as usual with this sort of book, a mixed bag. some articles were great: Marilynn Olson's in particular stands out, and Akiko Yamazaki's was an interesting idea that could have used a little more fleshing out. others were kind of boring and left me wondering what purpose they were serving — Sarah Fiona Winters's, for example, was a pretty superficial comparison of Harry Potter and DWJ without much real substance.

the interview with Jones is delightful.

Some of the essays were fascinating, all were interesting. Now I really want to reread everything that Diana Wynn’s Jones ever write.

The essay I liked the best was the one about how Homewardbounders redonates with children from military families, although there were many other interesting ones.
