It was interesting reading the poetry in here but I wouldn’t read it again. It was a fast read. I finished it in one day.

(1.5) having found love in life does not automatically make someone a poet; should’ve left these jumble up words in a private journal, no respect for the art of poetry.

The author is talented and does a good job, I just found very little poems that I related to or found really meaningful to me.

This is a book that my mom got from her mother and passed on to me and my sister in middle school. It is a really good book for a girl going into womanhood (though I am not sure if that was what the author intended) with poems that are about being able to have any career desired, setting boundaries in relationships, appreciating the country and cities for what they are and what they offer, etc. I could have sentimental bias, but I do believe that some of Susan's work is worth reading.

After searching through two books, one being very large, I stumbled upon this wonderful poetry treasure. Susan Schutz speaks the truth and nothing but the truth in, I'm Not That Kind of Girl. Her poems are relatable to every person out there, but also are the perfect end to a long day.

I have always loved this book it is near and dear to my heart and has been an all time favorite of mine since I was 15 yrs old. My high-school guidance Counselor gave it to me the last time I seen her, as she was leaving our school. I always cherished and loved this book and the poems within it's pages.
