This book is about boy and his dog thinking about planting a dinosaur garden. He starts telling his dog all of the different characteristics about dinosaurs such as some can be plant eaters and others are meat eaters. The boy goes to the store and gets seeds that he thinks the dinosaurs would like. They go home, plant the seeds, and water them. Once everything settles, a huge forest appears with a bunch of dinosaurs. It is back in the time of when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The boy finds an egg and asks all of the different types of dinosaurs if the egg belongs to them. It then cracks open and they can see it is a baby t-rex. They run away because mom started chasing them and wanted to eat them. Then a pterodactyl comes to the rescue and picks them up. They fly and he drops them off back to the garden where it all started. The boy discovers another egg so they bring it back home and wait for it to crack.

I thought this book was really cute and fun especially for little kids. The illustrations were great and showed a lot of detail. I think kids really enjoy this book because it is all about dinosaurs and brining them back into the modern world. It shows two of the most known dinosaurs, which I thought was really cool. It was also cute how the main characters were boy and his best friend also known as Bones the dog. I feel like this book would be great for maybe a bedtime story because it kind of is imaginative. The kids will be able to dream about this when they sleep because it is something that could happen in a dream. The book had a glossary of all the dinosaurs and their pictures next to them. It had the pronunciation and the definition next to it, which was really nice. This was a great touch to the book because most little kids don’t know all of the dinosaurs and this helps them learn them a little bit. I really liked this book and would read it in a future classroom.

I like how the dinosaurs "talked" in dinosaur-language with subtitles in English. Cute story of a boy planting a garden that magically grows and takes him into the time of dinosaurs.
