Hilarious. Another - later - HonCon book. the honcon is off with miss jones for the Soviet Union with her fellow Albatrossers (brit tourists). On day one one of the more attractive of the fellow travellers, claims that someone tried to kill her! Of course, the HonCon - being a mite smitten with this victim- rushes to take charge of the case.. and so it goes all over Russia- Uzbekistan, Azerbijan, Crimea and other places- hilariously observed!!!!- and the new charming miss is several times almost killed. We get to know the 12 other travellers and it is an interesting bunch. Finally they come back home to England and another woman is killed! why? who? what? but the HonCon has it figured, and all winds up well. Great book- she is - as i often say - one of my favorites!

Well this was an unexpected delight! I came across this book in a little free library, hadn't heard of it before but thought I'd give it a go and I really enjoyed it. Packed full of humour and a light hearted plot. A fun quick read!

Hon. Con went on a holiday package to Russia with Miss Jones where they had a horrible time touring museums, having terrible Intourist guides, and foiling attacks on Penelope's life. Plot was obvious a mile away and I didn't really enjoy Hon. Con as a character at all.
