Writing Our Love #2

Shipping Our Loves

Rate this book
Davis ~ Life hasn’t been the same since Conrad and I lost our boyfriend Eric in a tragic accident. We’ve started looking for a third again, but the men we’ve met are wanting a one-time experience. It’s all just fun to them, but this is our lifestyle, and we want another man to love.

Conrad ~ I’m missing our man more than words can say, but that isn’t the only problem. I’d never told my family I was in a triad, so when they came to the funeral and treated Davis like a close friend, without knowing the depth of his sorrow, it gutted me. He deserves better than that. As hopeful as I am we’ll meet someone on this cruise, I’m not sure I’m ready to live honestly.

Shane ~ When my friends convince me to splurge and treat myself for a college graduation present, I wasn’t sure a singles cruise was the way to go. What are the chances that the only two men I’m interested in now that I’m here are looking for a third, or that one of them is my best friend’s older brother? But maybe a few days of living the fantasy won’t hurt anyone.

Fun in the sun is easy, but what happens when three men go back to real life? Lucky for Conrad and Shane, Davis has his eye on the prize and he’s not backing down.

Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.

These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.

I thought this had potential but I ended up skimming a lot. A bit too fluffy and light for me. And way too short to properly explore some of the issues this throuple has to deal with.

These three men are destined to be together.
Davis is 33, 6'3", black hair with some silver and a sturdy build.
Conrad, 25, has reddish brown hair, is tall with lean muscles and thick thighs from soccer.
Shane, 22, is smaller, brown haired, a sleek runner's body, and just settling in his new work.
Conrad and Davis are a couple who lost their third partner to a motorcycle accident, but now want to begin looking for another person to fit in with their lives. They are not pursuing, but waiting for it to happen naturally. They have planned a cruise to relax, and find out a best friend's brother is on the ship also.

Shane didn't know they were a triad, or that they were a couple. He hangs out with them and gets to know them better and vice versa. Sharing meals, pool time, and touring is fun with them.

We get exciting anticipation, hot men, and eventually lots of sexiness, along with deep emotion and passion. They care about each other, listen and sightsee, The couple's need for a third is more than just sexual. They want a person who fits in, a bonding with someone, yet retaining their own individualisms.

Davis likes museums, Conrad likes adventurous scuba diving, while we find out Shane likes both.
It's a gentle, kind story of new love found, and satisfaction for three souls.
Scorching sex scenes are shown, plus time spent together, which gives us a chance to see how the men living together really works.

I like a good threesome, and we get that and the deeper connections, in this novella.
ENJOY !

So cute

I started this months ago and thought that the writing didn't flow right so I closed it and moved on. I don't know why I came back but I am glad I did cause once you get past the intro, it gets better. I loved that this couple had a triad before and wanted to be in another after losing their partner. Shane was adorable and I'm glad there weren't any angsty monologues about being with two people.

I had to update this to add that the disastrous date that Davis and Conrad had did have a backstory, read Henchman's Mate to see why Darren was acting that way.

Conrad and Davis are an established couple looking for a third to complete their relationship.
Shane treats himself to a Valentine's Inc cruise as a graduation present to himself. It's at the beginning of the cruise that he runs into Conrad and his "friend" Davis. Conrad is Shane's best friends brother.
I immediately loved the banter between these men. They way they all acted with each other was sweet and fun. Conrad's over protectiveness toward Shane was hilarious and endearing.
A romantic, sexy triad story of love that I'd happily recommend.

I'm unsure whether to round up or down. This was a sweet, very low angst poly romance novella. Each of the characters was loveable and the chemistry between all of them was strong. It wasn't long enough to be fully satisfying but for what it is, it was still very cute.

Okay, yes, another deviation from my TBR piles, but in all fairness, this series (Cruises) is linked to the Valentine's Inc series (a lot of the same authors were invited to contribute, the whole cupid company idea is the same, and a lot of the side characters in the original series are now main characters in this one) and each book has a cute ship-themed title. The eighth book in this series is titled "Shipping Our Loves," and it's by Sammi Cee.

Every time I come across a triad in a novel, I'm hesitate. And every time, I'm blown away.

Each and every character in this novella were fully-developed and flawed and sweet and caring and just...

Shane just fit in with Davis and Conrad; he had things in common with both of them, whether it be habits or history. It went from a friendship and feeling like a third wheel to Shane to a full-fledged and fully committed relationship within the span of the cruise. Davis knew what he wanted and that he'd get it as soon as he saw Shane stand up to and bicker with Conrad. Conrad needed a little encouragement, with his own past and secrets, but once he accepted the inevitable, he was gone too.

God, this book was soooooo good! Fully recommend.

Three is Perfect

Shipping Our Loves is a MMM sweet and adorable Novella. Sometime after Conrad and Davis lose their lover/boyfriend in an accident, they’re ready to get serious again. The only problem is, all the dates they have been on the last few months have been disastrous. They continue on with their cruise that had been plan months prior. To their surprise lo and behold Conrads brother’s best friend, Shane, is aboard. Conrad and Davis eventually tell Shane that they are together and were a triad with Erik. Little did Shane know that’s exactly what he was looking for all his life. It’s a beautiful story, with some sad parts in there when the MCs tell their story of losing their lover, being kicked out for being gay, and just being left all alone due to parents packing up and leaving their kid right after their high school graduation. It’s a 5 star ⭐️ Novella for me. 💜

This was one of the few times that I read a book in a series out of order... and it actually worked in my favor! I finished Loving Logan and realized that I had missed reading Shipping Our Loves, so I jumped right into it! Having met Conrad, Shane, and Davis in Creed and Logan's story made understanding the triad relationship much better.

I thoroughly enjoy this author's writing style and character development... which makes picking up one of their books, setting back, and relaxing easy peasy!

Since Conrad and Davis lost their third, they have kept an eye out for someone to complete them. They sign up for a singles cruise in hopes of finding him. Shane goes on the singles cruise as a graduation gift to himself. Before the ship even leaves the dock, the three run into each other. When Conrad & Davis explain their relationship to Shane and what they are looking for, Shane begins to wonder if he’d be that someone.

Sweet ménage featuring an established couple looking for a third, brother’s best friend, and crushes finally revealed.

Shane, Conrad and Davis

This MMM romance was hot and sweet all wrapped in a cute package of hotness. Conrad and Davis were looking for a third in their relationship and found it in college graduate Shane who was Conrad's brothers best friend. These three men found the love they were looking for on a cruise ship the middle of Bermuda. I love this Writing Our Love series and cannot wait for Creed's story!

This was a mindless uneventful menage story.
A short read and a fun distraction during an afternoon at home.
No more, no less.
Nothing wrong with the book, but don`t expect great creative writing or interesting plot twists, or getting to know the characters in depths.
Actually, I finished this book a few days ago and already have a hard time remembering anything about it.
Probably if you read some of the stories in the series you will know, what I am talking about.
3 stars for me.

Such a sweet story.
An already established relationship mixed in with mutual crushes lasting years! All three finding love in each other in the end.
I'd have liked it to have been a much longer book, more detail and information of the house move towards the end and more of them as a group out in public, but it was still a delightful story.

So sweet and sexy!

Sammi Cee is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! I never thought I’d be into a Throuple type of relationship, but the way that it’s written in this book is just so sexy and inviting and it makes you wonder what that relationship would actually be like in real life! LOVED IT! 😍😍😍

Conrad, Davis and Shane are amazing together. Creeds reaction to their relationship, as well as his parents should be the norm in the real world. Loved reading their journey to creating their family.

How to survive a trouple after one died? Trying to find someone else. But it's not easy. Not everyone understand what a trouple is and what it mean. Could your brother bestfriend be the one? Of course not... unless your boyfriend already approve. Sweet, short story. Love it.

This was a short and sweet story. I think the intended shortness of this series gives you a chance to get to all the fun and good parts without dwelling on any of the angst too much.

Shane's graduation gift to himself is a singles gay cruise. Luckily, he runs into Conrad and Davis before he can get involved with anyone else. So, much changes when the three men get together romantically.

I had a feeling I was going to love Shane after meeting him briefly in book one, Kissing Our Loves, but I was not expecting to be head over heels for all three of these characters. Now I can’t wait for Creed’s story soon. 🖤🔥💘🔥🖤

Yay for Shane!

This was good. I love how Conrad was the over protective "big brother" to Shane at first. Davis was a nice fit to round them out.
