I didn't finish reading this book, not because it was boring, but it was overly academic in nature and written in very dry language. It took a considerable amount of reading before coming across the truly profound passages and tit-bits in the book that kept me interested half-way in. Beyond that point, it still wasn't clear what exactly the book was trying to say in any coherent manner and I just lost the will to keep going. However, I think the few things that I did take away from the book were worthy of the effort to try and read this dense piece of social commentary.
