August 25, 2019Normally, I read love triangles but from the reviews I have read, I understood that the heroine is very indecisive and her heart goes from one guy to another a lot. It sounds frustrating.

Oh, I was so looking forward to this duet! This first book captured my heart in a beat.... and now I'm anxious to get my hand on the second part.
Interception has the perfect amount of angst level, that's healthy for my little heart. The love triangle seems natural and I totally felt the chord that binds Delaney to Gavin and Chase. Even though I had my favorite between them quite early, it's totally understandable to me that after 10 years she has to explore her feelings for both men deeper. I also like that she's open with both and doesn't hide things.

Lisa is one of the very few authors that has me reading love triangles. I don't particularly like them but I'll read hers because I know they are good, they aren't that hard to read and I am always happy with how they end.
Delaney has to make a choice between her high school sweetheart, now a professional football player and her bestfriend from high school, now a sexy rockstar. She is very undecisive and she goes back between the two a lot and trust me that is frustrating. But she just wants to make the right decision, she loves them both. One she has loved for over a decade, even from a distance and now that he's back in her life and wants to try again, she has to see if they are as perfect as before. The other has just stolen her attention, sweet as ever and so so sexy she just can't resist him. And there's also the fact that he just confessed that he loved her all along too.
Right from the beginning, it's pretty easy to pick who's team you are on. It was #TeamGavin for me even before I really started the book. Let's just say I like a rock star much more than I like an athlete and Gavin proved to me with each chapter that I was on the right team. Chase never really felt right to me, the way he and Delaney ended things back in high school and how he never got in touch with her for 10 years knowing what happened to her after he left. It just felt wrong to me and then at the reunion... sorry Chase, Gavin is just so much better and more considerate.
As always the book ends in an epic cliffhanger that will have you so pissed and wishing you could grab certain characters and shake them, scream at them and open their eyes to what's right in from of them. I gotta admit I'm scared for Delaney. I have no idea who she's gonna pick because every day she goes back and forth between the two and there is a chance she might pick the wrong guy, the one who isn't it for the right reasons.
I'm on pins and needles waiting for book 2, to find out what Delaney will do, who she'll choose and how things will play out. Once again Lisa has completely captivated me and I'm so invested in this story and Delaney's choice. My heart is set on Gavin and I truly hope he finally gets the girl.

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of love triangles. In fact, I usually avoid books like these, but since Lisa Suzanne is one my favorite authors, of course I was going to read it. Everything she writes is pure gold to me, and this one most certainly did not disappoint. Interception is the beginning to the Love Triangle Duet, and Lisa Suzanne, the evil genius that she is, left readers off with one hell of a cliffhanger.
Delaney has a tough decision to make after attending her ten year high school reunion. Her high school sweetheart, who is now a pro football player, wants to make amends and give their relationship another go. The only problem? Her high school best friend, who is now a famous rock star, proclaims that he has always loved her and wants his chance with her. What is a girl to do? Well, she goes back and forth between the two, but it's clear to us readers that only one of them is true to his words. And in the end, we are no closer to finding out who she will ultimately choose. GAH!
Interception is only the beginning of this love story, and it left me reeling with my heart beating wildly and my mind racing with possibilities. I've read the "A Little Like Destiny" series so I'm familiar with the author. I admit, I haven't read a lot from her and she's fairly new to me but I'm definitely rectifying it.
I was browsing through instagram and read a post about this book. I read the blurb and I found myself really excited. I mean come on, two hot successful men fighting over the lowly, fallen-from-grace school teacher?? That's too good to resist! So I signed up and devoured the book overnight and let me tell you—OH.MY.FREAKING.GOD! OH.MY.FREAKING.GOD!
I know not everybody likes to read about love triangles. I get it... It can drive you crazy and it can be frustrating. And honestly, this story between Delaney, Gavin and Chase is just that. It's messy and her indecisiveness was driving me nuts. While I get that she wants to make the right decision, no decision is 100% full-proof. There's always that sliver of chance that it could go wrong because we're dealing with people and feelings. I was rolling my eyes at her and there were times when I want to shake her upside down, like come on, open your eyes! He's right in front of you. I was mentally writing down pros and cons between the two guys... and dude! That last page?? I can't even. WTF?
The characters mesh well... there's a steady build up of excitement... and that plot twist—that was such a lowlife move but it's what made it gripping... I'm not going to name names but I just gotta say, that I hope he falls deep and gets his heart genuinely shattered...
The whole story is sweet but also scandalous and you can't help but want more.
You know that saying... if you can't decide between two people, and if one of the contenders was me, then I'd rather not be the chosen one because I'd always wonder if it was genuine...
I won't dissect the story anymore... I'll stop right here.
I can't wait to read the conclusion! I'll be anxiously waiting in dire anticipation!

Well, I wasn’t ready for this second chance romance by Lisa Suzanne. I was surprised and excited all at the same time. But, unfortunately, I am going to have to keep some of thoughts to myself until Intermission releases.
Delaney has a few decisions to make. Does she follow her heart or her head? Does she trust the one person who broke her heart? Does she believe that her best friend from the past could be the man of her future? Does she chose Chase or Gavin?
Gavin, if believed, has loved Laney for 14 years. He’s written songs about his love and she doesn’t even know that they are about her. Can he convince her that he’s the real deal that it would be best to chose him and live the life of the woman of a rock star? He’s kind, considerate, always there for her … until she pushed him away. Now, he lives with the fear that she’s going back to him and he’ll be left behind, again.
Chase, if believed, never stopped loving Delaney. Or, so he says. He’s hell-bent on getting her back into his life, getting her to see that he let her go for her and she wasn’t the only one hurt by the break-up. He’s totally opposite of Gavin but he’s held her heart for the past 10 years. It can’t be too hard to get her back and get her to love him. But, there’s someone else that’s fighting for her love too. Did he do too much damage in the past to get her back. That’s about all I am going to say about this story. If I go into too much detail I will give everything away and I want everyone who reads this story to be as shocked as I was with the ending of Book 1. But, was I shocked or did I see it coming? Can’t tell you that either.
So, here is what I am hoping for in Intermission. That Delaney stops really feeling sorry for herself, opens her eyes and stops living in the past. I hope that Gavin is really in it for the right reasons, that he is truly being sincere and not hiding anything. That Chase gets what’s coming to him.
Lisa Suzanne really has me hooked on this Duet. I was truly engrossed in the story and sincerely wanted it to go right into Intermission so I could see where she is taking everyone. But, I’ll have to wait to get the answers to my questions.

OMG, I'm wondering why I am just now reading this author for the 1st time! I won an ARC of this book and was so excited for the opportunity to read it. It sure won't be the last time Lisa Suzanne burns a hole in my kindle! I'm going to need to prowl through her catalogue for more, more, more!
I'm not the most prolific sports romance reader but when you add a hot, sweet rockstar into the mix and I'm there with bells on!

Oh Lisa Suzanne!! What have you done to me....again?!?!
Seriously, I love a good cliffhanger in a duet......but that??? I had to read the last chapter a few times to make sure I read it right. When I was reading the rest of the story, I thought one of the men vying for Delaney's heart was holding something back, but I sure didn't expect that type of deception from him!! I was maybe 10% on his team, but not anymore.
I won't outright tell you if I'm #TeamGavin or #TeamChase (as I feel that gives away the ending of this book), but I will say that I hope that the man Laney ends up with is the one who wants to show her the world and gave her the sweetest forehead kiss all those years ago.

Let my preface this review by saying love triangle tropes are not my thing. But, I gave this book an honest go because I adore the author and she's never let me down. I truly liked all of the characters in the book and the love triangle romance wasn't nearly as off-putting as I expected. I honestly felt bad for Delaney. Her heart was torn in half between two completely different, yet worthy male suitors. I wavered back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, ultimately settling on a solid 4 for this book. I absolutely loved parts of it, other parts made me toss a little eye roll.
Interception started out as a book about a broken heart from young love, but quickly evolved into something so much deeper and confusing. Delaney would have to come face to face with her past at her high school reunion. A man she'd pined after for over a decade after he broke her heart in high school and everyone she grew up with who knew about her family drama and fall from grace. But she certainly didn't expect her best friend from 10 years ago to step up and confess his unrequited feelings for her on the very same night.
I absolutely adored rock star Gavin in this book. My heart and head were rooting for him to be the one that Delaney fell madly in love with and chose. I liked Chase, the NFL hot shot but something about him and his selfishness just rubbed me the wrong way. I tried to keep an open mind when reading this book, allowing the author to steer me in whatever direction she took the story but in the back of my mind I was always cheering for a Gavin and Delaney 'ship.
The fact that the heroine had the wherewithal to consider that something was amiss with the two men fighting for her love really made me want to high five her. She wasn't completely naive and did consider that maybe there was some sort of dishonest reason or something too peculiar about that fact that both her high school sweetheart and her high school male best friend were suddenly back in the picture and fighting for her affection. I think this nagging suspicion helped Delaney keep a slight guard up and not become a blinded, love sick fool.
The only aspect of this book I found to be unpleasant was the constant internal dialogue of Delaney. It seemed like she was obsessively rehashing her thoughts and feelings, repeating the same sentiments over and over (especially when she was in the presence of one character but thinking about the other). It became quite redundant and somewhat annoying. We get it, you're not sure which man to choose. Both have unique qualities and setbacks. I would have enjoyed more back story and dialogue vs so much repetitive emotional reflection by the heroine. It certainly took away from Delaney's strong, independent vibe.
The cliffhanger killed me!!!!! I literally gasped out loud when I read it. I had no idea how the author would wrap up this book, setting it up for the next read in the duet. I can honestly say I didn't see it coming. Now I'm chomping at the bit to see what happens next!

Choices, Choices!!
Choices are exactly what Delaney has to do when the two men from her past show up at their ten year class reunion. Chase is an all-star pro football player for the Broncos and Gavin is now a rock and roll star. Back at the prestigious high school they all attended it was high school football player Chase that Delaney thought she had the love of a lifetime with…until he was to go for college and he broke her heart leaving her behind when she needed him most. Her dad had just been caught up in a scandal leaving their family with nothing to their name. That’s also the time she broke away from her best friend Gavin. Even though they were the best of friends she didn’t want to bring her family’s mess upon him.
Now years later both have grown in to men that are not only extremely talented but extremely handsome and they both want Delaney. Gavin has finally professed his true love for Delaney after all these years which she never saw because she was so wrapped up in Chase. So how do you choose between the heart stopping rock star that has wrote songs about you and has set your insides on fire and the pro football player is finally rekindling her feelings from all those years ago?
This author writes stories like no other. She knows how to pull you in and leave you right at the edge of your seat until the very last page is turned. Newsflash!! Those last couple of pages will leave you hanging by a thread after situations are revealed and your breath is stolen. The next book can’t come soon enough for this reader!!

Lisa Suzanne is one of the very few authors that will have me reading love triangles. Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan but I'll read hers because I know they’re that good, they aren't that hard to read and I am always happy with how they end. This author writes stories like no other. She knows how to pull you in and leave you right at the edge of your seat until the very last page is turned.

While attending her high school reunion, Delaney never thought she would be caught between the now pro NFL player boyfriend who dumped her who she is still pining away for and the best friend who is now a rock star who has always loved her. Although she is the muse for Gavin's music and sparks fly between them it only takes one moment of Chase telling her he wants her back to throw caution to the wind. But can she choose between former love and aspiring love? Can you really love two men at the same time? I absolutely fell in love with Delaney from the opening pages of this book and although Lisa Suzanne has all of us going back and forth more than a ride on a see-saw you will never see the ending coming....I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. So will you be Team Gavin or Team Chase??

Lisa Suzanne knows how to twist you up over a love triangle! I found myself rooting for both leading men and so hard to decide which one I think is best for Delaney... Suzanne goes right where you hope she is going to go in a love triangle with all the push and pull and did I mention they all go back to their high school days?!?! Second chance romances are my jam and throw in a love triangle, this is a book you CAN. NOT. PUT. DOWN!

This book is soooo good! I love Ms. Suzanne’s writing and how she touched my heart and soul. I normally write my reviews as soon as I finish a book, but I had to wait awhile on this one as I am so emotionally involved. I felt bad for everything that Delaney has gone through since high school. But it is ten years later and a high school reunion is coming up. Delaney has been so hung up on Chase since high school and was devastated when he broke up with her. Boy does she get the surprise of her life when she goes to the reunion and sees her best friend Gavin who is now a hot, good looking rock star, and the band is singing at the reunion. Delaney feels like he is singing to her, but how can that be? Then she runs into Chase with a date, and he says he is glad to see her and wants to catch up. Gavin, who has always been there for her and is nice, sexy and her friend tells her about his feelings. Delaney goes from no men in her life to two men all in one night! It has to be hard trying to get to know to men again who was once I your life before. How do you choose?

Delaney has held on to the fact that the boy, Chase, she thought she would be with forever, actually broke up with her before he went off to college, and she's never moved on from him. Add in the family scandal that put them in the poor house, she's not talked to any of her old friends with the exception of one. She even stopped talking to her male bestie, Gavin. The one bestie she never stopped talking to, actually talked her into going to their 10 year reunion, and she comes face to face with Chase, who's now a pro football player, and former male bestie, Gavin, a rock star. And Gavin tells her that he's always loved her, and they spend a HOT night together. Then the next morning, Chase tells her that he never stopped thinking about her, and wants another chance. This is what set me off, because Chase actually brought a date to the reunion, then is trying for another chance with Delaney, and she's actually entertaining it. Enter in an insane push & pull with Delaney not knowing how to make a decision to save her life, which drove me crazy. Finally, a cliffhanger so insane that I'm still LIVID, and pray that Delaney gets her head out of her a** in the next book because I need her to pull her big girl panties on & quit being so wishy washy. Obviously, I have some extreme emotions left, and you can have those too, all you have to do is one click this drama filled journey! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Receiving an ARC of Interception was like a dream come true! I’ve been a Lisa Suzanne fan for a while now and I was so excited to be given the opportunity to read this before it’s available to the public.
Interception is book one in the Love Triangle Duet and focuses on Delaney. Delaney had her heart broken 10 years ago by her high school sweetheart, Chase, followed by a family scandal that also meant losing her best friend, Gavin, to keep him safe from the scandal. Now, 10 years later, they are both back in her life and they both want her. They both offer her a very different opportunity but her heart is torn as she realizes she’s in love with both of them.
The cliffhanger at the end KILLS me because now I have to try to be patient as I await book two... so be prepared to feel all the feels and have your heart torn just like Delaney!

I loved this book. What I mean is I LOVED this book!
This book has a solid and slightly unique story line. And the characters were well thought out and endearing. Can’t say too much about them without letting some of the story become the ”cat out of the bag” kind of thing. And, trust me, nobody wants this story spoiled. The main characters kept me entranced and the supporting characters keep the flow going nicely.
I have not read any of Lisa Suzanne’s work before. I had no idea what to expect. I was in for a very nice surprise. She is a great storyteller. This book is so worthy of the read. This book has everything. Angst, tears, laughter, twists and turns, love and heat, lots of emotions, too. This was one of my all-time favorite books. I would give it 7 out of 5 stars. I am tearing my hair out here,because OMG..Wow,Wow,Wowser Lisa really knows how to weave a story that will just grab you and have you begging for more..
Everyone knows that Love triangles are not my favourite kinds of books,but I am so glad I read this one.It is clear to me who I want Delaney to be with,she has two men Gavin and Chase trying to win her heart.They are both a very important part of her past,and so she cares for both of them,but choosing between them is much harder than she ever expected.
I really enjoyed this story it kept me on the edge of my seat and is a real rollercoaster.
be warned Yes it ends on a cliffhanger,but don't let this put you off reading this book because you will regret it.

Omg this book! The delicious back and forth between yearning for the past and being blown away in the present is everything. Thank you, Lisa Suzanne, for killing me in the best way.

Flash forward ten years and suddenly, both men are back in her life and ardently pursuing her romantically.

Delaney lost everything ten years ago; her home, her privileged life, her boyfriend and her best friend. At her High School reunion, she reconnects with the boyfriend she never stopped loving and her best friend, a man that never stopped loving her. Who will win her heart? I was back and forth with Delaney until that final cliffhanger chapter that sent ice down my spine. Guess I’ll have to wait until Intermissions, book two, comes out!

O.M.Gosh!!!! This book was sooooooo good! As if the cover wasn’t hot enough, the inside was smoking! Lisa Suzanne is the master of love triangles and this one may be her best yet. I don’t usually love when there’s more than one person involved in a love story. I’m as traditional as they come in wanting a one man, one woman romantic passionate happily ever after. But this one just hits you in the heart and grabs you from the first page! I’m not giving away any spoilers, but I knew who I was rooting for Delaney to choose before the last page... I just can’t wait to see how it all plays out with Chase and Gavin. Highly highly recommend this one!!!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Interception, and WOW! Just wow! Lisa Suzanne has done it again! I have read almost every book she’s written and thus one was fabulous! I knew who I thought Delaney should end up with early on, but then the last chapter solidified it for me! I knew there was something off about him! The only thing stopping me from a 5 star review was the cliffhanger! I almost wish I didn’t read the ARC, because now I need to wait even longer for Intermission! Gah!
I also need to add how I love the little common thread in her books. I have a book boyfriend crush on a Mark Ashton and I love how he’s name dropped in this one!
