A Summer for Reuniting

She regrets speaking too soon the first time.
He regrets not speaking soon enough.
Can they find the middle ground and make it work this time?

Oliver Sutton is about to start a new job at Yale. His sister convinces him to visit her before he makes his trek across the country, but he hopes he doesn’t run into Allison again. The last time he saw her, memories of their whirlwind romance nearly had him on his knees. He doesn’t want to face the same predicament he was in with her four years ago: the job or the girl.

Allison Cayton has built a new life for herself since Oliver left. Her coffee shop is thriving, but she’s never moved on. When Oliver shows up in town again, she decides to pretend she has. After recruiting her fake boyfriend, she realizes it’s a mistake, but it’s too late. She has to commit to the lie or look as lonely as she feels in front of her ex who, if he had the choice, would choose this much more impressive job over her. Again.

But Allison only knows half of the truth. Oliver's side might make her feel different about the past. So when their lies catch up to them, will they crash and burn yet again? Or will True Love hold them in its grip until they realize they’re meant to be?

Oliver and Allison had a secret romance four years ago, but after losing his parents hearing I love you from her scared him and he ran off to be a history professor at ASU. Now he’s just visiting for two week to see his sister and help with inn renovations on the way to a new job at Yale University. He still has feelings for Allison, but he’s moving to CT and her coffee shop is in True Love, AZ. She doesn’t want him to feel sorry for her so she pretends to have a boyfriend and then thinks he’s dating the new girl who just arrived in town. There were a lot of miscommunications and misunderstandings in this second chance romance. It was great to catch up with the characters from the previous stories in the series and meet new ones that could potentially find romance in future books.

freedom with the truth

It is always so heartbreaking when you see characters who could be perfectly happy if they would just be honest with one another and stop lying. Is it a cautionary tale? So I really like this town, True Love, AZ, as a setting. I've read other books from this series, and I think I'm as much in love with the town as any of the characters who live there.

I like Oli and Ali a lot, but as previously mentioned, it is sad they can't see what is right in front of one another and feel like they need to hide. Of course they work it out. The truth comes out, and there is happiness in the end.

Eliza Boyd has a way of weaving small-town charm with deep emotions that makes you feel right at home in True Love, AZ. Oliver and Allison’s journey pulled me in from the start, the regret, the what-ifs, and the slow burn of realizing that love doesn’t always fade, it just waits.

The chemistry felt real, the setting was cozy, and the “fake boyfriend” twist added just the right amount of tension and fun. This isn’t just a romance, it’s a gentle reminder that sometimes the timing just has to catch up with the heart.

If you’re looking for a clean, feel-good, friends-to-lovers story with the magic of second chances, this book will absolutely leave you smiling (and maybe craving coffee from Allison’s shop!).

When Alyson tells Oliver she loves him, her timing could not have been any worse - his parents had just died and he was scared to let anyone too near to his t, so he left to pursue his career. But neither forgot the love they had, and when Oliver returns to see his twin sister before he moves even further away his sister and friends plan an intervention.
The story itself was fairly common and nothing was outstanding, but it was entertaining - especially when Ally brings up a fake fiance.
Enjoyable and an easy read for the beach or a relaxing day.

This was so sweet. Ali and Oli were meant to be together but four years ago, Oliver left the town after his parents died and in his wake, also left Ali heartbroken. Now he’s back for his sister before he moves again and all those old feelings return for both. But misunderstandings can make it hurt more and it’s up to their friends to help these be honest. I hope we get to see them again because we didn’t get an epilogue.

It Pays To Communicate
By Korkoi

This story is about two stubborn individuals who love each other but are afraid to communicate that fact due to their past broken heart. Their friends make it their business to interfere in their lives so that they can be brave enough to tell each other what they are feeling. This clean romantic story, has twists, miscommunication and an unbelievably fake relationship. It is a nice read that will keep you relaxed.

A Summer For Reuniting is a clean, wonderful romance from True Love, AZ. Ali and Oliver are well written characters who spent a wonderful month together before Oliver's world collapsed and he walked away. They have both moved on. Ali spoke the truth once so now she is tangled in a web of lies. Will the real truth come out? Do these two have a second chance at love? See how Oliver's two week stay in True Love comes to a conclusion. I enjoyed all the stories set in True Love.

Allison and Oliver had a romance a few years ago until she told him she loved him and he shut down and moved away. Well he is back to visit his sister and Allison has learned her lesson and hopes to avoid him but just in case she has gotten Kyle to pretend to be her boyfriend. This is a sweet romance and if they can just be honest maybe things will work out for them.
Received from the author and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

A Heartfelt Second-Chance Romance

Oliver faces a difficult choice: pursue his career dreams or follow his heart to the woman he’s always loved. Allison, meanwhile, has long regretted her too-fast, too-soon confession that once drove him away.

A Summer for Reuniting by Eliza Boyd is a touching second-chance romance that delivers both emotion and hope. While it’s part of a series, it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone, though it left me curious about all the stories that came before!

Book four in the True Love, AZ series a second chance story. Four years ago Allison Cayton told Oliver Sutton she loved him and he left True Love without saying anything. He is back and Allison asks Kyle to pretend to be her boyfriend. I enjoyed reading this well written story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this sweet second chance at love novella. Oliver and Allison meet again after breaking up four years earlier. Through a series of misunderstandings, they may not have their second chance after all.

I like the characters in this book and found the story to be very well-written.

Although this is the 4th book on the series based in True Love, Arizona there is a prequel. All are standalone, but I recommend reading them in order. This is a sweet clean story with strong well developed characters. Enough drama and issues to keep you interested. Don't miss this one.

Great story set in True Love, AZ. This is a clean, well-written romance with interesting characters. Oliver and Allison had a secret romance 4 years ago. Then Oliver's parents died and he left town. When he comes back to town, Allison pretends to have a boyfriend so Oliver won't feel sorry for her. Then Allison sees Oliver with a new woman in town and thinks he has moved on. Unknown to her, Oliver is not dating her. There are a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications which could have been cleared up if they had actually talked to each other. Loved the way their friends talk to them and insist they be honest with each other. Nice ending.

I was disappointed in this one. Overall, the series is pretty hokey, but the previous ones were a lot more fun. This one just seemed hokey and kind of dumb. Not feeling very enthusiastic about finishing out the series now. Two stars.
