriously dies in a beauty parlour in Mumbai, her mother slams murder charges on Shagun’s banker husband Chetan Seth.

Chetan’s family suspects that he is being framed and requests private detective Mili Ray to investigate. As Mili and her lawyer-associate Gatha start work, Chetan is released on bail. Soon after, Shagun’s mother is killed! Is Chetan responsible for these murders?

Mili probes deeper and unravels shocking secrets buried beneath Shagun’s world of glitz that leave her baffled. An insecure boyfriend, an estranged husband, an opportunist colleague, a cunning TV producer – Shagun was surrounded by Haters. Even her twelve-year-old son didn't want to see her alive.

Why did everyone hate Shagun? While meandering through dysfunctional family upheavals and dark showbiz sagas, ex-super cop Mili Ray also struggles to tame her internal demons. Will she be able to solve her second case as a private detective or succumb to pressure and hang up her boots?

This is a 214-page read, a very well-written novel with easy language which makes you read flawlessly and relate to the characters more. You would doubt every character you read right from the beginning. Every chapter puts light on different suspects like you couldn't help it.

The entire story was so gripping and thrilling I can't explain until you read it by yourself. I'm so sure that you would not be able to put it down unless you complete the whole tale. The scenes came actually in visualisation. Neatly arranged small chapters to keep you biting your nails.

A perfectly clear and easy flow story. I would highly recommend it to any mystery, crime-thriller lovers.

A good story emphasising on some important issues such as childhood trauma, dysfunctional families, bad parenting, bullying and the need for child counseling at the right time. The characters and the events are all quite dark from the very beginning, to hold the reader's interest.
The author designed Shagun as a much different and complex lead character. She had rage issues and obsession with certain things because of certain unaddressed childhood traumas. This book shows how the lack of right support as a child destroyed the lives of Shagun and her family. We are lagging behind in terms of awareness and action about mental health. I appreciate the author for choosing an important topic like this. The author makes one empathise with the lead girl who did unimaginable things as a child.

Shagun's murder is investigated by Mili Ray, a private detective and ex-police. Like you would know from the blurb, all the suspicion is on her marital family.

The investigation was quite good. But why I gave three stars is because at the ending, it all seemed rushed up. The killer cleaned his crime like a pro. All the things went in his way suitably. Similarly, towards the end, the investigator suddenly got a doubt on someone and worked that link.

The climax, which is vital because that is where we understand who killed her and why, should have been more thought about. The narration and language isn't great compared to the books I read.

One-time read if the summary and rhe first few pages manage to grab your attention.

2.5

This was my debut read from Moitrayee Bhaduri's store. The plot was good but the narration was sickening, for the lack of a better word. An investigation of a crime involves more than interrogation and googling. Truckloads of information were packed in each of the chapters and just like that the detective reached the solution! The facts were too many and too repetitive to process for the reader. Shagun Seth's inexplicable anger and violence have been emphasised so much that interest in the plot dwindles midway.
Apart from the chief victim's in-laws, nobody was cross-questioned. The worker at the beauty salon was suspected to be hiding facts but was never called again! There are inconsistencies in the chapters.. It is said that Pooja was sitting in the living room when the detective and her friend went to interrogate the family but then her mother says that pooja was at the office! The beauty salon worker is called by Dr.Jahan to come over and when she arrives, she is asked why she had come at that hour! Unacceptable!

The killer made so many arrangements at the place of the murder without anybody noticing it!! Mumbai is a very busy city and yet absolutely nobody saw the killer making all such arrangements.

Milli Ray's panic attacks were unnecessary digressions and made me impatient as a reader. Not impressed at all. The plot, as written earlier, was really impressive but the execution was too poor to say the least. Not recommended.

This is the second book I am reading from the author’s kitty and she doesn’t disappoint.

Overall, this story tackles an essential aspect of mental health. Though the author hasn’t delved into the technicalities, she has brought them out through the characters.

Shagun Seth, a popular TV actress, gets mysteriously murdered and in the eye of the legal storm of suspects, is her estranged husband Chetan Seth. He is arrested based on the complaint filed by Shagun’s mother. He gets released on bail even as Pvt detective Mili Ray and her lawyer-associate Gatha take up the case. However, soon after, Shagun’s mother is killed in what appears to be a similar MO. Chetan is once again a suspect.

Mili begins her probe and gets deeper even as the mystery deepens. As the layers of Shagun’s personality get peeled off, Mili discovers shocking stories from the woman’s past, rooted in a horrific event from her childhood. The suspects increase… right from her husband to her boyfriend, from the world of glitz and even her children who disliked her. Shagun’s behaviour bordering on psychosis gets at the vortex of things.

Mili has to tame her internal demons as well as she resolves one mystery after the other. Shagun has killed before and not just once… what more does Mili discover? Can she reach the murderer before someone else gets killed?

The story is fast-paced, dark and thrilling. A recommended read for those who love the genre.

In the fast paced life and ever changing world, it becomes essential to sustain mental balance. But there are some incidents in one's childhood that makes one to crib all through their life and the haunting demons keep returning. The person might become successful professionally but from inside, he stays in his own cocoon and proves to be detrimental for the people surrounding him.

Shagun is the central character in the story. In the makeshift world that she has created leads to everyone hating her. Her personal life is in shambles and even her little son abhors her. Before the readers are made aware of the complete reasons behind her weird persona, she is killed. The obvious suspect is her husband who never shared a healthy equation with her. And then comes the detective Mili Ray who is fighting her own battle but still handle this case with her observant eye. What happens next is certainly a treat to read and witness

For a thrilling tale, it is cumbersome to give space to every character and then be able to pull out their past narratives as well with precision. But here, the author does it with ease. She treats each of her character even the antagonist with utmost care and in a mysterious read, shows a glimpse of showbiz world too. Also the book inculcates a life long learning about how parent's role in shaping the future of their ward is so crucial.

A nasty prank of two, which leads to a disaster....

Book: Who killed the murderer?
Author: Moitrayee Bhaduri
Pages: 212

Review:
This is the first book of this author that I have read. The book is divided into 5 parts, and it has a total of 34 chapters.
The first 3 pages describe how an innocent and joyful girl is dragged into a nasty prank and suffers a ptsd. This incident changed her behavior a lot, and she believed her brother was also a part of the prank by which she developed a sort of grudge towards him, which ends up killing him. Here, when a person suffers from a mental incident when should take precautions after that so that the damage which was made can be reduced. The big mistake made by the mehra family was not consulting a psychiatrist after that incident. That may have stopped a lot of murders or the behavior change in shagun.
The book also focuses on child abuse, and the murderer will be most evident at a point in time when we can guess.
It's worth a one-time read. You can also sense the friendship and companionship between gatha-milli, milli-purab.
The one thing that I didn't have clarity was the visions that millie used to have and which led to panick attack. Was she cured, and what were the visions she used have, was she a psychic 🔮 🤔? Dont know?

The Plot - TV actress Shagun Seth mysteriously dies in a beauty parlour in Mumbai. Her mother slams murder charges on Shagun’s husband Chetan Seth. Chetan’s family suspects that he is being framed and requests private detective Mili Ray to investigate. As Mili and her lawyer-associate Gatha start work, Chetan is released on bail. Soon after, Shagun’s mother is killed!

To know who was the murderer, you have to read this book. The main USP of the book is the plot. Why Shagun had become the murderer? Why she used to behave rudely with her son? Why the past used to irritate her constantly? Readers will get the answers of all these questions in this gripping psychological thriller.

But I didn't like few things -
1. Why a private detective worked with a police officer to investigate a murder case when we all know that a private detective doesn't have any power or legal sanction to do so.
2. The steps of investigation i.e how step by step the actual culprit got booked in this murder case is not clearly depicted.
3. I want to know by using which software anyone can easily disable any CCTV footage ?
4. Although the end was not predictable but in my opinion it was not fully logical.

But still I have enjoyed the writing style, plot building, characterisation etc. I want to read more books, written by Ms Moitrayee Bhaduri in future.

Who killed the murderer? by Moitrayee Bhaduri
.
.
About the book:
The book starts with a horrific incident wherein an innocent 11 year old is a victim of a vicious childhood prank and locked in a dark and dingy room, infested with rodents, overnight. .
Shagun Seth grows up, gets married and has a family but the childhood trauma is buried deep into her psyche and she herself has transformed into an avenging virago. But then , she is suddenly found murdered. Whodunit? Why, what, where and how??

.
Review :
The title is apt to the context and the cover pic is intriguing as well
The language is lucid , clear and easy to understand
The pace of the book is also good and it is a page turner too.
Some uneccessary characters who don't contribute to the story could have been avoided .
Opinion and Ratings :
The story starts off really well, is quick paced and interesting. There are significant twists and turns to intrigue the reader. However I'm of the opinion that the character, detective Mili Ray is unnecessary and so is her assistant. Could have been a straight forward police case. .

Rating :⭐⭐⭐ good

Who Killed The Murder is an amazing book in murder mystery genre written by Moitrayee Bhaduri.
The story is very well narrated by the author. There are shorts chapters which makes it easy to read the book. The story is mainly about Shagun Seth, who was a TV actress. Shagun died mysteriously in a beauty parlour situated in Mumbai. Soon the charges of Shagun's murder are placed on her husband namely, Chetan Seth. Close relatives and friends of Chetan suspect that he is being framed and for the very same reason they hire a private detective namely, Mili Ray. The story takes a turn when Shagun's mother is also killed all of a sudden. Shagun had more number of haters. Even her own son didn't want her to be alive. To know what happens next and will Mili be able to solve this mystery or not, you should definitely pick this impeccable book.
The book is really very fast paced and is quite perfect from all the aspects. I am simply fond of writing skills of the author and look forward to read more books by her in future. I would recommend this book to all the beginners because of its easy to understand language. I am very sure that you won't be disappointed by this book!

It's written in simple English and has small chapters. That wasn't enough for me to like the book of course.

It's not much of a thriller unless you've never read thriller/crime/mystery books before. In short, it's predictable.

Coming to the main character Detective Mili, at one point I thought this was a fantasy with all the premonitions. There's no proper explanation. Apart from that neither she nor the other characters seem to have much depth.

One of the most popular advice on writing is "Show, don't tell." and all that's in this book is telling. So it felt like I'm reading a report. It didn't draw me in. Another thing was that thing were over explained. Kinda makes me think the author thinks we are all dumb to not pick up on obvious things in the scene. I noticed a bit of head hopping but there are many more technicalities that I'm too tired to mention.

So if you want a no-brainer and just some plain entertainment this book is okay. If you are looking for a decent read then don't waste your time.

---Spoiler alert----

At first, I enjoyed the book, but I figured out who the killer was. What let me down was the justification provided for the female characters' actions. I understand Shagun was only 11 and faced trauma, but the other three were also 11. If it was normal for her to seek revenge, what about the other kids? Didn't she lie to the principal, causing the three kids to be punished for a week? What started as harmless lies and pranks escalated into something serious.Even after the murders, if Shagun is still regarded merely as an 11-year-old, why is there no compassion for the other children, like Rohit?Akash was forgotten as if he never existed and his life meant nothing. Not even for his parents. His mother saw it with her eyes. Height of justification!!

It’s fine that I guessed the killer, but why was Shagun portrayed as a victim in the end? Didn’t she try to kill her boyfriend twice? And did she become a gold digger and a cheater because of that trauma?I just couldn’t understand the justification for everyone’s actions.

A horrible trauma has been left untreated in a little girl, because psychological help is a tabboo and pathetic crimes have been committed by her. She has grown up a broken woman and is having severe rage disorder... She is simply hurting and killing people, punishing and threatening others.
She is a murderer. She is hated by all, and...
She is murdered!
A lot of people have reasons to kill her, to just get the hell away from her obnoxious behaviour, but hardly anyone knows why she is what she is.
Mili Ray, an ex-encounter specialist and private detective, suffers from severe panic attacks and anger outbursts frequently. But only she can solve the case....Because, she is good. She always has been.
A story of everyday people with everyday needs, desires and demons. It's so real world that it feels like one from actual police files.

A simple and clear mystery with awesome plot and twists..The story revolves around the protagonist Shagun Mehra who initially kills and later gets killed..We also see the intelligence on Milli ray,her lawyer friend Gates and ACP Purab in solving the mystery
Usually we see it takes time to recognise the characters in mystery and detective stories but this wasn't of that kind.. Author slowly involved characters into the main stream which made it easy to understand,Also the investigation mainly involves questioning the witnesses and make them vomit the secrets the know

In 'Who Killed the Murderer,' Moitrayee Bhaduri brings back Milli Ray at the helm of a challenging investigation that revolves around a TV star with a twisted past. The author proves her brilliance as an ace crime writer with intelligent plotting, and diverse characters who seem both straightforward and mysterious. The book is fast-paced with ample twists that keep the reader riveted till the very end! If you're looking for an entertaining and engaging read, this is one more to add to your list!

Her narration style is mechanical. I was able to read the story but was not able to live it. It felt like not much effort has been put to make conversations between characters impactful, they were way too obvious for me. I must say that the storyline is interesting but the narration is lacking substance. Character building is missing, and moreover, I didn't feel the urge to continue reading it.

I picked this one up seeing the ratings in Goodreads, but for me, it didn't stand up to the mark.

One which keeps you glued..

It is tough to find a crisp and fullproof crime novel. But this one has made it's mark here. Moitrayee has managed to keep readers glued to the book, cover to cover.
