Lea was born into the Notorious Devils life. A daughter of a traitor.
She fell in love at the age of fourteen, maybe even before that. She is determined to become a woman that he can love, even if she can never have him.
When trouble appears in her life, she is forced to call upon the Devils to save her. She reaches out to the one man that she knows she shouldn’t.
Baby knows that his relationship with Lea has only ever been platonic. Even if nobody else in the club has understood their bond, he has only ever wanted to protect her.
When his phone rings six years after she leaves for boarding school, he doesn’t hesitate to come to her rescue. After all, he has always vowed to have her back.
He knows it’s wrong. He cannot deny that this wild child has turned into a beautiful wild woman. One that he cannot let go. He must make her his, even if he is not available to give himself to her completely.
Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
This is a good story for the most part. I just don't understand why it has to read like a porno ! I read the first series before this one and I absolutely loved it. This not so much. All the books in this one read like violent porn. All the men cheat on the women they are with, and actually tell them they'll do what they want ,when they want and the women will just accept it and keep their mouths shut. They women act just like their sex slaves when they are with their men. Obey on command and dropping to their knees when their men tell them to, whether it be in a room full of people or be themselves. It's absolutely ridiculous. I really don't understand why so many other readers like these books so much and not become upset at all the cheating and sexual violence. Yes I understand some people have a taste for that kind of sex, and I really don't mind it sometimes in one of the books in a series, but really does every single book have to have every single couple be like that? As for the cheating, that's in every single book of this series, I have to wonder did the author her self experience this and accepted it and that's why she continues to write this way. As if to make it ok for herself for accepting it and continually do so. In what way does anyone really accept your partner cheating on you and telling you to shut your mouth that's how it is ,no matter how you feel about it. I think this whole series did nothing but break my heart especially with so many people being ok with all of what these men do to their women.!!!!!
It is what it is. This authors Heroes never change. Cheating, he marks one woman and is engaged to another, there are reasons but still cheating..... It's well written but you have to get past the attitude of the men. HEA, as much as a woman can be within this world where men gotta do what men gotta do....
Mixed with Trouble is the final installment of the riveting Cash Bar series by Hayley Faiman. The story of Baby and Lea was the perfect ending to this series!
As per usual reading a book by this author you run through a gauntlet of emotions. Two explosive characters with Lea and Baby makes for a dramatic, sexy emotional ride.
What makes this story so amazing is the growth of Lea. Because of Fish's betrayal and other injuries done to her, Lea developed as a character in ways that you wouldn't see your typical heroine. She isn't perfect and times you question if she can survive life. But then you look deep and see her hidden strength.
It's hard for me to say much about Baby because like a majority of the men Hayley Faiman writes I just want to throat punch them and kick them in the balls when they are down. Sweet Lord it takes forever to get their heads on straight! Half the time I'm not sure if I even like them...until Hayley makes me fall in love with them.
Excellent story and a phenomenal series! You never go wrong with a Hayley Faiman book!
This Emotional, heart wrenching, raw story will own you! Hayley Faiman is Queen of her element I loved every last word of this book and I know you will to it is everything!
I’m suffering from the biggest book HANGOVER EVER! What Hayley creates is a unique story that will continuously shocks you with how powerful written words can truly be..
Hayley Faiman is such a fantastic writer and is so versatile. Her MC books are among the best I’ve ever read and her Mafia books are to die for. Her Cash Bar Series became one of my favorites, with heroes who aren’t always nice guys, in fact most of them you’ll want to smack several times before the story ends, and female leads that are usually strong, but sometimes a little damaged. Mixed With Trouble has all those elements. Baby and Lea aren’t new characters to anyone who’s read previous books in this series, in fact we’ve watched Lea grow up and so has Baby. She has had a major crush on him since she was a teenager, but he was a grown man and cared for her, but definitely not in a creepy way. They’re parted when she’s in her teens and are brought back together several years later when trouble lands on her door. She’s still in love and he realizes he is too. Of course a happily ever after is never easy and there are tons of obstacles to get through, but it’s all worth it in the end. Loved this book and highly recommend it, but I also suggest that you go back and read the previous books in the series. This book could be a standalone, but it’s much more entertaining to know the supporting characters. Oh, and she threw in a bonus short story that was equally fabulous! Thank you for the amazing read, Ms. Faiman, totally appreciate you sharing your vivid imagination with us and can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
I never would have expected this from Lea’s story – but it was the perfect one for her! With this series coming to an end, it was the perfect story to end with as we have followed Baby and Lea’s story through all the books within this series. Not only did Hayley give this couple a storyline that so perfectly fits them and their personalities, but also gave us an ending for this chapter of the MC that gave us the happy ever after (as much as one within a MC universe can have) that we wanted so badly for them. Because we have read about and gotten to know Lea and Baby prior to this book, the book essentially catches us up on what has happened to Lea after the situation with Fish. Still harboring the same feelings and attitude, she finds herself in more trouble than she can work her way out of, and she calls the one person she knows will always come – Baby. While Baby has sacrificed for the club within his relationship status, he will move hell and high water for Lea and when she gives him the opening, he takes his chance, no matter the consequences from anyone. I love this MC and the books from both chapters, so I’m hoping that Hayley continues this overall series with another chapter (fingers crossed)!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
My poor little heart. It took quite a beating while reading this. #WorthIt! There’s nothing that can fully prepare you for how much Baby and Lea’s story is going to make you feel all the feelings. I’m talking crying, raging, swooning, fanning yourself, gasping. ALL THE THINGS! As with all the Cash Bar novels, Mixed With Trouble is not for the faint of heart. While the romance is alive and well (and hot AF) this book is still just as gritty and raw as the rest of them. There’s no sugar coated bikers to be found in this bunch. Baby and Lea and been a storm that was brewing for years. These two are explosive from the second they’re reunited and their story continues to be nonstop action, heat and emotion start to finish. I’m talking twists and turns around every corner, grab a fan or...whatever, and get some tissues and a punching bag. These two are going to pull you deep into their world and take over your heart. And the bonus short story? I don’t want to spoil anything, but 😍😍 YAAAAAS! It was everything!
Hayley’s MC’s aren’t for the faint of heart and I can tell you that Mixed With Trouble should be read alone and be prepared for moments that will make you scream, cry and have you burning with desire! Baby and Lea’s story is a tough one but I couldn’t imagine this series ending any other way! Their story shows just how hard the struggle and how hard of a journey club love can really be! It’s not easy and it’s definitely always changing!
Cash bar novels though are more than just about the MC! Cash bar is a place that all the old ladies have paid their dues too! When life handed them tough times cash bar was there to say “fuck them I got you” and this MC definitely has each other’s backs! If you haven’t started any of the Cash Bar novels that’s ok! You can pick up wherever even with this one as your first! You will definitely love this amazing club and fa hard and fast for the brutal love they have to give!
What a brilliant end to this fantastic series. Hayley brought the big guns with this one.
I was hooked from beginning to end with this one.
Whilst I was routing for Baby and Lea I seriously wanted to punch Baby in the junk for the truth he kept from Lea. I understand why he had to do what he did but I don't understand why he didn't just explain it instead of blindsiding her and ripping her heart to shreds when he knows she already vulnerable.
So much was going on in this tale, it was action packed and full of drama, passion and heat. I honestly didn't know which way this tale was going to go. I knew Baby and Lea would get their HEA eventually but I wasn't sure how bad the journey to get there would be.
Loved the extra short story at the end, it finished of the Cash Bar series perfectly
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions
If you like MC reads and are ok with age differences, this is going to be right up your alley. I think the story with Baby and Lea was beautiful in a tragic way. What happens when you find the love of your life when you are 14 and he is almost the age of your father? Read the book to see how it all plays out. There are some pretty crazy things involved and it made my jaw drop SEVERAL times. I can say that I was highly entertained reading this and am a huge fan of Hayley Faiman!
PS: Thank you to Hayley and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!
Baby has known Lea her whole life he watched her grow up within the MC and from a young age she’d crushed on him but their relationship never crossed the line beyond friendship. Lea parted ways from the MC for a while however she knew they’d always be there if she needed them which is why she calls Baby when she finds herself in trouble and he comes to her rescue. Despite any consequences within the club Baby makes his move on Lea, putting his mark on her however there’s trouble ahead for couple with loose ends needing to be tied up. We get to see the MC as a whole, come together and work towards overcoming any obstacles in their way.
Mixed with Trouble is another fabulous five star read from the amazingly talented Ms Faiman, I can’t wait to see what she’s got in-store next for us readers.
I enjoyed this story so much! It had all the things I have come to expect and love in a Hayley Faiman book. I am never disappointed I always fall for her a$$hole heros, the story always captivates me with conflict and angst, and an action packed nailbiting ending before a perfect HEA. This one was a bit of a forbidden. They shouldn't be together but they were so good together. I loved their story meant to even when they shouldn't have been. She was too young and he was a grown man but they always had a connection. The story that played out linking their time apart and resulted in bringing them back together kept me glued to my Kindle till the end. But it wasn't the end. I got a short story about a couple who showed a spark. I love when she gives us a bonus.
I didn’t expect Baby and Lea to fall in love like they do. I definitely didn’t see Lea becoming the woman she is. I know Fish’s betrayal and a horrible incident changed her as a young girl but to see who she is now from where we last saw her was a shock.
Of course Hayley loves to hit us with a little shock and awe in her books.
The men of this MC have been driving me up the wall for a while now with their behavior towards the women they claim to love. So fair warning you will find your self just as aggravated with Baby if you feel the same way as I do about the previous books and their behavior.
Hot hot hot is what this story was. Lea and Baby were go great. Yeah sole parts of this book made me angry, some parts made me hot and others made me swoon. This whole series has been a wild ride and I love it. There’s an awesome family dynamic, great banter between the characters and great action. A well rounded story. I won’t give too much away but this story really made my heart happy for these two characters. I rooted for them from the start. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Also; another great novella at the end. These novellas are something I seem to look forward to and they give us the perfect view on characters that deserve a HEA.
Great for fans of MC series heavy on the family drama. There's a lot to like here: a tightly interwoven MC family with lots going on and complicated histories, strong characterisation and good grasp of the MC world. However, the story failed to grab me at the beginning and I really had to push myself through the first few chapters to get to a point where I felt invested enough in the characters enough to read on. Although they characters are well-drawn they felt familiar in the MC world (nothing really quirky or special). Once the story hits its stride, it is engaging. The bonus story at the end is a really nice touch.
We return to the Cash Bar with the story of Baby and Lea. With a long history, feelings that have been ignored for far too long and trouble already in his life, Baby must do whatever it takes to protect his club, and Lea. What follows is an action packed, intense, and sometimes gruesome ride. You will not be able to put down this book until the end. And then, you will keep going thanks to the bonus short story that is EVERYTHING you want and need!
I have been wanting Baby story since book one and let's just say it was worth the wait!!! What I love about this series is how different each couple is. This story isn't a flowery MC romance and you'll want to scream a bit here and there but like all her books, by the end you love them. And this cover is a perfect representation of the couple. I'm so sad to see this series end but I'm excited to see what Hayley has to offer in the future.
This series just keeps getting better and better love the book and everything about it it would be just one of the books just all stories written by this author were you just need more .Cash bar series can be read as a standalone but I do recommend that you read them in order to get more enjoyment out of the books . I can't wait to read more books by one of my top favorite authors .
Such a good book. Hayley Faiman wrote another winning story.
Loved the story of Baby and Lea. The story was so full of romance and interesting moments. Both characters were very stubborn and demanding. I hope there will be another Notorious Devil book. I love all the characters and story lines.
I will say, this author’s writing is addicting. Even when I hate what’s going on in her books I can’t stop reading. But my God… the cheating in both her MC series is rampant and so hard to read. It isn’t bad in every book, but it’s always there in some capacity. It’s the worst when the heroes cheat and don’t care. SPOILERS AHEAD
At least in this book, Baby is blackmailed into cheating and he hated doing it. But it was so descriptive and disgusting to read. Especially when he has amazing and emotional sex with the love of his life and in the next few pages is having sex with the repugnant woman who is blackmailing him. I HATED reading that. But then I couldn’t stop and I had to see how this book ended.
I really liked Baby and Lea though. I was really pissed that he almost walked away from her after everything that he put her through because of the typical ridiculous “I’m not good enough”. At least that was short lived.
I really like hardcore biker "romances". I know what to expect & I often read 2 or 3 quickly in between waiting for my other authors to publish (love espionage, mysteries, historical, well-written romance ie, Nora Roberts), cause these are easy reads. However, while I enjoy the gritty & don't mind some ow drama, all of this author's books seem to involve cheating - often more than once - and the ML always cheats on the FL, and she's supposed to take this bullshit.
After reading several of her stories, I truly believe that Ms. Faiman dislikes women and/or thinks that unrelenting sexual activity by the man w/both his supposed "love" and ow is romance, and that 90% of her female leads should be used as a doormat. Sad.
This is one of those rage inducing stories…..it’s sooo good but oh so wrong. Another story that I just love to hate. The author is so good at filling us with rage against the alpha a$$holes in these books. The one thing I keep repeating in my reviews is…..I JUST CAN’T STOP READING THEM….arghhhhh! They make me oh so mad, but make my heart beat faster…..I’m addicted 😆 I can imagine Hayley sitting in front of her computer with a gleam in her eye, rubbing her hands with glee and laughing with a mwahaha…..just knowing what emotions of rage and anger these story lines will extract from us. I take my hat off to you and bow down in your presence 👑👸
I enjoyed some aspects of these book like the storyline but the women we're all weak for me. Alpha male can't keep his dick still and then they used sex on their old ladies/gf to shut them up... Treated like shit but forgets all about it because he turns her on.. weak, every single one.. so four stars for the storyline but I don't think I liked any of the women in all the books or the men either.. Just not my cup of tea but I had to finish them all..
It is so hard to find a good MC romance lately. I have devoured everything I can find and sadly find myself returning a lot of books. Feynman does not disappoint. Her books are real gritty and deliver the happily ever after we desire. I am anxiously waiting for her to start a new MC series because well written books are seriously hard to find.
This was another great read in this series. There were definitely moments I wanted to junk punch Baby but that’s how this author writes her heroes. Plenty of action in this one.
I'm so sad this series is over. I fell in love with baby In Hayden's book never imagined Lea Wld be who he ended up with. But it was perfect, Just like the series before this and just like this series. id rate 10 stars if I could. 😍
This review is going to be hard to write because I'm so upset since I've NEVER NOT ONCE hated one of Hayley Faimans heroes, and while I did give it 5 stars, it's purely from the suspense factor & the fact that I didn't want to put it down until I knew how it all panned out. Man, I hated the hero or should I say, anti-hero, Baby, and NEVER stopped! He was a complete POS dirt bag, who continuously made no good, very bad decisions, and trust me, it really upsets me to have to say any of this, but Baby deserved so much bad to happen to him, and I'm pissed that it didn't. In fact, I would rather he be killed off in future book, since Lea won't ever leave him while he's alive. Of course she's been in love with him since she was like 14 years old I believe, but she got sent off to boarding school until she graduated, then she refused to come home after that, which I don't blame her a bit. She was a tortured soul who feels like no man will ever stay, so she became a wild party girl, who will hook up with random dudes, until she met one who turned out to be slightly worse than Baby, of course she didn't know at that time how horrible Baby was. And she ended up in big danger because of him, so she finally had to call Baby to come get her ASAP. While they were on the way home, he made a decision that he should have NEVER made at that moment, because not only was he lying to her, he didn't have that right. Then they get home, and he leaves her there, to add to the bad decisions without ever warning her what was going on. It was that point when I wanted him dead, and never stopped feeling like that. He hurt her big time, and frankly, she should have left him instead. I just can't deal with his type of behavior, because all he cared about was himself, and the a**hat knew that Lea had some issues about men abandoning her, but just didn't give a crap since he wanted what he wanted when he wanted it. He even told her that since she's his, he can do whatever he wants to, and she has to accept it. Man, I'm still so pissed off it's not even funny. I HATED him, I STILL HATE him, and I'll NEVER STOP hating him, and make no apologies. I really wished Lea would have decided on Coda after all of the POS's lies came out without warning, I mean, if he loved Lea like he said he did, he would have warned her, so no, he didn't love her. He didn't love anyone but himself. I'll stop the rant now & actually talk the great things about this story. The danger to Lea was big, and only tidbits here & there came out, so the twists were crazy, making me drop f-bombs everywhere. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, since I didn't know what was coming next, and I love when a story does that to me. Obviously, Ms. Faiman has a way of writing which kept me hooked, & had me feeling like Lea was a friend in real life, despite the hatred of Baby, and that takes a truly brilliant author, because 99% of the time, if I despise a POS anti-hero, I'll stop reading immediately & get rid of the book, so yeah, I love her brilliance. And the bonus short story about Coda was what the doctor ordered to combat my rage. Anyway, I just can't write anymore because I'm seriously getting pissed all over again, and if I think about how many people loved Baby, my head will explode. But, since everyone is entitled to their opinion (like I am to mine), I'm going to encourage others to decide for themselves & one click Mixed with Trouble, because at the end of the day, it's Hayley Faiman!
