Denmark in the Thirty Years War, 1618-1648: King Christian IV and the Decline of the Oldenburg State

Rate this book
This book focuses on Denmark's involvement in the Thirty Years' War, as this involvement was conditioned by the Reichsfurst mentality of King Christian IV. It also questions the reasons for the failure of Christian's attempts to maintain the prewar status quo in northern Germany and to protect the territorial integrity of Denmark.
