I think some readers may not have realized it's a children's book. But I can't blame them. Maybe for "older" children? I used it to help ME know & understand the monuments, chateaus, and architecture of Paris! Very basic intro and/or refresher. Great illustrations of the monuments - from very old to modern.

Found this in my house and I was hoping for actual pictures to be included with the illustrations. I was also hoping for it to go into more detail about the actual architecture.

I think I'm being too harsh on what is seemingly a coffee table book.

Cute children's book explaining very simply the history of some of the major monuments/bridges/buildings in Paris.
