When Perennials Bloom: An Almanac for Planning and Planting by Tomasz Anisko (Timber Press 2008) (635.932) is one of the absolute best books on perennial culture and cultivation. Over 450 species of perennial are thoroughly discussed and explained. This is an excellent book and a must for any gardening library and is on my personal wish list! My rating: 8/10, finished 2009.

This is an excellent reference book if you are into perennials and gardening. It's even excellent if you just dream of being into perennials and gardening.
