After the jaw-dropping ending to Interception, I had to dive right into Intermission as soon as it hit my kindle! And it did not disappoint! Such an amazing conclusion to this duet. Intermission answers every question Interception left me. It filled in so many blanks and is bam full of emotion, self growth and self discovery. Truly a one of a kind duet. I'm just blown away by how different and unique this book was. It didn't follow the ‘traditional’ romance novel checklist, I mean it still ticks every box but in such a special new way. The way in which Lisa intertwined the lives of these three people was genius. I was floored by her uncanny ability to involve all three of them and keep your attention with them. It was a story that grabbed my attention and made me DEVOUR this book. She definitely has a way with love triangles that’s for sure. And you couldn’t have picked two completely different characters than Chase and Gavin. It was really magical how Lisa Suzanne handled everything in this story.

Intermission was exactly what I hoped and wished for whenever I pick up a novel by Lisa Suzanne. I adored these characters. I loved their story. This book definitely ticked off all my boxes for the perfect romance. I smiled and swooned from page to page, hoping right along with Laney and the one she ultimately chose for the chance to see this romance blossom. I'm glad she ended up with the right guy—the best guy. I'm not naming names but I just have to say that from the outset I was already rooting for him. You could feel the genuineness of his feelings. This was a wonderfully written tale and I absolutely loved it!

"We miss a lot when our eyes are closed."

Oh I was so excited to continue this love triangle after reading the first book. But somehow I came up a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it and loved that Delaney ended up with the guy I rooted for. However some things were missing...

"This right here in his arms... this feels like family."

As I don't want to spoil things for you it's hard for me to write the review without giving to much away. But what I can tell you is that the rockstar was unbelievable gorgeous with the patience of a Mother Theresa. Delaney was a very frustrating character, who even after making her decision still seem to question if it was the right one. Chase was a total nutcase and it was hard for me to believe he really fell back in love with his high school sweetheart.

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."

Intermission gives us a sweet ending to this love triangle duet that will melt your heart.

Gah! I've read every one of Lisa Suzanne's books, and I've loved them all. I have yet to read one of her books where I did not get completely wrapped up in her writing and the story. She writes truly captivating stories. The ones that I simply don't want to put down, and that I'm still thinking about long after I do. Intermission had the same effect on me. Although frustrating at times, it was sweet, sexy and absolutely addicting!

This one picks up right where Interception left off with Laney still undecided on who she wants to be with. But when a betrayal is brought to light, she runs from one man, straight into the arms of the other. Until she finds out that he is keeping a secret as well, causing her to run from them both. Gavin and Chase both try to win back her love, but when all is said and done, her heart only beats for one. Will it be the football star or the rock star? Pick up this book and get to reading in order to find out.

Intermission was exactly what I hope for when I pick up a novel by Lisa Suzanne. I adored these characters. I loved their story. This book definitely ticked off all my boxes for the perfect romance. I smiled and swooned from page to page, hoping right along with Laney and "the one" for the chance to see this romance blossom. This wonderfully written tale gets 5 sweet and sexy stars from me!

When Interception ended, I knew who I wanted to win in this game to win Delaney’s heart. As Intermission started, my heart was still with just one man. BUT, I knew what one was hiding so I had to find out what the other was keeping from Delaney. Once I knew, my heart didn’t change and I was rooting for him even harder than I was before.

Was I happy in the end, oh HELL yes. My man won her heart and showed her that her past didn’t matter … only the future. He didn’t try to sway her, he didn’t try to relive the past, he was honest with her about the one time in her life that devastated her even though he knew he could lose her. He took the chance that his truth would not destroy what they had together. And, after much soul searching, finding out the real truth and realizing that she was only running away, Delaney ran to him and promised him forever.

As for the other guy. Well, he may have changed his mind but had no way to win her back. Sometimes past hurts just don’t go away and, as the truth came out, he had no idea how to defend himself with her. His first thought was “damage control” not Delaney. That, right there, from the beginning, had me turned off. His attitude, his antics, his actions … all of this put together did not show me a man ready for anything but his own future.

Now, after reading both Interception and Intermission you may disagree with me. And, that’s your choice. We all read everything differently, have our own tastes. It’s just one opinion. But, you can’t argue with me on this … Lisa Suzanne did a wonderful job of bringing us three interesting people and showing us the good, the bad and the ugly. She made us see all sides of the story and what went into Delaney making her decision. She wrote interesting, complicated characters, supporting characters that fit the story completely and a story line that was complex and fascinating. Interception and Intermission intrigued me from the beginning and had me totally hooked from the reunion until the end.

And, just one more thing … I cried, I did a happy dance, I let out a cheer and had the happiest feeling in my heart over this HEA. Sorry … not sorry … if you were cheering on the other man.

I will keep this one short so I don't spoil anything. First and foremost, I'm quite happy with how things went. Lisa surprised with some of the events in this book and I thoroughly enjoy that. She was not only able to surprise me, she made me feel bad for the other guy, the one who didn't get the girl and she sort of redeemed him for me which is something that she can do like no other - redeem a character and make me go from hating him to loving him to bits. That didn't quite happen here but I am hoping he gets his own book and I can finish falling in love with him and watch him fall in love with the right girl for him.

I got say that Delaney was still frustrating and even after making a choice, she didn't know what to do and that kind of pissed me off. She was still too attached to the past and that ended up clouding her judgement when it came to certain things. Also and just a quick note, gosh her parents were horrible and I'm glad she distanced herself from that toxic relationship.

When it came to Delaney's bff and Liam I'm sad to see their little fling ending but I hope she can find someone who will love her and not leave her behind. Gavin continued to make me swoon and fall madly in love with him, gosh my heart hurt for him when he had to watch Delaney and Chase and he thought that once again he would have to let her go. Gosh, his love for her was so transparent and so deep... I love him. Again, Mark showing up and being the best kind of mentor/ friend. He is amazing.

Intermission is the second book in the Love Triangle duet and it is full of surprises and an unveiling of secrets that turn worlds upside down. It is romantic and angsty and full of music and heat and what is better than that?! I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to Delaney and her man's story and I'm truly hoping the other guy gets his own HEA in the future too.

Lisa Suzanne heats things up with INTERMISSION (Love Triangle Duet #2). Teacher Delaney Lockwood’s love triangle continues with ex-boyfriend NFL quarterback, Chase Camden and her former best friend/Rockstar, Gavin Brooks. Intermission starts out where book one, INTERCEPTION, left off. This contemporary sports/rock star romance is suitable for adult readers.

Lisa Suzanne did a phenomenal job with this story. It seemed like everyone had secrets, and they were all revealed. I like how Lisa Suzanne flashes back and forth in time to tell the story. I sympathized for Delaney’s character. No matter what she decides to do, she would have to make some sort of sacrifice. She does a lot of soul searching. INTERMISSION was skillfully written and entertaining. Be warned it might give you a book hangover because it is hard to put down. You should read book one prior to this book. I recommend the Love Triangle Duet to people who enjoy, sports, Rockstar, and love triangle romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Intermission added some extra drama and angsty feelings to this, the emotional conclusion of The Love Triangle Duet.

I loved where Interception (these clever titles) ended and how it left you wanting more. I was excited to see the outcome and thank goodness the wait was short and the story was so worth it.

Delaney (Laney, Dee) had her hearts work cut out for her as she wavers back and forth between her feelings of love for these two men from her past. One disappointed her, broke her and came back with hopeful open arms. Should she give him another chance or keep the past where it might belong...

The other, a best friend who wanted more after loving her from afar forever, finally asking for the chance he never had, to love her right now.

What's a girl to do? Well, drive this reader alittle crazy! I wanted her to see the light..the right course of action before it was too late. Choose, Delaney, pick _____! Did she do that???

You'll have to read this one to find out because getting to the end may have stopped my heart a few times, while saying no, no,no, but in my mind, wondering, waiting and anticipating was what made this story sooo good. I wasn't afraid of the triangle because I hoped so much for Delaney to chose who I would. Did she take that leap of faith? The answer was right there to see. Such a great ending!

These were the 1st books by Lisa Suzanne that I've read but since I'm liking her style, I'll be seeing what else she has in her collection of stories...new fan here!

So happy to receive the gifted ARC, glad to leave my honest review of these stories.

Wow - I have never read a book where I actually wanted to hit the heroine in the head time and time again with every turn of the page until I met Delaney. Caught between the love of a rock star and the love of a football great - this girl has a hard choice to make. Her lack of decision making makes each and every chapter an emotional overload. In one chapter you want her to choose Team Gavin, in the next you want Team Chase. In the end she FINALLY decides to follow her heart and not her past. Another wonderful read from Lisa Suzanne. Filled with a beautiful storyline and characters you cannot help but love (or hate) this will once again be a series that I will re-read time and time again.

This series is intense and I’m so glad I chose to read it. I have to admit though that I occasionally wanted to smack some sense into Laney and yell at her “You already have your answers, god dammit!”

And can I just say “Swoon.”
I won’t spoil your experience before you read the series but I can tell you my reader dreams came true at the end <3

The ending on book one left me stomped and reeling... I was like, nnnooo!

I was bracing up for book two... I waited in dire anticipation for this one—dire anticipation!

I was also engulfed in anxiety... like will she end up with the football superstar or with the rockstar... or will there be more twists and turns waiting for me as I turn the pages... those things... I'm an anxious reader especially if I'm really invested in the story.

Man oh man. It's been a while since I wanted to slap a book character upside-down. Truthfully, I don't think being in Delaney's shoes is easy... but if you were in the guys shoes, it's not a walk in the park either... I don't think I could take it if the girl I'm love with spends time with another guy—especially with a guy who has romantic inclinations with her in the first place and especially if they have a romantic past... Love triangles are bloody messy. It's a tight and difficult position to be in one. Love is definitely a battlefield.

I'm glad she ended up with the right guy—the best guy. I'm not naming names but I just have to say that from the outset I was already rooting for him. You could feel the genuineness of his feelings. At one point I even felt that Delaney is undeserving of him...

I can't wait for ya'll to read the conclusion of this riveting love story! Definitely a must-read!

Intermission is the Love Triangle Duet's conclusion, so in order to understand the whole story, YOU MUST READ Interception (Book 1) FIRST! After the ending of Interception, I was dying inside waiting for this story, because I NEEDED to know what happened! Now, Delaney was really trying my patience to be honest, because the girl couldn't make a decision to save her life between two men, and I wanted to shake her until her teeth rattled so badly. I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty details as it could show some spoilers for those who haven't read either book. I will say that I was torn between the two men until I wasn't, and even then, once some things came to light, I started questioning myself as well. However, I wasn't as back & forth as Delaney was by any means, because I was just about the Denver Broncos, since I live, breathe, and eat for that team. I will say this, I'm glad for the ending the way it was, and just the very end when she made a real choice. The talented Lisa Suzanne really took me on a ride with all my emotions involved, though anger/irritation were in the lead. Anyway, all's well that ends well with the choice made, and I'm glad that I didn't have to wait long for the conclusion. So if you are dying to find out how it all pans out, then get to one clicking! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Delaney remains conflicted between Chase, the football star who broke her heart, and Gavin, the rockstar who was her best friend. As secrets are revealed she will learn which man she can count on to support her through not only the good times but the bad times as well. The journey to find out she was meant to be with definitely had its ups and down but in the end I believe she made the best choice.

I really enjoyed the evolution of Delaney’s characters from the start of this duet to the conclusion. The chemistry and connection she shares with the man she chose is second to none. I feel bad for the man left on the sidelines and would like to see him have his happy ever after as well.

SHE. PICKED. THE. RIGHT. ONE!!!!
I truly enjoyed these 2 books. My feelings for Delaney kept going back and fourth. I loved that she went to her high school reunion. Her teenage first love and her guy best friend were both there. One's a Rock Star the other is Pro football player.
She had a choice to make. Does she try to rekindle what she had with the foot ball player or take a chance on love with a Rock Star......I will tell you this one guy was way more swoon worthy then the other. And it truly was a great ending

Lisa Suzanne, I hate Triangle romances, and yet I absolutely died reading this one! The LOVE Triangle Duet is one of my favorite duets this year. There is so much heart, angst, sweetness and more that flows through every word of this duet. Intermission followed Delaney, Gavin, and Chase right where readers left off in Interceptions and was a truly fantastic five-star story! DO NOT WAIT TO BUY THESE BOOKS! Full RTC 9/11/19

The Right Choice!!

After reading Interception and having my mouth hanging open at the end of it I sure couldn't wait for Intermission to come out. Yes, I had a favorite in the first book and by the second book it just solidified my pick. There was much indecision on Delaney's part that I wanted to shake her. Secrets and lies almost brought it all to an end with no one winning Delaney's heart but in the end it worked out as it should have.

This is the heart-stopping conclusion to the Love Triangle Duet, Delaney, Chase, and Gavin's story. Just as the first installment, this one was riddled with emotion, passion, and indecision that left me dying of anticipation. The words were so addictive, once I got started I could not put my tablet down, I HAD to know how it would all end, which lead me on a all night journey... one that was well worth the lost minutes of sleep! Highly recommend!

My honest opinion

I made it through the 1st book. It wasn't easy but I had to know which one she chose. I did not finish the 2nd book. I could not take the shining any longer. What wimpy female lead.

This book was better then Interception, but I still found Delaney to be whiny and ridiculously indecisive for at least half the book. I almost just skipped to the ending because of it. Glad I didn't because I really enjoyed the ending and who she ended up with

Contemporary Romance; Rockstar; Sports

First person; multi-POV

Book #2 of the Love Triangle duet; It cannot be read as a standalone.

I can't sit on the sidelines as I watch the football player try to intercept my girl from me.

It's time to step onto the field, give her relationship with him an

intermission, and show her why I'm the right one for her.

by Gavin

Addictiveness: 5/5 Highest level of addictiveness!!! From the first book, I couldn't take this story out of my head. It was easy to read in one sitting this journey of old and new love.

Character: hero 5/5, heroine 4/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Ms. Suzanne’s characters were multidimensional with several layers to them.

I will start with Delaney because on the first book I had a little bit of trouble connecting with her. She still isn't my favorite character of the book, but she did grow a lot in this book. I still think that she loved to created more drama than was needed, but I guess that is my personal opinion.

There are 2 men in this triangle. I won’t give them names, but definitely one is what book boyfriends are made of. The other, I didn't like him at all on the first book, but in this book he grew on me. I can totally see him having his own love journey in a future book from Ms. Suzanne.

A few interesting secondary characters, I believe the antihero deserves his own book. I also would love to read the boys of the band and Rose having their love story told.

There were some characters easy to love, some easy to connect and all of them easy to understand!

Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5  I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This art definitely fits this story. I can see Gavin with Delaney, with the concert stadium as a background, the little guitar with the name of the series and the perfect, catchy title. I even like the love triangle sort of subtitle on the top, because is another snippet of information about the story. Different than for the first book, Delaney's clothes is perfect for the event and mood of the cover. I would easily buy this book by its cover without reading the blurb!

Freshness: 5/5 It feels new, original, with fresh ideas. I love it!!! I like how the author has created the love triangle. I love all the feelings it evokes. I’m crazy about how they all have a past in common. Fresher than listerine!!!

Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 4/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 3.5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 4/5, twists 4/5  Good opening and perfect ending.  It shouldn’t be a believable concept, but the author really makes it work. Dialogues written by a pro. The pace in this book was a bit slower than the first and I think the major conflict was solved pretty early. But this story still hooked the reader from the beginning, making it impossible to stop reading it. Love the setting and a few new unexpected twists!

Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5  O.M.G! This is a LOVE STORY! Really, this is the perfect romance. It has a swoon-worthy hero, with a cute heroine, a great antihero and a few good twists. They are hot for each other, but even during their steamer moments we can feel their love. Some great smut descriptions. :)

Writing Style: 5/5 I've definitely became a fan. Her characters are complex, her plot simple at the same time convoluted, her love story is hot and emotional. Can't wait to read more from the author! Perfect writing!!!

I know, I always have to find something to complain, even with a series as perfect as this.

Plot: I have to say, the pace of this book wasn't as good as the first. I guess because the main conflict was solved early and everything else felt a bit like small little problems, not really a major crisis.

Can I just say the hero is dreamy, hot, perfect! Everything!!!

Other thing I must say: the author is crazy good, crafty and a wordsmith. She not only wrote an amazing plot, but she wrote several songs that were complementing the plot. WOW

This is a MUST READ for everyone!!!

34/35 STARS –  5 STARS (between 33.5 stars and 35 stars)

Addictiveness: 5 Character: 4.5 Cover: 5 Freshness: 5  Plot: 4.5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 5

Action 1/5

Angst 4/5

Darkness 0/5

Humor 0/5

Romance 5/5

Suspense/Mystery 3/5

Would I recommend? YES YES YES

Would I re-read this book/series? I’m certain I will.

Would I read more from the author? Can't wait!

You may read this because you read the first book; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy love stories; you MUST read this because the writing is superb!!!

Yet here we are, on the top of the Eiffel Tower alone, on an intermission from the rest of the world as we privately celebrate our love and our future, as we luxuriate in each other's kiss... just as we'll do for the rest of our lives.

Intermission (Love Triangle Duet #2)

Well, I devoured this sequel/conclusion in one night, but waited to write my review to let it sink in. It will be hard to keep this review spoiler-free now that I know what happens, but I promise to proofread so as not to ruin it for anyone ready to see the conclusion to this love triangle.

First, the book is EXCELLENT! I was feeling stressed out, happy, confused, sad, annoyed, turned on, and eventually overjoyed with the outcome!

Lisa’s writing is impeccable, keeping you guessing while also crafting a beautiful love story between Delaney and her chosen beau. I also like how Chase becomes so much more likable, and I can finally see what Delaney saw in him all those years ago to make her give him another chance 10 years later.

I can’t write too much because I feel like I will give too much away, but if you enjoyed “Interception” then this is just the “Intermission” you’ll want and need!

Happy reading!

Intermission was excellent!

Intermission, book 2 of the Love Triangle Duet, by Lisa Suzanne @authorlisasuzanne. Lisa is a favorite author of mine & this is a reread for me.

Delaney had to choose between Chase & Gavin! Who did she choose? 😈 Tropes: Contemporary, Love Triangle, Female/Male, Mostly Single POV (Delaney), High School Boyfriend or High School Friend, 10 years later, Betrayal/Lies & HEA!

Fabulous

It was truly a great continuation from the first book. Laney figured out she was in love with Gavin. Made up with her parents and brother. Many emotions you felt them as the reader. Gavin's always being his true self got the girl he was madly in love with Laney for half his life. Loved it. Thank you Lisa for another awesome story.

Dee's Shy, Loyal Former High School Best Friend Gavin Brooks Turns Sexy, Confident Rocker And Battles Bronco's Wide Receiver Ex-Boyfriend Chase Camden For Her Heart!

Delaney Lockwood, twenty-eight, is torn between two loves. She once thought her high school boyfriend was the love of her life, but Chase Camden ripped apart her dreams when he broke up with her out of the blue just days before leaving for college. When she sees her high school best friend and old neighbor Gavin Brooks at their ten year high school reunion, something between them has shifted. Yes, he knows how to work his microphone and looks incredible on stage as the lead singer of the popular rock band Beyond Gold, but he is still her old friend, and when they speak it is as if not a day has gone by. With one exception. There is undeniable electricity between them, something she hadn't noticed back in high school.

After ten years of radio silence, both Chase and Gavin want Delaney. But Delaney needs time to assess her options - a lot can change in ten years. Delaney suffers from a nearly crippling case of indecision which tests not only the men, but also the reader! Every time she appears to draw a conclusion, she wavers yet again. It makes her look dense and inconsiderate of both Chase and Gavin. Once Delaney finally makes up her mind about who she wants in her future, her indecision transfers to questions of where to live, etc. It becomes tedious.

Although some of the indicision is necessary, certainly some of it could have been eliminated. Tightening up the second book as well as the tail end of the first book might have had a favorable result (it could have been a single longer book).

The happy couple is easy to fall in love with. They battle it out and withstand an incredible test of time. There are tear-jerking testaments to their love in both books of the duet. Theirs is an emotional love story that will have you celebrating their HEA!

This is the second book in the Love Triangle duet. The first ends with a cliffhanger. Please reference my review for the first book, "Interception," for a detailed review.

The sequel begins with a sequence of four scenes from the past, most of which were referenced throughout the first book. While not necessary, they do help put together the pieces from the past and provide the backstory for the duet in one easy-to-reference location. The reader gets to see Delaney observe both Chase and Gavin for the first time, fourteen years ago, right before beginning high school. Additionally, the events surrounding her breakup and her family's demise tens years earlier are highlighted. Chapter five returns to represent day and picks up with Delaney in Denver the morning after the first book left off.

This book is nicely written. The plot is not as complex as the first book of the duet, as much if it revolves around Delaney making up her mind about something or other. This ties up loose ends. Social status aside, there is a realistic feel to the story. Not everyone has a happy ending.

The characters are well-developed and intriguing. Gavin's public versus private personas really help bring him to life. His charisma burns up the page! Chase has real problems, but at the same time so much potential. Is there a spin-off coming? Delaney suffers from humiliation and lack of self-confidence, but also has strength. She would have been more likable, however, if she were capable of decision making. Although minor characters, Liam and Rose are also intriguing. Rose had a smaller role in this book, and it felt like she and Delaney were drifting, unfortunately, because Rose had been Delaney's rock for ten years. It would be great to see a story in which Rose's friendship with Delaney is portrayed in the future as happy and healthy. I rate this book 4 stars.

NOTE: DO NOT FORGET TO DOWNLOAD THE FREE BONUS EPILOGUE AVAILABLE AT THE END OF THE BOOK! It is very short, but nicely wraps up some loose ends and closes the story with a very nice HEA.

I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
