Describes the physical characteristics, habits, and natural environment of various North American birds and provides tips for observing backyard birds.
I did not think this book was a very good informational book. It had one or two interesting facts of one bird on each page and that was it. It also gave ideas for children to do at home in order to attract birds to their yard. If I was teaching a unit on birds, I would not choose this book.
Throughout this story the reader will learn about more birds and how the birds look and fly, plus where they live. The pictures attract the reader as well to give a better picture of what the birds look like.
